The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for dining and getting around. The room itself is spacious and very clean. You can catch a partial glimpse of the Xiang River from the room, which is better than no view at all.
The hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor. The staff at the front desk seemed genuinely unhappy with their jobs. When I asked if I could temporarily borrow a charging cable, they didn't even bother to look up from their phone, simply telling me to ask housekeeping. It seems they always wear a long face and never crack a smile.
The bathroom has an electric bidet seat, which was a nice touch. On the downside, the power outlets in the room don't have USB charging ports, so I'd suggest an upgrade there.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. It's close to the subway station, and you can even walk directly from the hotel across the bridge to Orange Isle. Plus, it offers quick access to various other nearby attractions.
The hotel is spread across three floors: the lobby and breakfast area are located on the 7th floor, while guest rooms are on the 5th and 6th floors. The ground floor entrance and lobby are shared with other businesses. To check in, you'll first need to take the elevator to the 7th floor to obtain your room card, which then grants access to the guest room floors.
Breakfast is decent; while it doesn't compare to a five-star hotel, it's definitely better than what you'd find at an average express hotel. In the evening, the 7th floor also offers a pleasant spot to relax with some tea, chat, enjoy the scenery, feel the breeze, and listen to music.
The hotel's decor is quite good, and amenities like toothbrushes, slippers, and hairdryers are all of high quality. The toilets are smart bidets, and rooms also come with a mini-fridge. While the in-room smart voice control works, guests not fluent in Mandarin might find it easier to use the manual switches.
For evening meals, you'll find plenty of dining choices right on the hotel's street, all within a short walk. Shopping at Wanda Plaza is also conveniently close.
The only downside is the children's pool on the 7th floor. It's very small and shallow, really only suitable for toddlers to splash in. More importantly, the soundproofing around the pool is poor. Guests in rooms 608, 609, and 610, which are directly below the pool, reported being disturbed by children playing in the water as late as 11 PM. This was quite noisy and negatively impacted their rest and mood. I strongly advise against booking these three rooms, especially during summer, as the noise can be genuinely disruptive.
Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it as a top choice for anyone visiting Changsha.

I rarely write long reviews, but this place truly deserves one. I initially booked the wrong room type, a twin suite, and only realized it upon check-in when it was too late to change. However, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and quick to offer several solutions. I found this level of service exceptional!
Considering Changsha's vibrant nightlife, I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast runs until 1 PM! This kind of thoughtful, customer-centric approach truly impressed me.
The hotel's location is also excellent. Downstairs, there are just enough eateries and shops to meet immediate needs without being noisy.
The entire ambiance is very stylish and artistic. For those tired of 'traditional hotel decor,' choosing this place genuinely feels warm and tasteful.
The bed was comfortable. While I'm not a fan of Dyson hairdryers myself, having them here certainly puts it on par with five-star hotel standards. I was also surprised to find a lighted vanity mirror on the desk, as I always have to bring my own folding makeup mirror. This truly shows an incredible attention to guest needs.
All I can say is that for this price, compared to a 2-3000 RMB suite at a five-star hotel, the experience far exceeded my expectations!

I really loved the minimalist Chinese style here; the attention to detail clearly shows how much thought the owner put into it. The front courtyard is perfect for enjoying tea, offering a serene and comfortable environment where you can stay cool and relax, even when it's 38°C outside. Chaodong Street is definitely the best place in Changsha for a short two to three-day stay. I'll definitely be back! Many thanks to the owner for the excellent tea.
For our family trip (two adults, one child), picking the right hotel made all the difference! The room was equipped with two 1.35m beds, providing ample space for all three of us. The mattresses were perfectly comfortable – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a sound night's sleep every single night. This was a huge plus!
Moreover, the room was incredibly spacious; it never felt cramped, and our child had plenty of room to run and play. The facilities clearly looked new and were very user-friendly. Cleanliness was also impeccable; every corner felt spotless and well-maintained.
From check-in to check-out, the overall experience was fantastic and completely exceeded our expectations. It offers excellent value for money, and we will definitely choose this place again on our next visit!

Excellent as always! This is my go-to hotel every time I visit Changsha. The hotel boasts a convenient location, immaculately clean rooms, and wonderfully soft, comfortable bedding. The service is truly exceptional. From the warm and thoughtful check-in process at the front desk to the swift response to any requests during our stay, the staff consistently exhibits a high level of professionalism that leaves you feeling genuinely well-cared for. Furthermore, the pricing is very reasonable, offering outstanding value for money and clearly setting it apart from other hotels in the same price bracket. I sincerely hope this high quality of service continues!

Our stay as a family of four had been extremely pleasant. Whilst it goes without saying that the hotel was beautifully designed with artistic touches even in the rooms, the aspect that impressed us the most was the attention to details the staff had. They were extremely helpful, always looking out for you even before you realising you needed help. It’s the little things that count- like the staff helping with our heavy heavy suitcases all the way to the main road (our taxi wasn’t able to get into the small alleyway) even when it was raining; remembering that my mom doesn’t eat beef, packing our favourite fruits for us to bring on our next journey. With service as impeccable as this, we felt at ease during our stay here and can’t wait to be back if we’re visiting Changsha again! (special shoutout to Ms. 柯, you have been very helpful and we appreciate your help!)
The InterContinental Changsha North Star is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Changsha. On this business trip, right after I checked in, I encountered a TV singing show's production crew departing. The hotel's internal management is excellent; even with several celebrities coming and going, order was maintained impeccably! A quick note: I'm not a celebrity chaser; I just happened to snap a photo. My true admiration is reserved for our brave servicemen and women! The front desk staff (pictured) were extremely professional, proactively communicating about my stay and even asking about my floor preference to ensure a comfortable room assignment. Highly impressed! 👍 The hotel's surroundings boast attractions such as the Changsha Museum, Changsha Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, and Changsha Concert Hall. Moreover, the Xiangjiang River Greenway is right outside the hotel, offering fantastic riverside jogging opportunities. Definitely a highly recommended hotel!
Not recommend for the price I paid. When we arrived at 3pm, CS told me the room wasn't ready, while it mentioned that check in time is from 11am onwards.
There was only one hanger holder in the bathroom to hand towel, no where to put any changed clothes.
This hotel located in a commercial building together with another hotel, so was little challenging to find.
Overall with the price I paid for a three persons room, not worth it. Location is good as it's quite close to 五一廣場
Very nice stay, no photos taken. First of all, the hygiene is very good. I didn't find any missed cleaning corners. The equipment is relatively new and has a little smell, but the air purifier is also very considerate. The disposable supplies provided are also very useful. The toothbrush is very soft, which surprised me. The room is also very big. In addition, the service is good. Fruits, snacks, black sesame cakes and hawthorns are placed in the room in the evening. They are not cheap snacks. There are 4 bottles of free water every day. There are also free water, cola and other drinks in the small refrigerator. There is also free tea. There is an automatic coffee machine for breakfast, which is very friendly to me who drinks American food. Fresh milk is also provided. In addition, my husband said that the noodles are very delicious, even better than those sold outside. There is also a gym with very new equipment. It’s a good place to exercise after eating. Finally, the location is very good. I originally wanted to find a cost-effective hotel near the subway station. This one is newly renovated and is right next to the subway station. The price is not expensive during the holidays. Other subway entrances are smaller and more expensive. I didn’t do any planning before coming here, but it turned out that this place is close to Sifangping Night Market, a 5-minute walk away. I ate thirty square meters on the first day.

The hotel is located near Exit 4 of the Peiyuanqian Metro Station, very conveniently located near May Day Square. This is my third stay here, and I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Changsha.

GGuest UserThis hotel is remodeled from an apartment house. The boss is still very enthusiastic. The service is relatively in place. The low score is because the equipment and facilities are seriously aging. It can be seen from the picture that some old phenomena are 3, because the environment is compared to the previous hotel. Well, it is more rudimentary. It is a residential apartment that has been changed to a hotel. Relatively speaking, the modification is not very in place, and the logo of the hotel is not particularly obvious. It took a long time to find it. Overall, the hotel price is not very high. It is not high in that location. I live in this room. Because the side is generally quiet.
