Two living areas, four bedrooms, updated kitchen, outdoor grill, hot tub and 3.5 bathrooms - enough space for everyone! Get away for a long weekend or week! In the winter come enjoy the snow! The shuttle will pick you up right at the end of the driveway and bring you to the base of the mountain and back home when you're done skiing or drive up the road and drop your family off at the covered bridge for instant skiing. If you don't feel like driving, you can also walk a path to the base lodge/gondola which is only about .5 miles (but uphill so we wouldn't recommend this option in ski boots :) but perfect for a non-skier to get to the base lodge without driving and parking). Enjoy the hot tub after a long day of skiing right off the front deck offering beautiful views of the mountain!**Please note there are 4 night minimums for Christmas break and Presidents Day weekend. Thank you!!In the spring and summer the beautiful Stratton golf course is less than a mile down the road to golf 9 or 18. Or plan an afternoon of kayaking or paddle boarding at any of the close by ponds or reservoirs: Stratton Snow Making pond - less than 10 minutes away and easy on and off for your paddle board or kayak.Grout Pond - about 20 min drive on the other side of Stratton mountain but so beautiful and clean. You can also fish here.Lowell Lake in Londonderry - 20 min and a beautiful location for kayaking and paddle boarding. It also has a 3.5 mile hike around the lake, picnicking, boating and fishing.Townshend Lake - 20 minutes and perfect for picnics and outdoor recreation. The lake includes flush toilets, drinking water, playgrounds, volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, a swim beach and hiking trails available throughout the park. This lake is also stocked once a year with rainbow trout.Also keep a look out for fun events held by Stratton, like the tough mudder in early June or plan a day of mountain biking with some friends! You can also hike the mountain starting from our driveway - head right up the road and onto the mountain via the covered bridge or walk up and start from the base. If you want to hike beyond the lakes and mountain try the Appalachian trail for the best hiking and fall foliage Southern Vermont has to offer.Manchester is also less than 30 minutes away and has tons of shopping and dining. The house itself is located at the end of a quiet dirt road, which is maintained by the town for snow. We recommend four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles during the winter months for easiest access in snowy conditions. The house is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and recently updated with brand-new stainless-steel appliances. The coffee station is equipped with a Nespresso machine and complimentary coffee pods, as well as French press and electric kettle for all coffee & tea lovers. The open living area has a large wood burning fireplace, Smart TV, and highspeed WIFI. Working from home? There is a dedicated workspace in the second-floor loft, as well as an additional workspace in the lower bedroom.There are five bedrooms in the home – The spacious primary bedroom is located on the second floor and has a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. The first floor has two queen bedrooms with a shared hall bathroom, and the lower level has one queen bedroom as well a bunkroom and shared bath. Other amenities provided include Aveda bath products, washer & dyer, luggage racks in all bedrooms, and fully stocked firewood. Spend some time outside while you visit! The property has a spa tucked amongst the trees as well as outdoor seating and a chimenea on the large wrap around porch, perfect for enjoying outdoor nights all year round. We also have a large grill available for our guests to make the most of their stay. For additional fun, there is a game room on the lower level with a pool table, ping pong, and shuffleboard table, as well as board games and puzzles available. In the winter months the driveway will be plowed and cleared by a local plow service. Arrival times for the plow service can vary greatly dependent on the size of the snow storm. We ask that guests check the weather forecasts and factor this into their travel plans. Please also note, the house does not have AC but we provide standing fans in the bedrooms to insure a comfortable stay during the summer.
