A light and airy space with all day sun. Two decks allow easy chilling with a cuppa or a glass of wine; one has a view to Oneroa Bay the other one to the back garden (hammock in shed provided). Separate bedroom, own bathroom and kitchen. Smart TV available but surely not necessary with all there is to do on Waiheke :-) The photos are not our best work but hopefully work in progress. We are a kilometer from the main village Oneroa, 2km from the ferry and the closest sandy beach, Little Oneroa, with dairy and takeaways 500m. Stunning views out to Great Barrier and Coromandel. Perfect couples or solo retreat, back to nature.Complimentary use of kayak and Standup paddle board, available for you to explore the bay or coast. BBQ with a view. Relax with a coffee, and enjoy the views from the new, comfortable queen bed. Sit at the breakfast bar inside and watch what's going on in the bay. Dine outdoors on the deck, after BBQing your meal, or drive 10 -15 minutes to award winning wineries, restaurants and cafes. The kitchenette also includes a single induction cooktop with saucepan, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and microwave.Rinse off in the gas heated, outdoor shower, whilst enjoying the view. We use a eco composting toilet system which is new, clean and fresh for each stay. The toilet is 4 metres from the main cabin, out from the back door. The cabin is about an 80 metre walk up from the bottom of the section where you can park. So you will need to be able to walk up the hill, it's not very steep, and affords you the great views while being only a minute or two from the waters edge.McKenzie Reserve is our local, regenerating bush walking track. Many other coastal and forest day walks are nearby. We are also on the Te Ara Hura national walking track. Enclosure bay is a well kept secret, one of the quieter Northern coast beaches, just a minute or two from the cabin. Enjoy a swim, snorkel or kayak, you might get to meet our resident octopus if you're lucky. Waiheke is home to numerous vineyards, a local brewery, Saturday arts and crafts market, with many culinary delights to discover. Sandy bay is a few more minutes walk away, just along the road. Palm Beach is a larger, more populated beach, about a ten minute drive away, or 30 minute walk. Palm beach shop can provide you with icecream and restaurant Arcadia available for some lunch and evening meals.It's only a 10-15 minute drive to gorgeous wineries with restaurants such as award wining Casita Miro. Mudbrick, Cable Bay. The Heke is Waiheke's own boutique brewery. Another highly rated restaurant, 372, you'll find at Onetangi Beach, 12 minutes drive away. The stars look better from Waiheke. Walk from the beach up to the local donkey park or visit the numerous wineries for wine tasting or a meal in their peaceful courtyard setting. You can take the walkway along the beach and enjoy the many nearby reserves with their facilities. Snells Beach has great cafes and village shops to enjoy along with our local friendly pub The Salty Dog Inn.We are in a very convenient and special location close to Snells Beach Town Centre, Warkworth Town, and charming Matakana Village with specialty shops, weekend farmers market, cafes, and the numerous wineries throughout the area. We have two well insulated units which can accommodate 4 adults each. We also have a fully equipped kitchen and two showers / toilets beside each unit. The units face the paddock and the valley and provide a tranquil setting to sit back and relax. The unit is set up on a mini farm with a couple of donkeys and sheep in the paddocks.
