Hotels in Cebu Downtown, Cebu

The hotel is located close to all the major historical and cultural sights (cathedrals, museums, casas, port - it'll take you 20 minutes maximum to get anywhere you want on foot). There are two 7-Eleven shops and a couple of malls with huge supermarkets nearby. The hotel offers breakfast as advertised, but also lunch and dinner. I didn't book it during my stay, though, because the variety wasn't particularly striking to my taste. The room is OK: quite spacious and not too dark. The cleaning service functions daily. They don't offer any water or toothbrushes/toothpaste. The AC is pretty old and loud, but it is often the case in cities other than Manila (judging from my experience). Personally, I didn't have any problems during my stay there.

Stay was honestly good. Service was good. Like a proper 5 star hotel. There are pools on both levels 4 and 5. Staff was helpful and professional. Spotted a roach in the bedroom but didn't see it anymore. So no issues.

The front desk staff were very professional and friendly. The room was clean, and the housekeeping service was excellent, as they updated all the consumables. The breakfast was very rich and varied. This hotel exceeded my expectations.

Always the best hotel to stay when you want to be near the port..just a few steps away from SM..The buffet breakfast added comfort to our stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Amber Hotel - Cebu while exploring the town proper has to offer. The hotel was centrally located, making it easy to walk to local attractions, markets, or restaurants in Cebu City. The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the tropical heat. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist with directions or recommendations. While the hotel doesn't have extensive leisure, the comfortable rooms and convenient location more than made up for it. The breakfast was satisfactory, though perhaps a bit limited in its Western options. Overall, a great base for experiencing the local charm of Cebu City.

I love the place. I’m just not happy with the pool. It’s a little small mainly for children also no steam room or sauna but I love the place aside from that. They have smart TV. Located right beside SM City Mall with a side stairs that closed at 12am. There is Starbucks there also ! The shower water taste ok unlike another resort I stayed which is salty. Hotel in the middle of everything like mall / clubs / restaurants. Recommend it. Cons: called for room service at 10pm but take a long time to pick up. Also take some time to send up the stuffs we requested for. Also the toilet flush is very weak so I wouldn’t recommend you to throw any tissue in. Oh ya and there is a 7-11 nearby maybe 5-6 mins walk but I think it’s abit scammy. Only can paid by cash and also 1 night when I only have limited cash while the staff scanned the items. He told me I cannot remove the item or else he have to pay with his own pocket money ??? And told us to withdraw money. So we withdraw and paid and I even confirmed with the hotel staff, they told me the cashier can just remove the item in the system and do not need to use their own pocket money to cover.

Nice stay, room was clean though they are strict with check in time we were there 12 PM early check in is not possible so we wait and then try again and asked at 2:55 PM, the lady at the front desk is not that friendly and told us the room is still not ready and will call us once ready. 3:10 PM still no update so I asked again another front desk personnel, this time it was a guy who gave me the key card. The room was ready all along but no initiative from them to update us.

The hotel rooms are clean and tidy.. I totally recommend it. However, the pool area is slippery and no signage was found. My brother had a mishap good thing a nurse was available. The duty manager offered us for a late check out because we were still going to the hospital. No lifeguard present maybe because the pools aren't too deep.. Still, i'll choose this hotel again..
