Hotel was at a good location perfect for planning tours and close to the waterfront and many places around the staff were friendly and accomodating breakfast was amazing loved the variety of food room was okay I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers. The hotel was out of this world.The staff were friendly and extremely helpful .The hotel’s cleanliness was breathtaking .My room was nice and spacious The hotel bar has an outside are where you can chill and have a cocktail .The hotel also has a restaurant,you don’t have to order in or go out to eat because the food was very good .I cannot wait to be back and experience the pool area

Breakfast is quite good, although I feel like breakfast every day after staying for 4 days. The surrounding environment is very good, right in the center of the city. Every day there is a weather reminder for the next day. It should belong to Samsung four-star level in China. The front desk and the people at the hotel were very nice and very patient.

SSaraGreat location for the airport and the free shuttle is perfect. The hotel is very comfortable and has everything for a great overnight stay. My only gripe is the staff all.standing around in groups chatting loudly at breakfast and having to wait 20 minutes for change in the restaurant in the evening.

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.

The location of the hotel provides a unique perspective of Cape Town, and I found myself captivated by the cityscape.
The staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside are truly exceptional. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The level of service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. The staff members were not only efficient but also went out of their way to ensure that every need was met. Their genuine friendliness added a personal touch to the overall experience.
One of the standout features for me was the secure parking facilities. Knowing that my vehicle was safely parked on the premises provided an added sense of comfort during my stay. It's evident that the hotel takes security seriously, contributing to the overall feeling of safety and peace of mind.
Now, let's talk about the breakfast – it was nothing short of amazing. The variety of options available was impressive, catering to a range of tastes and dietary preferences. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the presentation added a touch of sophistication. It's safe to say that the breakfast alone is reason enough to consider this hotel for your stay in Cape Town.
As for the room, it was nothing short of stellar. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings created a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were also noteworthy, reflecting the hotel's commitment to providing a high standard of accommodation.
In conclusion, my experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside exceeded my expectations. The combination of breathtaking views, excellent staff, secure parking, and an amazing breakfast made for a memorable stay. Whether you're visiting Cape Town for business or leisure, I highly recommend considering this hotel for a truly enjoyable and comfortable experience.

GGuest UserGreat location and very clean. Only downside is that you either need to have a personal or rented car, or an uber to get from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. There is no safe or convenient way to walk to the hotel from the airport like majority of well known airports.

FFGTRTDThe location is good. Not too far from a Woolworths grocery store and a coffee shop. The coffee shop opens really early which is essential when loadshedding hits and you can't make coffee in the hotel. The coffee was inconsistently replenished so again, being near a Bootleggers coffee was necessary. The hotel doesn't have a generator so when there is load shedding, you will be affected. If you are going to arrive early, you won't be able to check in early as there was no one who could help us at the front desk until 3pm which is standard check in time. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant so we weren't too inconvenienced but if your flight is much earlier in the day, do be aware of this. Otherwise, not a bad stay and I would consider staying again.
