Just okay :/ The staff was great and very friendly. However, the hotel quality did not match up with the standard we have seen at other Shangri - La Hotels. The paint on our door was badly peeling and the padded benches in our room were stained. Two of the outlets in our room did not have power. We ordered room service the first night and the rice that was sent was hard a a rock and stuck together. The location was great and the potential is there but this hotel is in need of some upkeep and a standards check. For any other hotel this would not be as big of a concern, but for the price and expectation of a Shangri- La Hotel, we were expecting a bit more.

The room was clean and quiet. It also had a nice view where you could see the sea and the rainforest.Service was good , and it was easy to call a taxi ,you just need to press a taxi bottom in the lobby and taxi would come to the hotel within 5 to 15 minutes .This was really cool!

Crystalbrook Bailey was my stopover hotel so I wasn't expecting anything flash etc however when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and modern this hotel is. Such a change to a lot of the older Cairns hotels. I felt like I was in a hotel in Melbourne! Check in was a breeze and staff were lovely, I was in my room in no time at all. There is alot of stunning modern artworks all throughout the building, very cool to find as you make your way to your floor. The room was beautiful and sufficient for a one nights stay, I could have easily stayed for longer! The location is great, in the city and close to the esplanade. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is a bit old, close to the cruise ship terminal, the room balcony faces the port, the waiter's attitude is very good, but you can't check in before the time, the other hotels are OK. Opposite the hotel is a ******, the central air conditioning cooling tower on the roof is very noisy, and the balcony door must be closed.

The hotel has a great environment and complete facilities. In addition to the swimming pool, there is also a spa and several restaurants and bars. The location is also good, right by the sea, a little far from the pier, but close to the night market and the city center. We booked a pool view room. After the hotel learned that we were on a honeymoon trip, they gave us a room on the top floor with both pool and sea views, and also gave us a honeymoon gift. The service attitude is really good. Although the breakfast is similar every day, it is delicious and worth the money.

The location of the hotel is very good and the environment is also very good. There is an entertainment city downstairs, which is very convenient.

We arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to check in straight away, the girl on reception was very friendly and explained where our room was as there are 2 towers . We were on the 10th floor with a city view. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved how they are helping with environmentally keys for your door which are just round bamboo disks and also having no plastic bottles in the fridges, just glass bottles. All tv programs were free so we’re able to watch new release movies and free wifi . We had booked a holiday package , so we also had free car parking and a $250 credit to use at any of their hotels . Would definitely stay here again .

We booked this three bedroom apartment for our one week stay; husband, wife, two teenage sons and our four year old daughter. We were lucky enough to get room 506 which is sandwiched between two permanent residents so it was lovely and quiet during our entire stay. Yes we partially faced the hotel next door but we also had esplanade and mountain views which was spectacular in the morning and at night. Coming from WA, a sunrise OVER the water was a novelty! The apartment was clean, the AC effective and the water pressure so strong it was almost violent. I say this in a good way though! As frequent traveller I get sick of poor water pressure but this was brilliant. Some people have mentioned bugs coming out at night- you’re in the tropics, so I’m not sure what they are expecting really. Make peace and move on. The cleaning staff were friendly and were happy to change our towels everyday (we were busy and the kids always dirty, loaded by chlorine, salty or otherwise needing a towel!) and we had more than enough TP or laundry detergent when needed. Our flight home was at 8.30pm on a Sunday and the front desk staff very kindly let us use a fob to enter the premises so we could store our luggage safely during the day after checkout and come in to use the ground floor showers, bathrooms and charge our phones in the interim. Thank you for hosting us Vision- it was wonderful all round.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apar**ent with family and there was plenty of space to move and enjoy. A really nice, clean, well thought out apar**ent. The master bedroom is huge, with a great spa-bath in the ensuite. The beds are comfy, the lounge room has a lot of space and the view from the verandah is fabulous. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk into town which we did along the promenade which was beautiful!
