Cairns City Sheridan Motel Reviews

Regular room. Nothing fancy, but not dirty or in bad shape as other reviews seem to have experienced. A pool is available too.

It's a good location but the only problem is the other room are too noisy we can hear the banging of the door always and it's hard to sleep sometimes.

Not a happy experience, room to close main road. The screen door needed to be deadlocked. Not explicitly explained. Subsequently, someone came in room during night stole handbag while sleeping. Unexceptabe. Partner wouldn't stay there next few nights, no refund. Also paid for with room spa, didn't have one.

Worst reception staff. Extremely rude and the rooms aren’t cleaned properly

The price point definitely made this family room a good value, especially considering its location near the city center. While the room itself could use some updates and the building showed its age, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The musty smell and a few maintenance issues were a bit of a drawback, but overall, it was a decent place to stay for a short trip

The rooms were outdated and dirty. The floors were greasy and the stairwell leading up to the rooms had rubbish on it.

When I checked in, there were ants in the kitchen and the lights in the room were broken. I informed the service desk and they said they would address it the next day. Unfortunately, the issues were not resolved by the time we checked out. It felt like we were living in a cave those days. There was a jacuzzi inside the property, but it was also not working. Overall, it was average and I would not want to go back.

My partner and I stayed here and paid just under $100 a night for five nights - fairly cheap for Cairns. We weren’t expecting a lot for that price, but we were disappointed. The lady who checked us in was nice but otherwise, this hotel was disgusting. There were old white goods trashed around the carpark and junk piled up in several of the undercover carparks. Black mould growth in the roof skylight and the outside of our room smelled of chlorine and bleach and inside our room had a smell of cigarettes. Rubbish was also left lying around the hotel. Our room had been cleaned but the floor was sticky and the door lock to our hotel was dodgy and the balcony door didn’t lock properly. The microwave had a baby cockroach in it and didn’t heat our food. We didn’t get shampoo or conditioner with our stay (though not expected for the price). The landry had a very old washing machine and no dryer. I would not recommend the Hotel Sheridan.

I stopped for one night only on my Road trip. Super clean and what you exempt from a Motel. Not noises and a nice private bathroom.

Really had a very good and enjoyable stay at Cairns City Sheridan Motel. Everything's walking distance from the Motel and the service was 10 from reception to cleaner's. They were all very helpful. Thank you, until next time🙏

The only thing that was ok is the location, not perfect but fine enough. For the rest, the reception is only open from 9am to 3pm so don't expect anything from them. The cleanliness is not good at all, lot of cockroaches, the floor was sticky, cup of coffee in the microwave and a bottle of milk in the fridge. There is a hole in the roof of the motel so instead of fix it they put like a beach umbrella to cover it but it doesn't prevent the mold and there is a lot. Finally Wi-Fi was working really bad.
