Parador de Cadiz

We spent three nights at the Parador de Cadiz. It is a well equipped and very modern parador. The pool area is wonderful with several pool options. We had a room with a sea view and balcony which does get very hot. For cooler options, choose a room on the other side of the building with a view over the gardens. The room was very comfortable with contemporary styling and some great lighting options. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, other than breakfast which was excellent and served in a lovely and spacious dining area with great views overlooking the sea. Drinks in the hotel bar are very reasonable priced. The location is slightly on the edge of town but it is only a 10-15 minute walk to the Mercado area and there are nice walks along the coast, and into gardens, immediately accessible from the hotel. We would definitely return.

Very pretty hotel with amazing ocean view! We stayed here two nights only on our visit to southern Spain. I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is huge and we stayed on the 2nd floor with a swim up pool off the patio. The access to the pool and restaurant is on the second level so that was convenient. No elevator needed! But our room didn’t have a view. Just the back of the pool bar so we were disappointed. Our room was a nice size but a very strange layout. The shower is in the middle of the room with just glass walls around it. No privacy. So if someone comes In the door and your are in the shower they see Everything. I didn’t like that at all. Poor design. The toilet is in its own room though. Bed was large and comfy. Came with a small bar fridge and coffee maker. The pool area is spectacular. Lots of lounge chairs and a full bar with service to your chairs. There are about 6 beds along the infinity pool that we were able to snag twice. It is So luxurious and an amazing view of the beach and ocean. Very clean! The restaurant beside the pol is open for breakfast and it was a buffet style - plentiful and lots of choices. The lobby is a bit of a walk from the rooms tho as it is a conference centre as well so there is lots of walking to get out to the street from your room. The roof top bar is amazing as well - great views! Loved this hotel!

Beautiful boutique hotel which has been renovated to a very high standard. Booked 2 junior suites for a few nights away and had a fab time. Let’s start with the positives. Good location, round the corner from a busy local plaza which was a delight night and day! Immaculate and clean, house keeping do a fabulous job. Front reception team so lovely and helpful and the interior is just beautiful and chic. A few things that let it down. Fresh pastries and welcome drinks obviously available but we were not offered one as we came in which would have been nice. I emailed the hotel as it was my mums birthday treat and didn’t get any response to my request for fruit in the room. The spa is extra which for the price of the hotel and the very limited spa facility makes this feel a little cheap. We thought breakfast was included so do a double check as we had a 180 euro bill at the end of our stay - it was a nice breakfast but we probably would have explored more if we knew. That said it was a fabulous stay and I would recommend and Cadiz was a fab place for a few days !
