3-Star Hotels in Budapest

This was our first time in Budapest and this hotel was the perfect location, just a block from St. Stephens Basilica and walking distance to everything. It was sparkling clean, had friendly staff and was everything we needed at an affordable price. We paid the extra small fee for the breakfast which was an easy way to start the day.

Located in Raday Utca, a stone's throw away from Kelvin tér, this hotel has the perfect location to explore Budapest's sights and food. Being close to Kalvin tér (square in English), the hotel is easily accessible while using city buses, the airport shuttle bus (100E), subway lines M3 and M4 and within a short walk is the Great Market Hall. The room and the bathroom were small & compact, even by European standards. Wardrobe/cupboard space was minscule, and even with all lights switched on, the room remained dim. The breakfast spread was ok, not much variation in menu from one day to th next. All of the staff members were helpful and cooperative.

Having read the reviews i was very apprehensive about our stay here, but we were pleasantly surprised. We checked in around 9pm, had a warm welcome and a quick check in. We had to put a code in to access the lift, then the key card to take us to room. All very secure. Our room was clean and warm. It had a fridge and a decent tv. Going out that night it was pouring with rain and the receptionist gave us his umbrella to borrow...total gent! Throughout our stay we were not disturbed or bothered by other guests. We felt happy and secure We checked out on the Monday, but had a few hours before heading to the airport. We were able to keep our luggage at the hotel free of charge in a locked luggage room. We had a great stay and would stay again. Its an old building like alot of others in Budapest, and there are some other flats and residents who stay in the building, but it was all very secure, the building is operated by motion lights, so it seems dark but the lights come on as you walk along. if you are looking for something 4 or 5 star this isnt you place, but a comfy bed, warm shower and great location for exploring!

the hotel was really good, room service everyday bringing clean towels and tidying up. quick and easy service and check in. location was not the best because its not that close to the main attractions, however a 20 minute walk to the city centre isn't that much. lovely stay!

Well, the picture that I uploaded will explain you everything. If you are thirsty for a beautiful night view, this boat hotel will make you moistened. Location was good and staffs were so kind but my room was a bit small and there’s slight noise due to windy but it was not a big issue for me. Try to stay on the boat in Budapest, I really enjoyed the night view. So good, i mean so so good. You’ve been sleeping in the buildings so far go and sleep in this boat hotel and have fun!

old & needs a major overhaul. hotel room smells like a dirty carpet. Hungary is scorching hot this summer and our room doesn’t have air conditioning! a small desk fan was provided but it doesn’t help with the humidity of the room. the lights are dim and needs replacement. the hotel entrance smells like urine. the only positive is its location and the cheap buffet breakfast. we are not hard to please and we book cheap hotel rooms for an overnight stay in a city, however with the price we paid here, i believe there are other hotels that are better. i do not recommend.

Stayed here in September 2024 for 3 nights as a group of 3 friends in a family room. We were on the 1st floor and found the room to be spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds were big with single duvets which suited us. Bathroom was clean, shower powerful and warm. The location is perfect. Breakfast was fine usual things we all found something to eat before a day out. WiFi was patchy but we were ok to go between that and data. We arrived late, someone was at reception ready to check us in. This was done quickly as was check out with friendly staff. Had drinks at the bar one night, it was quiet, good selection, comfy seating. Would recommend this hotel to all.

ROOMbach Hotel Budapest Center Budapest, Rumbach Sebestyén u. 14, 1075 Hotel Alan Shackel 132 points   4 hours ago We found this hotel to be a great 3* hotel. The location is perfect (2 mins walk from Deak Ferenc terminal where the 100E airport bus terminates and central to all of the major sights. Staff at the hotel are amazing! Nothing is too much trouble and when we had what was a minor fuse box problem in our room, it was resolved within 5mins and with no complaint or prompting from us, a bottle of bubbly was nonetheless delivered to our room as an apology for the inconvenience. What a great touch. Standard rooms are very small, but if you upgrade to a Superior Room, they are modern, spacious & comfortable with a large bed, a spacious lounge area and a nice bathroom. Breakfast is very good too. One criticism I have is the lack of in-room tea/coffee making facilities, which seems strange given rooms do have a fridge. However, reception arranged for a kettle in our room, so problem solved! Another criticism is the position of the TV, which is fine if you're watching on the sofa, but difficult to see from the bed. One final criticism is no drawer space at all.b Bedside cabinets have no drawers and clothes storage is open plan. However, there is free security safe for valuables. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend The Roombach and we would definitely stay here again.

Upon checking in, the reception asked if we would prefer: 1) rooms facing the street (thus with river view) but a bit louder because of the traffic OR 2) rooms not facing the street so it will be more quiet We decided to choose the first option and were very glad with our decision because of the breathtaking view. The room was located on the fifth floor and the soundproof was good! It is slightly further from the city centre (tourists area) but the public transport system is amazing and frequent. Free coffee at the lobby and buffet breakfast is also included. Highly recommended because best value for price!

Ibis is a well known brand and provides  a good 3 star (European standards) business hotel experience. I like that it's eco friendly with no single use items in the room (toiletries, slippers etc) . No kettle in the room and no complimentary water Bed was comfortable, wifi fast, shower powerful and heating worked well(much needed) . Breakfast was satisfactory with lots of gluten free options which was a nice touch. Fast check in & out, walking distance to major attractions.  Overall a very nice stay.
