Budapest District VIII-Jozsefvaros Hotels

My girlfriend and I spent a weekend there. The staff were kind and helpful, the location was convenient, and the room was clean and well-maintained. Excellent value for money!

I stayed for 4 nights. The hotel's location is great. It's right in front of the subway station, making it easy to go anywhere, and tram line 23's terminal is right next door, so you can conveniently visit Margaret Island. The Gellért Eastern station being right in front is also a plus. The reason I booked this place was to take a train to Croatia, and having the station nearby was excellent. I requested a room near the elevator when booking, but I was assigned the farthest room diagonally. My request for a change was denied, which made my whole trip inconvenient. It felt like walking from the elevator to my room was farther than walking from the hotel to the subway station. When I asked to store my luggage briefly after check-out because I still had time before my train, I was just told there were lockers over there. It turned out they were paid, and so expensive that I couldn't use them. Generally, the staff felt unfriendly. The food was decent, and the bread was tasty, but the menu was exactly the same for all 4 days, which felt a bit repetitive. Still, I always ate well and heartily, and the restaurant staff were all diligent and efficient. The cleanliness was an issue; the coffee pot and other utensils were covered in dust. I wasn't planning on using them for hygiene reasons anyway, but the dust on the table looked very dirty. There was also a lot of dust on the chairs and floor. Room cleaning is free upon request, so I requested it every day when I went out. On the second day, I left 10 euros on the table and asked for the sheets to be changed and the floor to be thoroughly cleaned, and they did a good job. They do a good job if you ask them to. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay. I had a good rest for 4 nights and 5 days in Budapest!!

This hotel offers an excellent overall experience. The facilities are brand new, and the environment is clean and comfortable, providing a very relaxing and reassuring atmosphere. The staff's service attitude is also excellent; they are always warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. Whether for a business trip or a vacation, this is a highly recommended choice.

Basic, but absolutely fine. Room was clean, bed super comfy. Good location, a nice walk to the old town or right by the metro and trams. Great value, no issue staying here again at all.

As expected from a renovated hotel, it was incredibly clean, neat, cool, and excellent in terms of hygiene. I booked it for one night because it's close to the train station. Although I felt a bit nervous walking around due to the noticeable number of homeless people nearby, its advantages outweigh the cons for the price. The supermarket is close by, and New York Cafe is right around the corner, making it the perfect location if you're planning an early morning visit to beat jet lag. (I went there after searching on Google for open cafes nearby without any prior information, and it turned out to be a hot spot!)

Extremely satisfied! Not only is the hotel beautiful, but the service is also excellent. For a stay in Budapest, this hotel offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely book here again next time I visit, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Overall, my stay was excellent. The hotel's public areas were elegant and spotless, and the room size and facilities were very satisfying. I especially want to commend the front desk staff for their patient and friendly service. I arrived around 9 AM, well before the standard check-in time, and the front desk thoughtfully allowed me to check in early, which was a huge bonus. Registering as an Accor member was required for check-in, and the whole process took a bit longer than expected, leading to a longer wait time. Most of my stay was great, but the only minor issue was discovering a leaky shower drain on the last night. Other than that, I had no complaints and would definitely recommend this hotel.

My recent stay at Bristol Budapest Hotel was an excellent experience from start to finish; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. I arrived at around 02:00, and despite the late hour, check-in was completely seamless. The staff were clearly expecting me; this made the whole process quick and effortless; exactly what you want after a long journey. The room itself was immaculately clean and very well presented. I appreciated the small touches; like the fridge stocked with a bottle of water, which can be replenished simply by taking it down to reception. The bed was very comfortable, with soft, high-quality linen that made for a great night’s sleep. There was also a good tea and coffee setup in the room; a welcome addition. Even though my room faced the street, I slept with the window open and wasn’t disturbed by noise at all; something that really stood out. The bathroom was spacious enough, with plenty of clean towels and some lovely complimentary toiletries. At one point I needed an iron and ironing board; reception provided both immediately without any fuss; which summed up the efficiency of the service throughout my stay. Breakfast was a real highlight. I had seen some mixed reviews beforehand, but I genuinely don’t understand why. The selection was extensive; covering both continental and hot options. Everything was beautifully presented, tasted great, and was constantly replenished and well maintained. It was easily one of the best parts of my stay. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every single person I encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming; always with a smile. That level of hospitality made a big difference. Overall, this is a solid and reliable option for anyone visiting Budapest; I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We stayed at Impulso Hotel, Budapest with our family for three nights. While the lobby and breakfast area were clean, the room soundproofing was extremely poor. Noise from the corridor could clearly be heard day and night, seriously affecting our sleep. We were even woken up in shock at midnight by an argument outside our room. Unfortunately, this greatly impacted our overall experience and comfort during the stay.
