FFM32The hotel is located within the Biwako Resort area and requires a vehicle. It's a guesthouse, and the staff were very friendly. Since I stayed in a detached house, there was plenty of free parking outside, which was very convenient. The room was very clean and had a private onsen (hot spring bath).

TtorislimThe first time I lived in the orthodox squatter house, I was pleasantly surprised. The house is very distinctive. The sister of the hotel will not communicate with the translator because of the text but has been communicating with the translator. The breakfast is delicious. Everyone must order breakfast in advance. There is also a vinyl dish machine in the living room. It is very nostalgic and sentimental. Otsu is really a very quiet town, and on the last day of 2024 I spent a very peaceful day here.

DdebraecamilleThe location is very quiet and calm. For those who want a break from the main cities this place is highly recommended. The hotel picked us up from the nearby station and the communication was very active and accommodating (I emailed them when we were in Kyoto station in advanced and once we reached the local station, their shuttle was already waiting for us 🥹). Biwako Valley is near so it was our only planned big activity in the area aside from walking along the quiet road and trying convenience store food and using the 24 hour laundry place nearby.
The food is very healthy and you will experience traditional Japanese service (they prepared colorful Yukatas for us and we wore them for bfast and dinner in their restaurant) . The private onsen was great and you can also use the public bath in the hotel itself. I cannot list everything but our experience here was truly amazing!

彷彷徨う旅人Being a Toyoko Inn, there's nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The rooms are clean and the service is also excellent.
The only downside is the location.
It's a bit far from both JR Otsu Station and Keihan Biwako-Hamaotsu Station, so it might be a bit difficult if you have luggage or during hot or cold seasons.
Also, there are no convenience stores nearby, so you might find it inconvenient if you forget to buy something.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located near Lake Biwa, offering absolutely stunning views. Inside, there are two large public bath areas for both men and women, each featuring both an outdoor and an indoor bath. Private onsens are also available for guests to rent. The breakfast buffet offers a fantastic variety of dishes, and the taste is excellent. The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy, and there's a large Lawson convenience store right inside, which is incredibly convenient for guests. They also provide a thoughtful complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the JR station. This hotel offers great value for money and is definitely highly recommended.

GGuest UserI like it very much. It is not worse than Yuyuanguan, and the price is good. The chef's cooking skills are very high. The decoration is a bit old-fashioned, and it feels like a Japanese drama. The hot spring robe is better than Yuyuanguan. The dinner is invincible and delicious! Wagyu! Mushroom rice! Sukiyaki! I ate so much! But the breakfast is not very delicious. The pickled cucumber tastes the same as in China. I thought I couldn't eat it far away from Shanghai. In the end, it tasted like the pickled cucumber and pickled radish at home. But it's very photogenic! There are all kinds of colors, but the taste is killed by the xiaolongbao, wontons and pancakes in my hometown Shanghai. The hot spring in Yuyuanguan is very comfortable! There is just an old lady who keeps coming in to clean the hot spring in the morning! I was scared and didn't care about the front and the back. It was so embarrassing!

MMandymkmanThe hotel owner is very warm and friendly. The room is very clean. Looking at the Wuhu breakfast, there is another flavor. The hotel bathroom has a heated bathtub. Very advanced experience. I highly recommend everyone to go! 😍
