Hotels with Breakfast in Obihiro

I used a five-day pass for my trip to Shiretoko Five Lakes, Abashiri, and Kushiro-Obihiro in Hokkaido. Obihiro is just over a two-hour drive from Sapporo, offering easy access to Kushiro Marsh and convenient transportation to Sapporo and Noboribetsu. The convenience of a single-person stay was the key reason I chose Obihiro. One minor complaint was the mixed-gender bunk beds on the first floor, and the lack of signage for the restrooms and showers was a major drawback. Breakfast was served in the lobby downstairs, and there were very affordable izakayas nearby. Jr. Obihiro Station is about a 700-meter walk away, and there's a bus to Koufuku Station right in front of the station. I love the Japanese countryside; every spot offers unique scenery and delicious food.

The welcome drink included alcohol and soft drinks that you could customize, which was nice. There was a wide variety of amenities. If you check in late, you can't choose your pillow, but you can choose the height and hardness. The location is good, but there is no convenience store nearby. The automatic check-out is easy and convenient. The elevator is narrow, so it can be cramped if there are many people in the elevator.

A fantastic comfortable stay near the train and bus station in Obihiro. It is self check in and check out but there was always multiple staff to answer any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There is a laundry service or machines to do laundry yourself. Loads of restaurants nearby including the well known Yatai street. They do get busy so book if you are able to. Drinking water, ice and vending machines available at the hotel. The pillows were abit flat for my liking but that’s the only thin. Highly recommend.

breakfast was super nice! onigiri buffet! room was clean and comfy for the two of us. there is youtube on tv so we were entertained. parking was convenient as well at 600yen

I stayed overnight in Obihiro on my way back from a trip to Shihoro. There's a moor hot spring, and I warmed up in it twice. The breakfast buffet had a great view and was delicious! I'm glad I stayed here. The hotel arranged for my suitcase to be sent by courier, and I took the morning bus back to New Chitose Airport. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

First of all, the hotel is quite small and includes the lobby, the restaurant and the room itself. But more importantly, many things do not make sense. There is only one elevator in use (there is another one in the corner which is not in use), as a result, causing chaos in the rush hour. The public bath is so-called a natural hot springs but that is quite common in that area, it is open to the public so many local people use it. Upon the small restaurant, they also put a lot of unnecessary stuff to make the situation worse, e.g. they put an old engine (those you see in the museum), and the dinner table is just right next to it. In terms of service, the front desk people have very limited English ability but I notice that one of the female staff in the restaurant can speak fluently (she remind me to take out a cup of coffee in English). Honestly, it doesn't make sense.....

Hotel Nupka is a lovely hotel situated right in the center of town. The rooms are spacious compared to others in Japan, and they are very clean and comfortable. One notable feature is that it is a bike-friendly hotel; there are hangers available for you to store your bike. I will definitely come back next time if I'm on a bike trip!

It was just from the station, but it was quiet because it was just one street. The second floor is a shared space from the afternoon and you can have coffee. The staff 々 was kind and short but comfortable.

It was very clean and comfortable. It's a bit of a walk from the station, so it might be a bit difficult to get to if you have large luggage. The amenities were adequate, and although the facilities were a bit old, I had no complaints. Breakfast was free and very delicious.
