The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming. They seemed to recognize I was Chinese and traveling alone as a woman, so they specially arranged for a Chinese-speaking female staff member to greet me and help with my luggage to the room. The hotel's location is also very convenient, just about a ten-minute walk from Tunjungan Plaza, the largest shopping center. The hotel also offers a scheduled shuttle service. The facilities and dining options at the hotel were also excellent!

The staff members at Sheraton Surabaya were so warm and attentive. They learned my name by the second day of breakfast and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel is connected to the mall, making it easy access to meals and necessities. Would return back whenever I come back to Surabaya.

You can always count on Amaris hotels! Even though it's a budget hotel, the cleanliness, comfortable beds, staff and front desk service, location, parking, you name it... everything was excellent. My mom and aunt all loved it. The rooms were clean, and the bathrooms were spotless. No regrets choosing Amaris in Surabaya! Even the breakfast was quite varied and delicious. I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. Good job Amaris, keep up the good work!

It’s a decent hotel located in center of Surabaya near to Tunjungan Plaza and Jalan Tunjungan. The room is very standard to everything one person need for few nights stay… nothing fancy. I was assigned room with amazing view from 6th floor. The room is clean and neat and I love that they have smart TV. Wifi is pretty fast and reliable too. One thing for improvement is foul smell on the hallway. I think it’s due to the aging building. However, staffs clean the hallway carpet regularly. I would surely return to this hotel if I go back to Surabaya.

Exceeded expectations! For such an affordable price, I felt like I received 5-star service. Breakfast was included and quite satisfying, and the welcome drink was really refreshing after a long trip. I dropped my luggage before check-in, and it was super convenient, I even got early check-in, which allowed me to explore the city right away and save both time and money. After check-out, I also left my luggage at the hotel and enjoyed a nearby café before my departure. So helpful! The facilities were excellent: power outlets conveniently placed for charging, fresh towels and linens replaced daily, complimentary bottled water, and reliable hot water for showers. There’s also a dispenser for hot and cold water refills. The view from my room was a bonus, I could see Tunjungan Plaza right from the window. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Surabaya. Absolutely loved my stay at Amaris Hotel Embong Malang Surabaya. Definitely staying here again!

Quite clean and fragrant. Unfortunately, the placement of the window is not right, because it goes through to the next corridor, so it is not soundproof. You can hear people walking, or you can clearly see the housekeeping activities on duty. A little disturbing. Just a suggestion, if you make a smoking room, rearrange the placement of the window properly, so that guests also feel safe and comfortable. The condition of the window is also damaged, the sliding cannot be closed properly. Need to rejuvenate the color of the room paint, the bathroom floor and shower are leaking. The AC is not cold enough and looks worn out. Amenities are also incomplete. Only 1 toothbrush, 2 towels, soap and shampoo in one, only 1 slipper

Very old hotel. Room dark and has the smell of oldness. first thing i saw when entering room is a lizard. Carpets has stains and burn marks (looks like electric iron). Not a single soul spotted the whole night. bath room cracks observed around the bathtub. Toilet bowl emits a strange manure smell when flushed. Will not be staying there again.
