Great location, clean and quiet rooms.
Had a room with a small terrace, and there is also a terrace on the roof (7th floor) with sunbeds

We arrived just as the hotel was subject to a power cut. The young guy receptionist took us to the room as our door keys would not work due to the electricity outage. The electricity came back on in reception about 5 minutes later but someone had to go room to room to reset each rooms supply. Some 2 hours later after having sat in the dark unable to unpack and several tracks to reception and being told we were priority we gave up and went out to dinner in the clothes we travelled in after a 4 hour 30 minutes flight. Other hotels were affected in the same street apparently.
Once this issue was sorted by the time we got back from dinner everything was great. Lovely breakfast, lovely room with Molton Brown shower gel, shampoo and hand soap and lotion. Lovely pool and no issue getting sun beds. Short walk to the beach and dunes but a lot of steps up and down. Also 10 minute walk to Yumbo shopping centre which had everything you needed from great shops to excellent restaurants and bars. Great place for LGBTQ to meet up and great place to people watch.
Definitely recommend

Yesterday, I just arrived at the time and I couldn’t decide whether to book this for three days. I originally decided to bring the baby before leaving or to come by myself. Because it takes four hours to fly in Geneva, I am afraid that he will not be able to make it on the plane. [Laughing R] [laughing R]j hotel half bag, Just say that you have to pay for breakfast and have a late lunch. [Like R] Thank you for upgrading my room and allowing me to have a small swimming pool with my own slap. This hotel has two large pools and a children's pool, the hotel is not very green and looks very clean. Three restaurants, buffet, Spanish restaurant and a Fusion restaurant. The buffet is not booked, the other two have to be booked in advance but it is also free. The back door of the hotel can be directly connected to the sea by brushing the room card, or you can go to the seaside. They are restaurants, bars and shops. You can imagine how lively it will be during the peak season. And this street is so long that you can walk 40 ➕ minutes while walking, eating and drinking all the way. The roadside is a five-star hotel. You can see the swimming pool and restaurant of other hotels. You are ready to change to a hotel next time. [Laughing R] c The food is not bad, it is still very cost-effective compared to Switzerland, and the taste is good, I am satisfied [Laughing R] The front desk will give a map when checking-in, It’s quite convenient to want to go to traffic. [Come on R]z Overall, it’s not bad. It’s recommended [okR]

Guest UserSanta Catalina Hotel is undeniably a historic architectural landmark, but as a hotel experience it fell well below expectations. On arrival, the service felt cold and somewhat pretentious rather than welcoming, with concierge staff coming across as detached and pompous rather than genuinely hospitable.
A key reason for choosing the hotel was the prominently advertised rooftop pool and views, only to discover after check-in that access is restricted to suite guests. The spa is similarly limited unless you pay €15 per person for 90 minutes, which feels disproportionate given the modest facilities. These restrictions are not clearly communicated at booking and leave a sense of being misled.
Several of the lounge and communal areas were also frequently reserved for corporate events and seminars, which further diminished the sense of a relaxed hotel environment. As a guest, it often felt as though you were secondary to business groups and functions moving through the space, even in more personal hotel moments such as walking through common areas in a robe.
In-room entertainment is very dated, with a non–smart TV offering only basic local and satellite channels. Room service carries a €5 delivery surcharge, while on-site dining is largely limited to high-end fine dining with little casual alternative.
It is also worth noting that Las Palmas sits under a noticeably less favourable microclimate than the south and west of Gran Canaria. During our stay, conditions were consistently cloudy, windy, and cool, which further limited the enjoyment of the hotel’s already restricted amenities. For those seeking reliable sun and beach weather, the southern or western parts of the island are a better choice.
Overall, despite its striking heritage setting, the combination of underwhelming service, restricted access to advertised facilities, dated in-room amenities, corporate use of guest spaces, and disappointing weather made for a stay that did not feel justified by the price and is not somewhere we would return to. The atmosphere and clientele also skew noticeably toward an older demographic.

The good part is people are very nice and.friendly, super helpful. Service is good as well. Location is perfect, touristic, but not too crowdy.
However, hotel facility is not well maintained. Our doors in the room can barely be closed, bathroom is pretty dirty, i can see mold in the corner, the structure of the room is weird, at night, u need to close all doors in the room to avoid lights in the hallway ourside of the room, breakfast is just soso, have all the basics, but not tasty. boiled eggs are even cold. We didnt use the swimming pool, cannot comment on that.

Super good! Exceeding expectations! Going out is the sea, and the balcony of the room is also facing the sea. Some additional travel activities in the hotel are also very good. Going out to see whales, hiking activities, etc. are very nice! I hope I have a chance to come again in the future!

Very suitable for parent-child vacation, the hotel has arranged a lot of programs from morning to night. The design details of the hotel are super beautiful and ubiquitous, perfect African style. There are 9 swimming pools, you can definitely find the place you want to lie down and relax. There is a long row of shopping festivals and small restaurants at the entrance of the hotel. The Tujiu restaurant is the most authentic and delicious. The Chinese boss behind the scenes is super enthusiastic about us every time we eat After sending a large glass of wine, take a 7-minute taxi ride from the center of the dunes

The “Pool View Suite” had no view of the Pool. No way are they of 4 Star Standard either. Lots of Cracked tiles and very shoddy and aged..
Food was very good and plentiful.. The staff extremely friendly, but at €300 a night, we felt very cheated with everything about Room 812 that was deemed a “Pool View and Garden View Suite”!! Besides zero view of the Pool, it was of very aged decor and in urgent need of modernisation.. Not to
mention the Gardeners making noise with machinery from around 4am In the morning..
Would not return

Everything was fantastic!
Except for the room door, it opened poorly; the card didn't make good contact, and it was difficult to open.
The full breakfast buffet had everything and was delicious.
I would come back again!
