A guesthouse is not just a simple space; it's more about embodying a lifestyle, cultural creativity, and the aesthetics of life… At Auntie's house, I experienced the simple and honest culture of the local people and the long history of tea cultivation. It was a truly memorable trip. On our first day, it was drizzling. Auntie explained that winter in the tea mountains is the dry season, and it hadn't rained for a month. This was the first spring rain, and we witnessed a sea of clouds slowly rising from the mountains. That evening, we drank Pu'er tea made by Auntie and received a souvenir containing ancient tree Pu'er tea she had made. The tea trees here are very old, mostly over a hundred years old, covered in moss and parasitic plants. Tea pickers have to climb these ancient, tall trees to harvest the fresh buds and leaves. I'm very grateful to Auntie for such a precious gift. After having a local breakfast of rice noodles, we spent the morning in the ancient tea garden. At an altitude of 1800 meters, the mornings were cool and the sun was pleasant. The animals here are very free; chickens, pigs, cows, and dogs roamed the tea plantations with us, creating a harmonious atmosphere. I strolled around the village; it was very primitive and rustic. In the afternoon, I saw an incredibly healing sunset. The experience here was completely different from the guesthouses in the city. I was hosted by the auntie herself, and her family was very kind and warm. There were no waiters, and even the animals were free and content. It felt like being isolated from the world, perfect for city dwellers like us to relax. It was truly a very relaxing experience and trip.

It was truly an outstanding experience. Mr. Xu ended up driving us around for our entire stay - from tea stores to local Dai village, till sending us to the train station. We tasted amazing teas, tried local foods, made tea cakes, went to see ancient tea tree with him; he even invited us to dinner with his friends. Breakfast is amazing with view of clouds; the restaurant in the hotel has really good food. Fruit plate every afternoon; tea tasting with Jiangjiang, a Laobanzhang tea expert. We leaned so much about puer tea and tasted some of the best puer teas in the region. One of the most unforgettable stay ever for us and we are so grateful!

I brought my mother to Xishuangbanna to play, from Jinghong to Nannuo Mountain.
It took a long time to choose a homestay. I did a detailed study of various homestays in Nannuo Mountain on Ctrip, and finally chose Nannuo Mountain Tea Garden Homestay. After checking in, I was extremely satisfied with the environment, hardware, and especially the software of this homestay. My choice was completely correct, which shows that sincere guest reviews are trustworthy. We originally planned to stay for one day, and we were very satisfied with the experience and stayed for another day. If the flight home had not been booked, we would have stayed here to have a good time in Nannuo Mountain.
Nannuo Mountain Tea Garden Homestay is very new, the room is very large, larger than some of the surrounding inns, and there is a balcony where you can sit on a leisure chair and look at the distant mountains and clouds in a daze. Banshan Jianglu Hotel is just below the Tea Garden Homestay, and it is far inferior to the Tea Garden Homestay in terms of cost performance alone. It is very convenient to park in front of the Tea Garden Homestay, and it is very convenient to drive here. There is a platform on the roof. If the sea of clouds appears, it is an excellent viewing platform. The homestay has two tea rooms where you can drink tea, chat, watch the scenery, and enjoy the years in the mountains.
Hardware is only secondary. The real trump card of Nannuoshan B&B is the two Hani couples who run it. The young couple is very nice and treats guests like family. The food cooked by the proprietress is very delicious. You don't have to worry about eating when you stay here. This is a key link in running a B&B. Nannuoshan Tea House B&B is far better than some of the surrounding inns in terms of eating. I understand that some B&Bs in the surrounding area have to solve the problem of eating outside by themselves. No matter how much you say, it is better to experience it yourself, and no matter how much you hear, you can see it with your own eyes. The Japanese have a saying called ”Ichigo Ichie”, which means that many people may only meet once in our lifetime. I sincerely thank the good people I met, and the young couple of Tea House B&B are such people. Staying here makes my mother and I very satisfied and happy. By the way, her tea is very delicious, and you must taste it carefully.

The room is very good, in the villa area, the price is very high.
There is a private soup, the weather cools down, and the speed of the private soup on the night of the stay cannot keep up with the speed of the water cool.
The room is very large, the photos are all real shots, there are heating equipment, and the humidifier failure in the middle of the night has been broadcast voice a little affecting sleep.
In Bohai County, but there is nothing to eat and drink around. I went to a famous Bohai barbecue. The taste of Pu'er's restaurant is still a little worse, but the transit transition to Banna last night was very pleasant.

I stayed 3 nights and would love to have stayed more! I came for the tea and could not be happier with my experience. I learned a ton about how pu’er tea is made and graded and marketed and sold. My hosts were super-nice - they treated me like family. Special thanks to Abu, whose singing is nothing short of angelic. When she sang during my check-in I was amazed but worried that locals were expected to sing for guests. But a highlight of my stay - of my entire trip to China - was listening to her sing when she was working around the guesthouse and thought no one was listening. A quick piece of advice for new guests: get out and explore the local village/market/mountain. There’s so much to see here, and your hosts are proud of their community and culture and will help you appreciate it.

STRONG ADVOCATES! Stunning experience with a Bulang family. We stayed in the quaint guesthouse in the standalone suite with two double bed rooms and a sweet balcony and tea table. The design is soothing and surrounding nature is a welcomed change for city dwellers. That said, one has to be ready for this proximity to nature (mosquito repellent and ear plugs for early rooster crows).
It was the perfect start to our exploration in Yunnan as the host and her brother’s family took us under their wing to show us the tea plantation, roasting, and how to appreciate the local teas. This truly was a most beautiful experience of the warmest hospitality and such vivid insights about the community and stories of development that has been experienced. We learnt so much about the tea varieties and traditions here, giving us anthropological insights and inspiring stories of resilience and growth. The village is well sized for walking around to the tea plantation, temple, cultural museum, and sunset lookout. Do give yourself a couple of days here at least.

Tangtang2530The B&B is located at the Xingguang Night Market by the Liusha River. The design style of the room and all the items and furniture in the room show the owner's care. There are two other suggestions. Suggestion 1: Install a TV in the room, because the guests staying here are not necessarily young guests who play with mobile phones, but may be elderly people who are used to watching TV. 2. It will be very hot in the summer, so it is recommended to equip it with a small refrigerator. Everything else is great~ The front desk guy and the sanitation waiter are very warm and polite, and will greet politely. There are no watermarks on the hardware in the bathroom, and the hygiene is very good. If I have the opportunity to come to Menghai again, I will give priority to staying here.

The hotel is located in Shitoulaozhai, Gelanghe Township, Menghai County, near the Nannuo Mountain Bama Village Office. Situated on a mountain, the environment is indeed beautiful; you can see the clouds and mist in the morning and the sunset in the evening. There aren't many guests at the moment, and the hotel is managed by a young, attractive woman. The hotel is quite clean; there's no air conditioning, but there are electric blankets and electric heaters, which are sufficient for heating needs. The temperature is low on the mountain, and it can get quite cold sitting for a long time, but you'll still sweat when you walk around.

The hotel is by the river, very quiet, the room is very clean, the space is large, because it is late, the room has no balcony, the toilet glass is transparent, it is embarrassing. Although the breakfast is simple, it is enough to eat. The rice noodles are good. The front desk and the boss are very good and patient. The price is good during the Spring Festival 👍 children sleep well. In addition, some small snacks were prepared in the room, and the children were very happy.

The boss is very good, sing to the guests to help, and explain the culture of the ethnic minorities in Yunnan. The sister who helped is the Yi nationality. The boss is enthusiastic to show the way to the tea king tree path, saving a kilometer of distance. When there are few people, you may still eat the barbecue grilled by the boss himself. Hahahaha, a very happy homestay experience!
