Every object in this 250-year-old house is about 50 years old, and bugs fly out of every cabinet door 🤢 Suitable for Halloween lovers... The only bright spot is that the family heir, Ms. Louise, is very enthusiastic and takes the unfrightened families to feed calves, wild boars and several horses in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay at Leisure Inn Penny Royal Hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring Tasmania. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to assist. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Cataract Gorge and close to the Launceston CBD, making it convenient to visit local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We also loved the unique historic charm of the property and the beautiful surroundings. (Leisure Inn Penny Royal) Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again. Information about checking in was sent to us via email a day before were were due. Staircase was narrow, so was quite difficult to bring large luggage up. Room looks wonderful and tastefully done. We had the suite, and as such, has an adjoining bedroom as well. The balcony was nice for a sit down to relax. Breakfast provided at the ground floor dining room as simple but sufficient for us. Bread toast, cereals, juicies, tea & coffee. We stayed 2 nights, The location is not far from Launceston main CBD. The neighbourhood was quiet at night, so was quite peacefull. Street parking in front of it is available, but parking charges takes effect from 9am, but did not impact us much as we are out.

The hotel staffs were welcoming, friendly and parking was also included in our stay. As we are a family of 5 pax, the hotel has provided two rooms which are interconnected. This makes it convenient for us as a family to connect. The rooms were clean and tidy with great showers. Breakfast was included in our stay with a great selection of ala carte breakfast, with good selection of beverages and coffee. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very clean, but it is not close to the high-speed bus station. The seaside port center is not recommended if it is public transportation. Because Launceston Podo and don't have a room on the first floor, it is a semi-underground. It is an upgraded deluxe room, but half of the intersection. Underground. Recommended to take a taxi to Grand Canyon Park. Summer is very beautiful.

Country Club Tasmania is quite old-fashioned and older than me! But it has an impressive entrance and excellent service. Although the breakfast coffee is from an espresso machine, the beans are high quality – two cups weren't enough. The overall environment is lovely. You can even ask the front desk for food to feed the ducks. Kangaroos appear in the evening, though I didn't see any during the day. The entire resort was under renovation, so many areas were closed off. The gym was almost empty in the evening, but the casino was bustling. There were some issues, though, like the outdated room facilities. The showerhead spray was not concentrated, making showering less comfortable. Overall, if you can choose a new hotel, don't pick an old one. The biggest advantage is the free parking!!
