"Disappointing Experience Despite Renovation Claims
The actual room did not match the images shown online. Although the hotel claims to be recently renovated, the decor still felt dated.
We checked into Room 2009, but the air conditioning was malfunctioning. While the front desk promptly sent engineers to fix it, there was no improvement even after an hour. I called again to follow up and was told that engineers would return, but they never did.
Eventually, I requested a room change. The hotline staff mentioned that the duty manager’s approval was needed and that we would receive a call back. After waiting for 30 minutes without any update, we decided to head out for dinner. When we stopped by the reception at 8 PM to follow up, we were told the duty manager was still on break. We waited until 8:15 PM with no update and called again—only then were we told they were still trying to find us a room. Our request was finally confirmed after another 10 minutes, and we appreciated the upgrade to Room 1413, which had two queen beds.
Unfortunately, the new room had a clogged bathtub drain, which required another visit from the engineers before we could finally rest for the night.
What could have been better:
I understand the initial attempt to fix the aircon, but a room change should have been offered when it was clear the issue wasn't resolved. The only reason we got a new room was because we kept following up.
The staff’s reaction time throughout our stay was disappointing. Timelier communication and a more proactive approach would have made a significant difference."
