"I stayed here in 2017 and it was fabulous. I booked again for May this year but British Airways cancelled my flight. Fortunately the good people at trip.com were able to change my booking to 30 September at no additional cost. Unfortunately, British Airways have let me down again and cancelled this second flight. The restrictions around COVID wil make it impossible for me to go to Madeira this year, even if BA were flying there, which I think they are not. I have no option but to ask for a full refund of the hotel fee, but reading the reviews of trip.com I see some really good ones and some really bad ones. Let's hope I get lucky. Next year I certainly wish to return to this great hotel, when things have returned to normal. Here's hoping trip.com can help."
