Crazy place, very friendly staff, until you really ask something, then they have trouble following you. Even though they do their best. Although quite a bit is left behind that the staff does not clean up, while there are hardly any guests during my stay.
The portions from the kitchen are immensely large. Bizarrely exaggerated. In response to why it has to be so much, they apparently cannot cook in smaller portions. Incomprehensible. The Pinot Grigio is tasty, but quite expensive. Plus the staff does not understand how to serve wine, although this is a general 'problem' within the Philippines. Price-quality: big ass no-no.
Otherwise a fantastic stay.

It was a resort I had high expectations for, but the expectations were too high, so the facilities were old and the cleanliness was disappointing. On the terrace of the adjacent room, smoking, drinking, and talking all night long, I had to bear it. If you smoke a cigarette next to you, all the smoke enters the room. The staff are friendly. There is not much to eat for breakfast. The restaurant dinner menu was pretty good.

We had such a great time staying at The Strands! We stayed here in 2012. The staff made sure we had almost everything we needed. Very friendly staff! Although, I wish there was a mirror on the sink area. Otherwise, our stay was absolutely perfect!

We just spent 10 nights at The Strand Boutique Hotel in Boracay with our 2 young children. What a wonderful place to stay! We felt so looked after. Beautiful location of station 1 - a 1 minute walk to the Silica sands of white beach, walking through the friendly neighbourhood. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite which was so comfortable and newly renovated- it was perfect for my husband and I, our 2 and 5 year olds and my mum. So spacious and beautiful. The restaurant - we looked forward to visiting the restaurant every day, so relaxing and the staff were so wonderful! Chef Ton was amazing preparing the freshest flavourful food! Once he realised I loved eating the local food there was a new Filipino soup each morning- amazing! Nothing was too much! Our children adored all the staff and the staff were so thrilled to see them all the time. We had just the most magical holiday - we don’t like the mega touristy aspect of Boracay at station 2 and 3 and this sheltered us from that circus! We love coming to Boracay island so much and there’s so much peace and beauty to be found! Thank you so much to everyone at The Strand. Outstanding!!!

What a great place to stay! We spent 3 nights there and loved the tropical appearance, large modern rooms, the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of all staff, the meals, the tranquil location of the pool, the proximity to a lovely beach and their attention to detail in all things. We wanted an e-trike to go somewhere? Within a moment the security guard had one there for us. We were off to the beach? Just a moment- here are some beach towels (at other places we had to ask for them). Highly recommended. (Rates are great, too!)

IF YOU WANT THE BEAUTY AND ATMOSPHERE OF WHITE BEACH BUT ALSO WANT TO RELAX IN STUNNING TRANQUIL SURROUNDINGS MORE LIKE BALI THEN THE STRAND IS PERFECT FOR YOU,WHITE BEACH IS JUST A 2 MINUTE STROLL AWAY. THE STAFF ARE THE MOST CHARMING AND ENGAGING I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN THE PHILLIPINES AND WERE SO MUCH FUN TO BE AROUND. ACCOMMODATION IS SPACIOUS WITH HUGE TERRACE, THE MENU IS AWESOME WITH A CHOICE OF FREE COOKED BREAKFASTS ON OFFER SERVED WITH FRESH SOUP TO START AND FRESH FRUIT AND COFFEE, AMAZING SHAKES AND COCKTAILS WERE TO DIE FOR. AN AMAZING PLACE TO STAY TRULY FELT LIKE WE WERE SO WELCOME AND CANT WAIT TO RETURN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.AND A BIG THANK YOU TO THE CHEF WHO ALWAYS MANAGED TO SUPERB DISHES EVERY DAY. Nestled in the laid back part of Boracay, The Strand is the perfect escape for beach-goers who wish to rest and destress from their usual busy grind. The compound, surrounded by luscious trees and greeneries, provides guests a relaxing vibe, enabling them to work and have fun at the same time. The room we got was very clean and spacious. It was super comfortable for sleeping and catching up on work assignments, since I internet is steady and super fast. The staff are courteous and always available, going out of their way to make your stay truly memorable. Food is yummy. I recommend their nasi goreng and seafood medley, which are made from fresh ingredients. Opening soon is a coffee nook, with a variety of caffeine selection and new “menu goodies”. Will come back definitely.
