Hotels in Bergen City Center, Bergen

Very convenient location next to train station so a short walk upon arriving at Bergen on our Norway in the nutshell tour. Breakfast included was great and good spread. Rooms are good size. Walking distance to main attractions. There is also a tram stop to airport nearby. Overall, good value and superb location for our stay in Bergen!

The location right next to the harbour in Bryggen is great. However I was disappointed with the service. On one day, our room didn't get serviced. No reason why. We had to go to reception to get coffees, soap etc. For a large chain, fairly expensive hotel, I would expect servicing of rooms to happen daily. I didn't find reception staff to be particularly friendly either. The hotel is large, corporate and a bit soulless. I prefer the smaller chain hotels that have a family feel to them. I probably wouldn't book here again.

The location is very convenient, there is a restaurant on the first floor. Go up the escalator directly to the lobby to check in. It is recommended to go early for breakfast because the location is small and it is not convenient to get things when there are many people.

The very sweet lady (Ms. Marha?) on the reception upgraded our room as well as gave awesome recommendations for nearby bars and clubs! The hotel itself was clean, and the breakfast spread was out of this world!

The hotel seems a little run down. I read through comments on here before booking and someone mentioned a hole in the tile in the bathroom and hotel management responded saying maintenance would be called. This comment was a couple of years ago and the hole is still there. I was in the annex building which is definitely more dilapidated. Maybe invest some of the money back into the hotel? Also the guests in the room next to mine were having a party but the staff shut it down after speaking with them. I’ve stayed in a about 12 hotels in the last five weeks traveling around Europe and this hotel is very close to the bottom of the list which is surprising as I expected more from the Norway leg of my journey. The staff were very friendly though, it’s just a shame the hotel management doesn’t utilize their profits for the benefit of the hotel and staff.

Simple style and clean. But I prefer to have a folded table and a chair. The room is a little bit small and the window cannot close. I have told the staff but no action has done. The single bed is also small. I prefer to change it to a sofa bed and can change to a semi-bed when necessary. Very nice breakfast. Good security. Staff are nice and helpful (except the window case). Enjoy have a bottle of beer in the hotel pub. Frankly to speak, the price is too expensive. It is the truth that Norway has high living rate but I really don't think a small room worth around US$250 per night. Prefer to have a small open space in the hotel for smoking.

Hotel is located in an excellent location, within a few minutes walking distance to the Byggen, the tourist info center. The Floibanen station with the tram train up to the Floyen view point is just 100 meters behind the hotel. The airport bus also stop near to the hotel. It is a bit far from the train station. There are many restaurants around the area and near to the Square. Room is quite large. Was allocated a roon with great view of the hills behind. Service was also very prompt and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

Check-in was hasslefree with the use of self-service counter. Breakfast spread was great. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Spacious toilet but didn't have any photo of it. Room was just like the photos they posted.

Transportation: You need to take a train to the airport. The whole journey takes about 50 minutes door to door. It takes about 6 minutes to walk from the hotel to the station. It is convenient for traveling, and the main attractions are within walking distance. Room: Standard double room with extra bed. The room is small. The hygiene is very good. Breakfast: Rich variety, including smoked salmon.

The feeling of an express hotel, the only thing worthy of praise is the view out of the window, excellent, sanitary, right next to the pier, transportation is very convenient.
