Hotels in Bergen City Center, Bergen

The very sweet lady (Ms. Marha?) on the reception upgraded our room as well as gave awesome recommendations for nearby bars and clubs! The hotel itself was clean, and the breakfast spread was out of this world!

Simple style and clean. But I prefer to have a folded table and a chair. The room is a little bit small and the window cannot close. I have told the staff but no action has done. The single bed is also small. I prefer to change it to a sofa bed and can change to a semi-bed when necessary. Very nice breakfast. Good security. Staff are nice and helpful (except the window case). Enjoy have a bottle of beer in the hotel pub. Frankly to speak, the price is too expensive. It is the truth that Norway has high living rate but I really don't think a small room worth around US$250 per night. Prefer to have a small open space in the hotel for smoking.

The hotel seems a little run down. I read through comments on here before booking and someone mentioned a hole in the tile in the bathroom and hotel management responded saying maintenance would be called. This comment was a couple of years ago and the hole is still there. I was in the annex building which is definitely more dilapidated. Maybe invest some of the money back into the hotel? Also the guests in the room next to mine were having a party but the staff shut it down after speaking with them. I’ve stayed in a about 12 hotels in the last five weeks traveling around Europe and this hotel is very close to the bottom of the list which is surprising as I expected more from the Norway leg of my journey. The staff were very friendly though, it’s just a shame the hotel management doesn’t utilize their profits for the benefit of the hotel and staff.

It's about 10 minutes from the train station. The location is pretty good. It's in the city center and close to the cable car. There is a flybus at the door of the hotel, which can go directly to the airport. It's very convenient. It costs 169 Norwegian kroner per person. In this way, you don't have to drag your suitcase to the train station. After all, it's all cobblestone roads, which are very troublesome to walk.

The breakfast is very rich in variety. The room is not big but clean. The only nitpick is the water pressure. It is hot and cold every time. I personally don't like it very much, but if you think about Finnish saunas at that time, maybe It was a good experience, but there was also a bit of a noise problem. I personally don’t recommend staying on Fridays and Saturdays, because there is a bar underneath the hotel, and there were many people gathering at 1 and 2 in the morning to party, which affected my sleep. Fortunately, I only had one night on a Friday. , it is also very quiet at other times, overall it is good

Very convenient location next to train station so a short walk upon arriving at Bergen on our Norway in the nutshell tour. Breakfast included was great and good spread. Rooms are good size. Walking distance to main attractions. There is also a tram stop to airport nearby. Overall, good value and superb location for our stay in Bergen!

It's about a 3-minute walk from the last stop of the tram from the airport. Central Station is also nearby, so it was extremely convenient for the price. However, I requested an outside room, and it was simply a noisy room facing the road. There were no blackout curtains, and the windows seemed to have gaps in them, so even with the windows closed, voices from outside could come in, so I had to wear earplugs. I thought that if you're not on a high floor, an inside room would be better. The breakfast had avocado and a wide variety, so I enjoyed it all three days without getting bored. There were only two towels as amenities, so if you're coming from Japan, I recommend bringing a lot with you! There was shampoo and body soap.

Transportation: You need to take a train to the airport. The whole journey takes about 50 minutes door to door. It takes about 6 minutes to walk from the hotel to the station. It is convenient for traveling, and the main attractions are within walking distance. Room: Standard double room with extra bed. The room is small. The hygiene is very good. Breakfast: Rich variety, including smoked salmon.

Hotel is located in an excellent location, within a few minutes walking distance to the Byggen, the tourist info center. The Floibanen station with the tram train up to the Floyen view point is just 100 meters behind the hotel. The airport bus also stop near to the hotel. It is a bit far from the train station. There are many restaurants around the area and near to the Square. Room is quite large. Was allocated a roon with great view of the hills behind. Service was also very prompt and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

The location is very good, the breakfast is superb, and you can eat all kinds of salmon and cheese. Less than one kilometer from all major attractions. The facilities are relatively old, which is equivalent to the level of domestic economic hotels. The front desk is very warm and the Europeans are always friendly. Still very recommended.
