"There was an overwhelming musty smell, most likely from being by the seaside. The suites were underwhelming. The suites parking lot is tiny, from the entrance to the inside. There are no elevators to the suites, so they’re all stairs for those that pack a lot. Lots of things flying around, mosquitos I think? Let’s just say pest control isn’t really managed well. Suites are also father back, so there barely a view of the beachside from the balcony with the front building covering it up. Bathrooms have low water pressure, so be careful to not clog up the toilet. The little kitchen in the suites were nice, since they don’t provide breakfast. We walked to the nearest grocery store, Vons, and grabbed some bacon and eggs. Amenities were pretty nice. The sheets really smelled like an old man. The pool and jacuzzi was a nice experience after a vigorous fun day at the beach. If you wanna go to the other beaches, or snorkeling/ kayaking, you might wanna rethink this location. This hotel is 7 min away from La Jolla Shores by car, but not a walking distance by foot. Renting the Bird scooters are also not an option, since they don’t allow you to end your ride anywhere in La Jolla Shores. The time just keeps ticking and your money just keeps going down the drain. The way there is also packed with cars, so riding an electric scooter in the bike lane is also super dangerous. If you want to enjoy a beach day, might as well just book near the beaches on La Jolla Shores. There are absolutely no rentals for snorkeling or kayaking on La Jolla Cove side. "
