Great Location in Xentro Mall with shops and restaurants opposite the busstop to/from Manila.

The room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will surely recommend you to our friends.

Don't live here for now, it's too new, artificial formaldehyde is emitted, but the decoration outside is indeed the best in a few kilometers... I'll live here at least a year later, but I think that place is so remote that not many tourists come.

Outstanding
AAnonymous UserThe place was incredible! The food was amazing, and there were so many fun things to do. Just a heads up, there aren’t any private bathrooms, but the one they have is huge and clean.
GGuest UserI was in CaSoBe with my family in February 2024. It has been a great holiday! The sea view from our cabin, the beach sunsets and the big swimming pools were a hit.
The personnel of the resort were really friendly and always ready to answer our needs and questions.
In particular, I would like to mention Mr. Alexis, who accompanied us in some trips around the area. He has been so kind and friendly with us and our kids and showed us all the best spots to visit, allowing us to experience the real Filipino life and tastes. A special thanks also to Marcus, from the resort management, who contributed to make our holiday memorable.
We highly recommend Calatagan South Beach resort for any visitor who likes to find a clean, friendly and relaxing environment for his holiday. We hope to be able to go back sometime!

GGuest Userthe room i giot was not as i expected to be nice and clean..i made request prior to my booking but not granted..seaview casitas room i got was covered with trees and branches so where is the seaview!? internet or wifi is very poor..breakfast was not ok either. the beach doesnt have any chairs or tables nor umbrella or tent and no lifeguard to watch over. over all its just ok..
GGuest UserThis was an amazing trip! I haven't had a chance to write a review but here it goes.
1. The staff - Super amazing and friendly, always smiling and helpful.
2. The managers - great, caring, funny and always went above and beyond to help and accommodate.
3. Resort - Amazing ocean view and lots of activities, we went back 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Lol
4. Room - clean and comfortable!
5. Food and drinks - delicious and amazing! One of the best in the Philippines.
I've been to many hotels and resorts worldwide, but this has been the top of all of my stays. The vibe, the friendliness, activities, food and drinks. I've never felt so relaxed and I didn't even need to use my phone. No stress and all good vibes! Waking up to see the ocean with a nice cup of coffee with smooth music, it makes the hours of drive (almost 4 hours one way) to there well worth it.
In my opinion, this was more than a stay, this was an unforgettable experience! We have been through the regular days and also the typhoon days, they have been amazing and helpful the whole time! It was definitely an adventure! Now I'm back in Florida again and I miss this place, but I'm planning a visit the Philippines next year and I will make this my top place to visit!
KkeithstoryIt was wonderful experience in Altamare, even though the location is isolated from the city, it is worth to stay here.
I have tried most food while we are staying here, and all of them are taste good and hygiene.
Outside pool is clean and beautiful, you can see the sunset every evening.
If you join the scuba diving, you will see many beautiful corals and small and big fish, even turtle (if you are in a right timing)
Doing Snorkeling is also recommended.
Satffs are very kind and friendly.
But the wifi signal in the room was poor.
AAbe_1025Best resort in Matabungkay, hands down! We received a free upgrade from the hotel with a fantastic view. The location, which is right on the beach, is fantastic. The staff is excellent and the resort is kept up beautifully, really well maintained. During our three days and two nights there, we noticed that the surroundings were clear of leaves and dirt, the pool was kept clean, and the water was changed on a daily basis. The room is large and attractive, with a modern theme mixed with elements of traditional home. Additionally, there are common areas where you can socialize and play with other visitors. The employees provide the best service and are courteous and professional! During our vacation, we truly enjoyed ourselves and unwinded. By the way, their breakfast is the finest! One of my favorite vacations
AAnonymous UserCanyon woods is one of the most underrated hotels in Tagaytay. Imagine, you can get a clean room, Camp John Hay vibes for only P2500 with free breakfast and access to warm indoor pool and jacuzzi! Definitely an enjoyable experience! Will come back again.
BBenchLouieThe villa that we stayed in is very peaceful and quite. However, the restaurant has limited selection. They don't have TV or intercom, you would need to use your mobile to call the receptionist. There is no sauna as advertised. The resort focuses on hosting event and markets the instagrammable place. But need to improve recreational activities like spa, sauna, massage and food options (more indonesian inspired food)
JJESSICAFood options are very limited. Di pa masarap yung buffet nila for lunch and dinner. The rooms are seemingly old, we got 3 king rooms, the other one had issue sa lock, other one naman didn't have bidet walang provided na bucket and dipper until we requested. Internet only worked day 1. Rest of the days we stayed (3 days 2 nights) wala na. We paid for 3 adults each room yet when we requested for replenishments ng toiletries and bottled water, they insisted na 2 lang kasama per room and may additional na fee if we request another 1 set. There's also a bed on the window side alloted if more than 2 pax will stay in the room, but it didnt even have any pillows or blanket. Need mo pa irequest. The cottages lack bulb installations so during the night agawan sa cottage na may ilaw. What's so hard to put a 3 watts bulb to make use of all the cottages. There was also 1 time we were at the bar for some drinks (this was around 9:45-10pm) I had to use the restroom and as I was heading in side the ladiew room, this lady hotel staff told she's already cleaned the ladies room hence I can just use the men's room anyway there's no one there and its not cleaned yet. I didnt want to argue so i called my husband instead to watch the door for me as i use the men's room. Not a very good customer service. Overall stay was manageable but definitely noy superb.
