MMona KhI had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House! The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to the White House and many of the city’s major attractions. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was especially cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a busy day exploring the city. The complimentary Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the business center was a great touch for any work-related tasks. What I loved most was the convenience of having a restaurant on-site, serving delicious meals in a cozy setting. The breakfast options were varied and tasty, giving me a good start to my day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Washington, D.C. It’s the perfect balance of comfort, location, and value. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip

GGuest UserMixed feelings. The hotel is well located, with Washington Union Station nearby. The rooms are average; they’re clean, but a bit outdated and musty. The reception staff looked tired and unbothered. The hotel seems to operate only under daily timings; I was not able to get cleaning later on the day. The safe was not working and I had to wait until the next day for someone to come check it, same case for broken light in the bathroom. The fitness is well equipped. The hotel was not able to accommodate my request to cancel the last night, even though I was moving to another Hilton. Not necessarily the kind of service you’d expect from them. Amenities were available upon request, there’s a mini fridge in the room. There was no kettle available. Overall, for the price, you can get better in Washington DC.

GGuest UserI booked a superior queen room, but they gave me very small one. The room is so tiny that I won't be able to open my luggage if i had one. Fortunately we only had carry on luggage. The window is very tiny cutting corner of the room making it a narrow gap between the bed and the window. The corner of the bed hurt my leg a few times when I passed in and out . There are full of dirty marks on the small table. To my surprise, when checking in, the receptionist told me I have to pay US$32 extra for the facilities. I didn't understand what she meant. Then she gave me a card to read. And said it's on their website. This is a rip off. I never knew I would have to pay extra US$32. . Such a thing had never happened to me before.

GGuest UserThe room was compact and small, but the cleanliness was good. There was plenty of convenient public space. The design style was modern, and the location was decent, about a 20-minute walk from Union Station and 35 minutes from attractions like the Parliament Buildings. A major drawback was the absence of cups for water, drinking water, and tooth-brushing. The room was also quite cold, with the heating only going up to 24 degrees Celsius, and the duvet was too thin. I asked the front desk for a heater, but it was still cold, so I ended up sleeping in a thick tracksuit all three nights. Additionally, the shower stall had no handrails, making it unfriendly for older guests. All controls being on an iPad was also inconvenient.

GGuest UserThe hotel is not your typical dimension but it was clean and the mattress + pillows are one of the best I have slept on. The location was good as it was close to Metro, White House, Lincoln memorial, and Georgetown (walking around 20 mins). There is also a Metro station close by. However, it’s far away from the convention center though, you will need to take a taxi or Uber to get there. The one suggestion I have is to provide kettle for hot water in the room as well as bottle waters. Most of the reception reps are very helpful and cheerful, only the grave yard shift reception lady is not in a good mood (I know it’s grave yard shift…but). The elevator needs some improvement as well since it’s very slow… (I’m not sure it’s because of the elevator manufacturer or because of the old building).

SStefan StoevAs a Hilton Honors member I trust the Hilton Quality standards worldwide and never had so far a disappointing experience until now. The Washington Hilton is well located and the overall facility is nice. But the level of cleanness on the floors is below average, and for the very first time I see the housekeeping just putting fresh towels in the room and a plastic bag with coffee supplies, without doing literally anything. This is simply not acceptable and doesn't correspond the Hilton standards. Also the room service is a Fastfood delivery in plastic bags and paper boxes. Again, I haven't seen such a thing in any other Hilton. On top of it, they charge obligatory $25,- per day for hotel consumption, regardless if used or not. Overall a very disappointing experience. The front desk staff and the Concierge were very friendly and professional, therefore the upgrade of the service stars.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel during the Christmas holiday, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is excellent — very close to the White House, with plenty of restaurants nearby. What I really appreciated was the daily cleaning service, which was always done thoroughly. The restaurant on the first floor was also impressive, with food and service comparable to a fine-dining restaurant. Everything about this hotel was perfect the location, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. If I visit Washington again, I will definitely stay here again.

AAnonymous UserThe TV had no signal, and after trying various methods, I gave up. The room door needed to be closed gently to avoid making a loud noise. The toilet flushing was mediocre, and the amenities seemed cheaply made. Most importantly, the room was filled with a pungent, overpowering smell of newly renovated furniture; it was very irritating and made my throat very sore. I suggest the hotel remove the smell (I'm not sure if it's formaldehyde). This is the first time I've experienced such a throat irritation in a new hotel.

GGuest UserThe decoration looks like an old-fashioned hotel, so the facilities are a little bit worse. But the room is big enough, the health is good, there is a coffee machine, and the customer service staff are also very polite. It takes about ten minutes to get to the station.

GGuest UserDisappointed in first room which had odd layout and faces alley so I requested better room and they quickly accommodated but would’ve preferred they gave me better room to begin with since I think most people don’t like odd layout with view facing alley. Otherwise, room/bathroom was clean, tv had good selection of channels, and location was perfect where we were just minutes walk from White House and national mall and many good restaurants. Note that I used SpotHero app and found cheaper parking than what hotel offered. Not all garages allow unlimited in and out so make sure to check for this before booking.
