"This was my first trip to Washington, D.C. Because I snore quite loudly and didn't want to disturb other guests, I opted for a capsule-style room instead of a typical hostel. Although the space wasn't large, the amenities were excellent, and the privacy was great, making me feel very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive, and they even offered a breakfast discount for guests – a very thoughtful touch. The hotel was conveniently located next to a subway and bus station. Whether you're traveling independently or staying for a short vacation, I highly recommend this accommodation – convenient and comfortable!"

"Terrible check in process. The apartment was fine but there was no indication on the booking that check in was not standard. This is part of another company’s building and I had to call a landline number on data roaming and wait 25mins for someone to come and tell me that I could not check in yet and I had to repeat the same process 2 hours later. It cost me over $54 in roaming charges to communicate with the check in process."

"It is good to be close to the subway! (about 2 minutes walk)
It is an apartment type that is jointly with residents. I think it is good for long-term residents because everything you need for life is available.
The person in charge is stationed at the reception, so it is good to be able to keep your luggage as well as a normal hotel.
The receptionist, Micky, was a bright person, remembered his name immediately and called him by name when he entered and exited. It felt like I came to America."

Great
GGuest UserThe bedding and environment of this hotel are all very good. The most criticized thing is that some of the charges are not clear, and it is easy to overspend and overpay. For example, breakfast is provided, but in fact each room is controlled at 80 US dollars, and the excess is paid by yourself. Because it is a à la carte meal, the price on the menu does not include tax, and guests will not consider these things in advance. When calculating the amount, they usually exceed the amount because of not considering the tax. There is also a 30 US dollar mini bar and bar, which is simply mandatory consumption. Because of these two items, guests feel very bad, and feel that the hotel or the dealer is not authentic. I hope to explain this in detail in the reservation instructions.
GGuest UserI booked a superior queen room, but they gave me very small one. The room is so tiny that I won't be able to open my luggage if i had one. Fortunately we only had carry on luggage. The window is very tiny cutting corner of the room making it a narrow gap between the bed and the window. The corner of the bed hurt my leg a few times when I passed in and out . There are full of dirty marks on the small table. To my surprise, when checking in, the receptionist told me I have to pay US$32 extra for the facilities. I didn't understand what she meant. Then she gave me a card to read. And said it's on their website. This is a rip off. I never knew I would have to pay extra US$32. . Such a thing had never happened to me before.

JJust a TravelerThe hotel is in a good location, with lots of nice restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and clean, and all the staff were friendly.
The only complaint was that they couldn’t provide a king-size bed for us, even though we paid and booked online. They explained that they had run out of king-bed rooms, so they gave us a room with twin beds instead, along with some breakfast vouchers to make up for the inconvenience.
Compared with other hotels in the area, the parking is more expensive. It costs $83 per day. Considering the high parking fee, I would probably choose a five-star hotel instead. At this price, there are more hotel options with better overall value and parking rates.

GGuest UserThe core area of Washington is very convenient to enter and exit. There are many restaurants and cafes around. Business and tourism are good. Every time I come here, I live here. Apartment style, suitable for many people. The living room is large. The jet lag does not affect others.

Very Good
GGuest UserBy far the worst JW Marriott 'experience' I've had.
The elevator system was terrible, often times waiting for 20-30 mins for the elevator, and when it arrives, it's already full, having to wait for other elevators. This elevator system need to be reprogrammed. The fitness center was close and there was no notice anywhere that it was closed. I called the fitness center to ask if the fitness center has moved, the front desk responded I can go to the Westin Hotel fitness center, which was 1 mile away. One evening the fire system went off and we were told to evacuate the hotel, as we were walking down the stairs, they notified it was a false alarm.
The location is great, but I will not stay here again.
GGuest UserI stayed two nights on a business trip, and overall it was great. The front desk staff is warm and welcoming, and helped me with a few things throughout the stay. The lobby's nothing special - just a desk and a few steps to the elevator, and there's an underlying smell from the gas heat. The rooms themselves are great. Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, and I was given a room facing the back of the hotel so it was very quiet (I'll always choose quiet over view). There's a Welcome Hour every evening from 5-6 where you can get a glass of wine/beer or cocktail for free, which is a nice touch, and there are water refill (still or sparkling!) and ice stations on every floor. Overall, it was a great stay.

GGuest UserI liked hotel's location & cleanliness. Some nearby free 'on street' parking was available. Walls are a bit thin so conversations from neighboring units will be heard. Room was well equipped & larger than average. Only real issue was with electronic door locks. I paid for early check in but couldn't get in at designated time due to hotel-wide issue with doing locks. I got in relatively quickly but other guests were locked out for hours. Based on other reviews, there are a lot of issues with their door lock system. Regardless, I'd consider staying here again.
IIainThis was such a great discovery. Within easy walking distance of Union Station and Capitol Hill, I arrived after midnight, but the 24 hour concierge was on hand to welcome me, and quickly assist when I realised I was missing an email with door entry codes (resolved with one phone call to a 24/7 support line.) The suite itself was vast, light and airy, spotlessly clean and well equipped with mostly brand new cooking utensils, silverware, etc. All you could need from the kitchen, and a relaxing lounge area. The roof of the building boasts a pool large enough to do lengths, and the gym, shared with the Marriott Hotel next door was enormous, and well equipped with fully functioning equipment - rarely occupied by more that 6-8 others when I used it. Several local supermarkets are within 5 mins walk, and the receptionist was more than happy to let me leave my bag for the day after checkout and work from their relaxing lobby space.
KKyoka2302Very nice hostel! The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage! Very very clean, Definitely would come back for the stay!
However, would appreciate it if there was a hairdryer in the room or shampoo.. i didnt realised the shampoo needs to be brought on a poster inside the lift..
