We had a really lovely stay at Hotel Mary's House. It's a beautiful hotel, most welcoming, and well-placed for public transport, restaurants and shops. The neighbourhood is peaceful and has a lot of charm. The many personal touches around hotel really do add up to create an exceptional experience. The host Mr Buğra (hope I've got that right after his very patient and informative explanation of Turkish spelling and pronunciation) was lovely and eager to share local information with us. Each day the delicious breakfast was beautifully served. The perfect place to stay if visiting Selçuk and Ephesus.

We stayed for four nights in this small town of Selcuk. This hotel has a good location, it is walking distance to Selcuk Otogar, local bus stop, saturday market and Selcuk Muzeum. Isabey Camii and Basilica of St John are within walking distance from this hotel. The famous Ephesus Archaeological Site is just 5 minutes drive using a local bus. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable with clean bedsheets. Two bottles of mineral water are provided daily. A good breakfast is provided including boiled egg, cheese, steamed potato, bread, fruit juice, tea, etc. The environment is quiet and peaceful, it is enjoyable to stay here.

First of all, Selçuk is a really small place, so it's not far to get to the hotel from anywhere. It took me about 15 minutes to walk from the bus station, but be careful! Take the main road; the navigation will recommend the country lanes, which can be scary at night without lights. Secondly, I arrived close to 9 pm, and the owner was very kind, waiting for me at the door. The breakfast the next day was great for Chinese travelers because it included scrambled eggs with tomatoes—very delicious! Finally, I went to Ephesus and checked out early.
