MMICHEL PICARDThat was a very nice stay. Rooms are very nice with their own style. The people were prompt to answer to our needs. I strongly recommend this hotel. Two little suggestions. One, you should have small refrigerator in the room. Second, you should keep some beers and soft drinks fresh for people who doesn't enjoy temperature one in the hot season.
i would like to apologize for the little concern with my girlfriend, she got a bit upset, but she shouldn't considering all the effort you made to correct the very little problem

GGuest UserThe proprietress was very enthusiastic. I got off the train at around nine o'clock in the middle of the night and couldn't get a taxi. The proprietress drove us to the train station to pick us up. She also gave us a simple travel guide and introduced the scenic spots and Penglai's special breakfast. It's very close to the scenic spot and can be reached on foot. The room is very clean. The whole house is smart and has a smart toilet. It's my first time staying in a B&B and I feel very comfortable and at ease. At the same time, I would like to express my special thanks to the proprietress because I am alone at such a late hour. I made a call and she immediately picked me up. All in all, it was a very pleasant trip. I will definitely stay at her house next time I come here.

GGuest UserThe hotel room was incredibly spacious, clean, and tidy. The smart TV with voice assistant and screen mirroring was a nice touch. But the real highlight was the sea view – absolutely stunning and expansive. You can literally lie in bed and gaze at the ocean. From the window, you get a beautiful panorama of the road, beach, and the sea, with Golden Beach right downstairs. I even caught the sunrise in the morning! Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel staff were exceptional – very professional, gentle, and incredibly responsive to any request. Both the front desk ladies and the restaurant aunties spoke softly and were very polite.

WWangxiaoyaoyaojierou🏨🍎 When choosing a hotel in Yantai, I picked the Indigo Yantai Golden Beach. My main reasons were that it's new, having opened in 2024, and it's said to have the best views in Yantai. Plus, I've always been a fan of Indigo's neighborhood story concept.
For the room type, I specifically booked a Deluxe Boutique Seaview King Room, which is originally on floors 7-13. Upon arrival, Bonnie upgraded me to the 15th floor. It seems the higher the floor, the better the view and the more expensive, though the design layout and room size are pretty similar.
The hotel is just across the road from Golden Beach, so you're truly living by the sea. The exterior looks a bit like a boot, which is quite noticeable when you look back at it from the beach. 😹
I stayed in room 1516, which is just a left turn from the elevator. The overall flow and space design upon entering the room were very clever. The clean king-size bed perfectly faces a 180-degree sea view. Sitting on the bed in the afternoon and gazing at the sea view was absolutely amazing. To the right of the bed, the bathroom is separated, featuring a bathtub by the window and a shower. The water pressure and temperature were quite stable.
Oh, and upon check-in, I received complimentary welcome fruit and a mini-bar (4 drinks). I had a nectarine, some Yantai-specialty apple chips, and a Coke. They're quite generous with mineral water, providing 4 bottles per room per night, which is great.
As for the breakfast buffet, it starts at 6:30 AM. Besides Western options like bread, salads, and sashimi, there are many authentic local delicacies, such as 'jianbing' (savory crepes), Jiaodong fried dough fish, and seaweed buns. It's a carb paradise, and the taste is pretty good, making for a very enjoyable meal. The restaurant's ambiance and views are fantastic; on a good day, you can fully enjoy your meal with the sea as your backdrop. By the way, I also bought afternoon tea and coffee, which I'll share in a separate post later. 👌
& Overall, this Indigo offers excellent value for money. The hotel staff are also very polite, enthusiastic, and attentive. If you're coming to Yantai, it's definitely worth a stay!

GGuest UserYou can see the sea from here, but unfortunately it was raining. The view would be even better on a clear day! The mattress was soft yet supportive, and the duvet was light and comfortable – I loved it. I was upgraded to a suite with a sofa, armchair, and a tea bar. There were two TVs, one in the living area and one in the bedroom, which was great! Thank you to the staff member, Davie! Breakfast was delicious; I especially liked the bread, salad, and roasted bacon. The vegetables were incredibly fresh! My friend enjoyed the sauerkraut noodles! The stir-fried dishes were also piping hot and flavorful. I didn't get to take a bath, and I wish there was a disposable tub liner provided. Also, a few paper cups at the tea bar would be nice, and there was only one bathrobe.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is quite unique, not only for its distinctive architectural style, which is very photogenic, but also for the stunning views outside the building. Both the balcony and rooftop offer direct views of the Bohai Sea. Right across from the guesthouse entrance, you'll find the beach and one of the attractions, the sea cave. Watching the tide come in during the morning, recede in the afternoon, and listening to the waves at night is absolutely amazing.
Walking along the coastal path to the east (turning right) for a few minutes will take you to Yupibian, and in about ten minutes, you'll reach the popular internet-famous attraction, Zhangdao. However, I highly recommend walking west (turning left) from the guesthouse entrance along the coastal path. The scenery is endless, and most importantly, there are fewer people because many tourists take shuttle buses between attractions, but the truly beautiful views are along the way. Finding a large rock to sit on and gazing at the clear, azure sea is incredibly relaxing.
What I really want to say is that the guesthouse's environment and location are probably the best on the island. Besides that, the service is also excellent. The room is fully equipped, and the housekeeper is very helpful. They will contact you in advance to confirm your license plate number so they can pre-authorize your vehicle's access to the island (non-island vehicles and unapproved vehicles cannot enter the island).
On our return trip to the airport, it happened to be raining, and ordering a Didi (ride-hailing service) directly would mean having to take a shuttle bus first to the pick-up point (off the island). After learning about our situation, the housekeeper helped us arrange an airport transfer car and confirmed the price in advance (which was very reasonable). The housekeeper also helps carry your luggage to your room and assists with luggage when you check out.
The restaurant contracted by the guesthouse, both inside and out, also serves delicious food with fresh ingredients. I recommend checking out group deals on Dianping or ** as they are quite cost-effective, though à la carte prices are also decent. Breakfast is served in the cafe and is similar to a typical home-style breakfast, with soy milk, various steamed buns, porridge, eggs, and other Chinese dishes. I will definitely stay here again next time. This guesthouse has a great environment, excellent location, and wonderful service, and the sea across from it is beautiful too.

GGuest User1) The location is excellent. We could easily access all the attractions by bus right outside the hotel, and there was ample parking for self-drivers. Plus, there are many restaurants just a short walk to the left of the hotel entrance.
2) The room facilities were very practical. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – ensuring a great night's sleep. Really good!
3) The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the shower's water pressure was perfect.
4) The breakfast was diverse and even included freshly ground coffee.
5) We stayed on the 8th floor, and the cleaning staff were wonderful – very professional and provided excellent service. Thumbs up!👍
6) The hotel's personalized service was outstanding. The front desk staff were highly competent and patiently looked after the elderly guests.
Overall, I left with a fantastic impression of Yantai.

MMing♥I chose this hotel on Trip.com because I loved its decor, so I wanted to share some honest feedback. Overall, the service was good, but a few things weren't great. First, the parking. There was outdoor parking available, but because some star-rating officials were visiting the next day, we had to carry our luggage to find a spot in the underground garage. The parking space was quite a distance from the hotel elevator, which immediately lowered my check-in experience. Second, when checking in, I booked four rooms but was only given two. Since rooms were scarce that day, after some coordination and a ten-minute wait, the fourth room was finally ready, although the front desk staff apologized repeatedly. Third, the door lock in my room was faulty; it wouldn't close when I left. I think the housekeeping staff should have noticed this when cleaning the room, and it should have been reported for repair promptly. This clearly points to an internal coordination issue. Fourth, after showering, I wanted to use the lotion, but I found the bottle was dirty, had dried residue on the cap, and the seal was open—it had clearly been used. Also, since the room faced the sun, the dust on the coffee table lamp was particularly noticeable, which is a failing of the housekeeping department. In summary, my stay wasn't great. I informed the front desk staff when checking out. This is a Marriott hotel that opened around 2023, and I personally feel these issues shouldn't have occurred. This experience is just my personal opinion and for reference only; I hope the hotel continues to improve its service.
