AnxinyuliuyueThe scenery here is absolutely breathtaking – no complaints there! However, because the bungalows are located on the mountain, we did encounter a few small bugs. When it rained at night, the raindrops hitting the roof above our heads were a bit noisy. The shallow end of the pool isn't really for swimming, as it only comes up to an adult's knees, so it's more suitable for kids. The deep end, on the other hand, is too deep to touch the bottom, which makes it feel unsafe for non-swimmers – a real dilemma! The evening campfire and iced tea experience was truly wonderful. The roasted sweet potatoes, roasted tofu, and roasted chestnuts were all delicious. There was also a live singer until 9 PM, which was very pleasant. The food at the restaurant was also very good, especially the homemade cucumber water and carrot juice, which tasted incredibly pure. This guesthouse is also fantastic for photos – every shot turns out beautifully! Plus, it's right next to Baling Bridge, and Dripingtan Waterfall is just below.

Guest UserYaojia Waterfall Village Hotel is located right inside the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The hotel's main entrance is about 150 meters to the right of the sightseeing bus's 'Grand Waterfall Station'. From the 'Grand Waterfall Station', you can catch sightseeing buses to all attractions and the main scenic area entrance, making getting around extremely convenient. For photography enthusiasts, if you wake up early and turn left out of the main entrance, walking along the pedestrian path will lead you to a viewing platform opposite the Grand Waterfall, often called 'God's perspective,' where you can wait for the sunrise. The hotel offers 24-hour 'butler service,' so you can voice any concerns in the butler group chat. The rooms are elegantly designed and fully equipped with amenities. Afternoon tea is delivered to your room, and the self-service breakfast offers a rich variety. We had a distinctive and memorable 'sour soup fish' for dinner. If you're driving, you can ask the butler to register your license plate with the scenic area, allowing your car to enter the scenic area and park in the hotel's parking lot. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Guest UserAt the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone!
⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting.
⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions).
⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving).
⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit!
⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July).
⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers!
⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view).
⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss!
⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2').
Tips:
‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes.
‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly!
‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes.
‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket.
Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining!
We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!

XiaoduiqingshanThis hotel is excellent! It's very close to the attractions, and the service is great. It's a new hotel with good facilities. I specifically chose this one because it's right next to the scenic area and they offer a VIP shuttle service to the Huangguoshu Falls entrance, which is super convenient. All the staff members are very friendly. The front desk attendant who checked us in was lovely, and especially on the day of check-out, we needed to get to the First Tourist Center. We had used the VIP shuttle service on previous days, but when I called to request it for check-out, the car wasn't dispatched. I'm not sure why it worked fine the two days before but not on the last day. I explained the situation to the front desk, and a young man there, after understanding our predicament, immediately consulted with his supervisor and arranged for the hotel's own car to take us to the First Tourist Center (since I was traveling with my parents and it would have been difficult with luggage). I particularly want to thank the staff member named Tian Di; his attitude was excellent, and he was able to help us solve an unexpected problem, showing great initiative. Both hardware and software are crucial for a good hotel, and Manxin Mansion is fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

Guest UserComplaint: Around 1 AM, I was woken up by loud talking and laughing. I'm not sure which room it was, but a group of people seemed to be crammed into one room, perhaps playing cards or something. I understand people want to have fun when they're on vacation, and even playing until 10 PM would be acceptable. But starting to yell, laugh loudly, and make a commotion at 1 AM in the middle of the night truly shows a lack of consideration for other guests; their quality is questionable. I called hotel services, and the staff member immediately said they would investigate. The issue was resolved quickly, although my rest was affected. It wasn't the hotel's fault, and they handled the problem promptly.
Hygiene: The room hygiene was impeccable. The bedding, in particular, was better than some star-rated hotels in Guiyang; at least it wasn't damp, and I slept very comfortably. There was no musty smell.
Environment: The hotel has a pond and garden outside, and directly across is the fire station, which keeps it away from the noisy and congested city center. It's also very close to the third tourist center. Both the outdoor and indoor environments are faultless, and parking and charging are very convenient.
Service: Having stayed for two nights so far, the service has been excellent.
Facilities: Mostly complete.
Restaurant: Dining at the restaurant was truly delightful. The stir-fried tofu skin with bean dregs was delicious, and all the sour soup dishes were good.

Guest UserMany online reviews mention that this hotel is old, and it's true that the facilities aren't new anymore. My room had a small hallway upon entering, with a door on each side – one to the bathroom and one to the bedroom. The bedroom door was warped and wouldn't close properly, but since there's an outer main door, it wasn't an issue. Plus, the room was very clean. The location is absolutely fantastic; you can enter the scenic area directly from the hotel's entrance without needing to take a shuttle. I entered the Great Waterfall scenic area at 7 AM, including the Water Curtain Cave, and by 8:15 AM, I was already having breakfast in the hotel restaurant. This advantage makes the slightly older facilities completely acceptable. The hotel also offers shuttle service to and from the bus station, which is a huge plus. The only drawback is that the hotel's dining options are very limited and overpriced. After one meal, I really didn't want to eat there again, and there were no other dining choices nearby, which was a bit inconvenient.

Guest UserThe inn I found temporarily during the Qingming Festival is located in Yunshan Village, which is very convenient. The owner and his family are very hospitable and they organize concerts in the evening, which is very pleasant. Most of the shops in the village are still under renovation. The place is not big and relatively quiet. You can go directly to Yunjiu Mountain to visit Yunjiu Temple next to it. At this time, you can overlook the rapeseed fields of Yunfeng Tunbu, which is very beautiful. The only thing is that you can't drive to the top of the mountain. You need to walk a mountain road to get in, but it's not far. Overall, it's good. I will come again next time if I have the chance.

The room was upgraded and it is very spacious with a high cost performance ratio! The key point is that the B&B is located in the scenic area. There is also a free shuttle bus to the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, so you can avoid the surging crowds during the May Day holiday by traveling in the morning and evening. In addition to its good location, the B&B is also beautiful, clean and comfortable, with considerate and in-place service. There is also a small ball pool and a slide in the room for children to play. It is a first-class experience to travel with children~ Five-star praise!

Guest UserBasic but functional hotel. Room toilet was poorly designed, without any hooks in the shower stall, such that there was a need to step directly into the room after showering. The room itself was comfortable and clean, but the poor design of the toilet caused privacy issues. Breakfast had virtually no variety, even though the noodles cooked on-demand were tasty and of good quality. Hotel staff originally seemed a little cold, but were extremely helpful in handling our baggage. Hotel is a short walk away from the main entrance of the waterfall park, close to many eateries that sell affordable food open at night.
