We spent a few lovely nights in this hotel. We loved their facilities. The room was very spacious, clean and the hotel is situated in a very peaceful place however very remote. Very relaxing retreat, their spa is also amazing and we liked the food especially the breakfast.

One of the best hotels in Ubud I've been to so far. The surrounding nature is beautiful. My view from the room was towards the jungle and everything was green and peaceful. The rooms are huge and clean. All employees are very friendly. And the pools are beautiful and clean. The breakfast was nice as well. The location suited me because you can rent a scooter from them and go on a tour wherever you want. The hotel is quiet and if you don't want to go anywhere, you can stay and enjoy everything there. It's more of a place to rest, and this time it suited me.

My stay at The Kenran in Ubud was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel at home. The reception team was incredibly friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in process and always ready to assist with any requests. The restaurant staff were equally outstanding, providing impeccable service with genuine hospitality. Every meal was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, making dining a truly enjoyable experience. The room itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. But the highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking view—waking up to the lush greenery and serene surroundings was an unforgettable experience. Every staff member we encountered, from housekeeping to the concierge, went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction truly set The Kenran apart. If you’re looking for a tranquil and luxurious escape in Ubud, I highly recommend The Kenran. I can’t wait to return!

We decided to stay at Kenran for 1 night after reading a mix of negative and positive reviews about this hotel. Our rooms are very spacious and nice with a lovely jungle view. Our a la carte breakfast was good. The staff are very nice and friendly. Surrounding views were amazing and truly authentic to Ubud nature. For our stay purpose and the price we paid, it's value for money. The hotel should have been rated a 5-star review for our stay if the following did not happen. First, in one of our parents' rooms, one body pillow was very smelly, which indicates it has not been washed or changed from previous guests. This unhygiene is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. Second, on check-out date, we must walk up the 45 degree hill from our room to reception due to all 3 buggy cars running out of battery at 10am !?. Luckily, our old parents were able to use the last battery juice to get to the reception, while half of us weren't. This situation was truly embarrassing for such a hotel to let their guests, especially if they were children and the elderly to walk in an unsafe, wet, slippery, and high slope driveway. Staff was apologetic for the incident, but the situation could have been avoided if they had made sure all buggy cars were fully charged during the night before. We would like to stay at this place if the situations above were addressed properly.

Resort is at a good location at a distance from the city so it’s quiet and peaceful. But the ants and insects are everywhere. So not very pleasant. They should really do something about repelling insects. At least in the rooms. Resort is very stingy when it comes to asking for extra bottles or water or glasses etc. Indian Kitchen is good but the other one not so much. Breakfast is below average, very limited options and only one serving of main course (small portions). Pools are nice and scenic for photos. Resort is very beautiful for clicking pictures. Overall 2.5/5 for this stay. P.S - Picture is of some leftover food that stayed for at least 2 days in the lobby to our room.

The direction and road leading to the resort can be tasting especially at night. Narrow road and no streetlamp. It's a sanctuary by itself and it's excellent just to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Far from any amenities and it's inconvenient to move around. Private chartered car is a must; no Grab no Gojek; unless you take local taxi booked via hotel. Moving from room to lobby and dining areas requires much walking up the slope/stairs (cos the hotel is like perched on hil). You can ask for a buggy service (they have 2) and are subject to waiting time if many requests. Room was splendid and view was canopy. WiFi was strong. Room came with complimentary packs of chips and 3 cans of soft drinks. Toilet has no door and showering could be cold cos of air-conditioning. Breakfast was simple. Buffet spread of basic menu like drinks and pastries. One could order from menu. I find this was good cos less wastage Overall, resort personnel were polite and attentive!

Amazing hotel, amazing service, amazing rooms, view and amazing swimming pool...One of the best places to rest and enjoy in peace...

Stayed at Royal Maha villa (2 bed room) with open space jacuzzi area. Villa did not look as good as pictures. Remote location with Nice jungle view. Foods were mediocre (ate for lunch) and Limited choice of breakfast. Drinking water limited to 3 bottle (330ml) / person and extra charge for more bottle requested.

The place is very special, it has many stairs, the service and the staff are friendly, and the view is beautiful and quiet.

Overall i enjoyed my stay and had good time, Pool restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help me with photos and videos

We had a good stay at the resort BUT the BIG SPOILER  was house keeping and room service I had asked for tea bags multiple times they never came. I had to ask for honey from four  points House keeping , Room service, reception and finally restaurant.  Came after 1 hr. Finally they charged me an exorbitant sum for a towel which had few streaks of  washable hair color. Will never recommend going there especially if you have hair color HA HA Such a  silly reason  to lose business

The hotel is lovely, but the experience could be better. There is nothing special about the service. The breakfast is awful, with few options and not good quality. The coffee is terrible, and you must pay extra if you want something as simple as a cappuccino. The food in the Indian restaurant is amazing, very good. However, the restaurant could be cozier. It has good potential but looks very simple.
