Srinagar Hotels with Balcony

Nestled at the top of the hill overlooking the Dal Lake. Amazing experience right from check in to check out. Restaurant at the hotel Jade Dragon - food was delicious. Breakfast spread - vegetarian was superb. Room was large and spacious ***** with bathroom. Staff was courteous, warm and welcoming. Bhavyansh at Jade Dragon was very helpful and gave some good recommendations.

Excellent hospitality by the entire family members. They make you feel you are part of their family. Nice home cooked food by Siraj bhai's wife and daughter in their own kitchen and served hot on their dining table. Siraj Bhai is extremely helpful. He had arranged for my entire stay, pick-up/drop from airport, travel and all site-seeing. In-fact he had arranged for my entire itinerary for the entire 7 days from 17th May till 23rd May 2023. Stayed five nights on the house boat and one night in a hotel in Pahalgam. The house boat is well maintained with nice spacious and clean rooms. The toilet bathroom is clean and we have hot water 24 hrs of the day. The bed also has a heater. Thanks You Siraj Bhai and your entire family for making our trip memorable. On my next trip to Kashmir HB Sweet Star will be my first choice of stay. Would also like to thank Zafar bhai who took us for sight seeing and guided us at all the places. This was by far the best we stayed at Kashmir. Its a new hotel. The hotel staff were very sweet enough to upgrade our room. The suite was royal ( not exaggerating ! ). The interiors of the room are very tastefully made with a plush sofa, a big TV and their rugs are to die for. The ambience of the dining area is also very good. Food was good and they staffs were very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay at Srinagar.

The owner mr. Ibrahim was kind enough to send his personnel mr. Ashraf to ghat no. 12 to pick up us. We checked into our room without any verification and documents. He took the order for 2 home made lunches. Rice was well cooked and soft. Dal and chicken curry were not spicy they were tasty and went well with chapatis and rice. After lunch we watched wimbledon tennis for some time. They served khava. Kashmiri special tea. We went to boulevard road using their small boat. We had our dinner in a hotel outside. Came back and sat in the front, looking at the dal lake with lights. We had a sound sleep. They served us a sumptuous bread toast, omelette with tea. We checked out 9 am. It was a memorable and enjoyable stay. There were no mosquitoes. There was no music and disturbance. There was hot water available 24x7.

IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE - PLEASE DONT GO IF GOING WITH FAMILY, I AM PLANNING TO RAISE AND FIR AGAINST THE OWNER. WHAT WENT WRONG - - Due to maintenance they have kept the full houseboat wide open. Later the staff left the houseboat without closing it and informing any of us. I was with a small kid and it was not at all safe. - After few hours when we started raising the voice suddenly they closed the floors and didn't told us that the leakage/ maintenance was properly done or not. - Staff wasn't all all supportive till the time we started raising our voices, as they were just trying to mint extra money from us for food and other services. - When i put a complaint to goibibo for the same, next day owner called me with all the abusive words in his mouth and asked me to leave and tried to threaten me. - Upon reaching the houseboat i though i will just leave the place, the owner ***** with 7-8 more locals came to houseboat and started shouting on me and TRIED TO KEPT ME AS HOSTAGE TILL THE TIME I SIGN A PAPER THAT I AM LEAVING ON MY OWN AND ALSO DELETING THE VIDEO WHICH WE HAVE MADE WHEN HE WAS SHOUTING ON US. WE HAVE ALSO KEPT A AUDIO RECORDER WHICH RECORDED THE WHOLE EVIDENCE AND HAVE SENT THE AUDIO / VIDEO RECORDING TO GOIBIBO FOR TAKING FURTHER ACTION. PERSONAL ADVICE: DONT GO TO THIS HOUSEBOAT NOT JUST FOR THIS INCIDENT WHICH OBVIOUSLY IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR FAMILY TRAVELLERS BUT FOR OVERALL HYGENE WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES ATTACHED. Sharing chronology below for everyone. Day 1 During our stay, we were not supported well during the checkout process. Shortly after checking in, some maintenance work began, which was clearly an issue that had existed prior but was hidden from us. The boat was also found to be leaking, putting our safety at risk. The entire boat was left open even when my family members were in their rooms, essentially trapping them. After inquiring about when the maintenance would be completed, as the worker had left everything open for 4-5 hours, it was only after I applied pressure that they hastily closed the houseboat covers, without confirming if the leakage had been resolved. I have since filed a complaint on Goibibo, providing photographic evidence of these issues. Day 2: It was normal morning as we did our breakfast and left for outing to Sonmarg, While returning from there the owner of the houseboat called me around 5:15 PM on my way back, The call first received by my brother-in-law as my phone was with him, when he talked rudely and hung up. Later i called him back.. The houseboat owner was speaking very rudely and using abusive language that I cannot even repeat. He was yelling at me, accusing me of posting negative things about his houseboat on Goibibo. He threatened that if I did not check out immediately, he would throw my luggage off the boat.
