Dresden Hotels with Balcony

In the 3 years since I last stayed here, the hotel has declined. I am a Marriott Gold member, My first room was right next to the elevator, and when I went downstairs and asked to be moved, I felt as though I was inconveniencing the desk clerk. They gave me a room one door further down. When I came home that evening, I had a leak in my ceiling that was creating a large puddle and continually dripping. I put a bunch of towels down and let them know. By the following evening, the leak had been fixed, thankfully. My room also had a large Jacuzzi tub with the shower above it, which was very difficult as you almost had to stand on the sloped part of the tub to be under the shower. It was also tricky getting in and out of the tub as it was very high. Perhaps the thing that I found the most disappointing was that the only choice for breakfast was to pay €35 for buffet. I asked if I could just get a cup of coffee and a roll and the answer was only if I paid €35. This seems silly. There was nothing horribly wrong with the hotel, but the overall stay was just unpleasant. Certainly not five star.

From the time we walked in until we left, the 4 nights 5 days were the BEST. Staff greeted us with a smile, we requested our room away from the lift and he went out of his way to find us a perfect room. Any time we came to reception every staff working at the Hotel could not do enough and always smiling What a lovely atmosphere, we loved it and cannot praise enough for the staff. The only disappointment was not the the staff maybe the hotel management policy where you don't get your room cleaned. But PLEASE at least empty the bins in the room. Not hygienic leaving rubbish in the room for so long. And phone in the room would be better for emergency please. If we slipped how do we get help. Again I know the staff would do anything to help but need to be able to contact

Only advantages and positive experience! Hotel staff is really friendly and ready to help and support. The teapot and slippers were provided from the first call. I have a gluten-free diet, and for breakfast they baked a fresh gluten-free bread for me - it was absolutely amazing. We stayed with a family and booked two rooms. The hotel kindly provided us neighbour rooms as we desired. Thank you so much 😊!

Das Apartment ist auf jeden Fall seinen Preis wert, ich buchte allerdings weit im voraus, und das im März, also Nebensaison, wo es wirklich sehr günstig war, immerhin hat es Küche und einen großen Balkon Richtung ruhigem Innenhof. Es gibt allerdings keine Rezeption, man erhält eine halbe Stunde vor der Eincheckzeit (15.00 Uhr) per Email Codes und eine Anleitung, die schlicht kompliziert ist. Dann stellte sich raus, dass die Hausnummer nicht stimmte (der Komplex Wallstraße hat mehrere Hauseingänge, in denen sich Limehome-Apartments befinden). Und dann ließ sich der Hauseingang mit den angegebenen Nummern nicht öffnen. Nach Wartezeit erreichte ich Limehome telefonisch, mir wurde gesagt, ich solle die Tür nach dem Piepston ziehen, aber es gab keinen Piepston, offenbar kaputt. Irgendwann gelang es mir, zu öffnen (diese Probleme begleiteten mich vier Tage lang), dann stimmte der Code für die Apartmenttür im 5. Stock nicht. Am Telefon wurde mir schließlich ein neuer Code gegeben, mit dem ich die Tür öffnen konnte. Dann kriegt man den nächsten Code, mit dem die Tür ab diesem Zeitpunkt aufgeht. Geht's noch komplizierter? Ich habe in den Tagen darauf mehrere verzweifelte Gäste am Gang telefonieren gehört, die teils überhaupt nicht in ihr Zimmer kamen. Apartment ist zwar groß, aber unpraktisch eingerichtet. Winziger Sofatisch, sehr wenig Platz im Bad, Mini-Nachttisch und keine TV-Programmübersicht (tatsächlich gab es nur ganz wenige funktionierende Programme). Große Küche mit Kaffeeautomat. Für mich am schlimmsten: Es gibt keine Heizkörper, offenbar gibt es eine Bodenheizung, man kann nur den AC-Schalter auf die höchste Stufe stellen. Das nützt wenig, es war in den vier Tagen winterlich kalt in Dresden, ich habe im Apartment gefroren, vor allem, weil ich wegen des Wettes dort viel Zeit verbringen musste. Lage, wie erwähnt, dafür perfekt, 5 Gehminuten zum Zwinger, also zur Altstadt, zwei Supermärkte im Gebäudekomplex, Cafés (laut, kalt und unfreundlich) in der Nähe. Straßenbahnhaltestelle vor dem Gebäude, nur wenige Minuten Fahrt zum Hauptbahnhof.

Price/performance is absolutely consistent. The staff is attentive and advanced. Despite the lack of professional staff, the hotel is well equipped with young adults. You sleep very quiet. A short comment on my fellow. I find it impossible if guests who can afford a 4-Sterne-Hotel get their pockets full of coffee juice, sugar, nutella, crack bread and everything packed. I'm ashamed of it and I'll have the courage to speak to people next time.

All are located in the upper floor (no lift in the house). Unfortunately it is not so easy to find where the respective room is located, or how the geographical orientation is. Therefore, here is a short overview. “Lila” is backwards with the north-west orientation to the prügnitz and probably the most quiet and “greenest”. “Yellow” is south-east, With view of the (without Corona?!) Innerhof/Freisitz and access to the deep garage. “Green” has a south-west orientation with view of the Jewish cemetery and view of the Louise road, in which Zenit directly falls under the sun in summer. The room is Clean and on the terrace you can make a nice glass to sound day or night. Shower (in fact standard) was not available and should be brought with. Wi-Fi was disturbed (but in repair), but you had full LTE reception. The bed in the terrace room is very flat and low, which is certainly no problem for younger people, for older people maybe already. Furthermore, the “corners” very loading and you can be able to hit your leg there, liked to be repeated;-) breakfast buffet standard meets it best. Yes, in principle everything you need, but also not “specially” or “raffined” and for €14 per person additionally, no good price-performance ratio. When undercover there is no buffet! Everything was perfekt, I loved the high quality of the apartment… And I talked with the really friendly caretaker of the house, he is a really good guy It was good that there were two toilets and one bath, I enjoyed a good bath in the morning The lokation is also perfekt because you can get everywhere you want in just minutes

We had searched for a cafe for a sad coffee in the surroundings of the cemetery and found a location for about 30 people in the old tolkewitz courtyard. Order and settlement went uncomplicated; the service was aware and friendly, the coffee was nicely handed down, extra requests were implemented quickly. On the website there are three variants for one cover; we have chosen the average: day soup + 1 half-coated bread + 1 piece of cake per person. That seemed little to us, but the bread was huge and well-pleasant and delicious, and the piece of cookie was large enough, so that everyone became well-saturated. Only the soup (Soljanka) was loud and rather delicate from the taste, we are better used to it. But it did not break the overall impression: we were satisfied - according to the occasion.

Enjoyed a 4 night stay here at the end of August. Great location in a lovely neighbourhood, perfect base to explore a great City and the surrounding area. We had a large room with a kitchenette but preferred to have the hotel buffet breakfast sat on the terrace. Really nice and helpful Hotel staff, just a shame our German language wasn’t up to scratch. Tram stop right outside the front gate with a 15 minute ride into the city Centre. Would we stay again? Absolutely!
