The second stop of the three-day and two-night trip to Miaoli is Chocolate Cloud Village. It takes about 50 minutes to drive from the first stop, Sky City. Before entering the parking lot of the park, someone will collect the park fee, which is per person. It’s 200 yuan, but it can be used as a discount for 200 yuan of in-park consumption, which means if you buy any souvenir, entry to the park is free, hahahaha After buying the ticket and parking the car, there is a fish pond in front of you. Haha, next to the fish pond is the Chocolate Story Museum. There are many things in it that you can take pictures of. There is also a small cafe attached that sells some snacks and drinks. The consumption here can also be discounted with the admission ticket. In the Chocolate Story Museum Inside, you can see that this place has been in business for more than 20 years. It is really not simple. In addition to telling the complete chocolate story and production history, the park also includes hand-made experiences and the sale of chocolate peripheral products. After visiting the Story Hall, go inside and you will see the Chocolate Dream Hall. If you want to buy souvenirs, I would recommend buying them here instead of going down to the Story Hall because there are fewer types in the Story Hall. , and all the products in the Story Hall are available in the Dream Hall, haha In addition to the Story Hall and Dream Hall, what many people don’t know is that Chocolate Cloud Village actually provides accommodation services, because we have already booked other hotels, but if you want to experience a unique and complete chocolate journey, Chocolate Cloud Village Yunzhuang Base Camp is definitely the best place. A short video in the museum will immediately lead you into the vast world of chocolate. There is also a creative restaurant here where you can taste special dishes made with cocoa. You can soak in the hot spring until you are full. There are many snacks nearby which are very convenient if you are hungry. Even if you want to have a late night snack, the whole family can walk to Erfu in 3-5 minutes. Breakfast is also Chinese and Western, so you can run out of gas. It’s really convenient to have a gas station right in front. However, there was construction during the day and it was a bit noisy. Otherwise, it’s really nice👍It’s worth recommending👍

Visited in April... The local guesthouse had a very clean and spacious room. The guesthouse entrance was a bit narrow, so drivers need to be very careful with the surrounding traffic. The first room upon entering felt like the reception, so I stopped to inquire. The staff seemed quite relaxed in their work. I had booked the room in advance via an app, specifically choosing this place because it was advertised as pet-friendly. I also called ahead to confirm and made a note in my reservation. However, upon arrival at the front desk, I still had to proactively inform them that I had a pet with me, as they charge a deposit and a pet fee (the deposit is refundable upon check-out). Parking was a free-for-all; cars were parked haphazardly in front of any building where a space was available. It wasn't allocated to your specific room/building. I believe this needs improvement 😮💨. I was staying in one building, but my car ended up parked three or four buildings away, which was really inconvenient for loading and unloading. Then there was breakfast the next day. Online reviews made it sound good, but in reality, it was a tiny space with only a few limited dishes. The coffee and soy milk were incredibly sweet, to the point of being undrinkable. I was very disappointed. What upset me the most was that despite being advertised as a pet-friendly guesthouse, they wouldn't allow my dog into the dining area for breakfast. We were flat-out denied entry. When I tried to discuss it, they claimed it was to avoid disturbing other guests. However, there were only two other guests in the dining room, seated further inside. I suggested we could sit at the table closest to the entrance, in the corner – just a small spot for him to be. But they firmly refused, and I was absolutely furious. If they had informed us of this rule either beforehand or during check-in, I would have understood and we could have taken turns eating breakfast. But we had all come down for breakfast without having eaten yet, and they expected us to just leave our dog outside?! I was utterly enraged. I really hope the guesthouse can clearly state that pets are not allowed in the dining area, or at least specify conditions (e.g., pets must be in a stroller or carrier) for entry. This would help other pet owners avoid such an unpleasant surprise. Ultimately, it was a genuinely clean and spacious accommodation, but the staff's attitude left a very sour taste in my mouth.
