Snow houses offer free rental of skateboards, shoes, and ski poles, but goggles and snow suits have to be rented, especially the goggles are very old. So if it is convenient, you should buy goggles, snow suits, gloves, and headgear online in advance. 4. The room is relatively large, and the bathroom and the entrance to the room are separated into a small room. When I came back on the first day, I found that the curtains were drawn and two bottles of water and two cups were placed. The tea bags were not replenished and the quilt was not made. The night bed service was lonely. The next day, I asked to leave water. On the third day, I happened to be in the room and saw the waiter repeating the steps while doing it. Most staff members will not take the initiative to greet, except for the housekeeping manager and breakfast, but the breakfast staff will give the wrong coffee, and ask for Americano to get latte. When you go to the yogurt lady, you have to confirm twice whether you want this. The open one is better. 10. The signs are not clear. There is no room number sign from the lobby upstairs. It took a long time to find the snow house and the back door exit of the commercial street on B1. Every time I came to a fork, I didn't know which way to go, so I had to rely on the approximate direction. I got it wrong several times.

The hotel front desk may be very tired due to the Spring Festival, so it looks a bit cold, and the service enthusiasm is not felt. The room is a view room, you can see the ski field, the view is very wide, but only two small windows can be opened, and they are still diagonally opened. The whole town is very convenient for eating, and it takes less than ten minutes to walk to Halla Mountain. There are restaurants, gyms, swimming pools, billiards, table tennis, etc. in the hotel.

So if you are coming here, you are going to Wanda Ski Resort. There are so many many hotels in the area that it really doesn't matter so much which one you pick. Holiday Inn is one of the furthest away from the resort, but the price reflects this. However, it is still only a 10-15min walk (even when it's cold and icy) from the resort. The hotel is busy, there will be wait for the front desk, this is why service got 4/5, but the actual information from staff was okay (no English though so god bless my Chinese partner) The hotel has a mini cinema, a restaurant and access to the ski slopes. You can hire ski's, snowboards along with all the boots and clothing required so you don't need to worry about that. In the hotel is the rental place, you rent your gear and you simply walk out of the hotel and you are at the ski slopes. Please note this is NOT the same 10min walk to Wanda ski resort, the hotel has its own access to the mountain and you use that. The restaurant is fine and breakfast was a buffet with mainly Chinese but some western stuff too. The room, it's not large, but not cramped. Very warm, we even needed the windows open at -40C outside to avoid being too hot. There is a mini supermarket in the hotel, but a better 24 hour store across the road. I think for the money paid compared to other hotels, its very good value. Maybe other hotels have bigger rooms or more restaurants, but as every hotel is next to each other, I wouldn't bother paying more to get one closer to the resort as you can save thousands of RMB for a 1 min walk. And as most of your time will be spent in Wanda ski resort, you won't be in your room much. I doubt I would return to Changbaishan / Wanda Ski resort as an area, but if I did, then as long as the value was still there, Holiday Inn Express is a good enough choice

The room is nice, the bed is big enough to sleep two adults and one child. The breakfast is rich and can be brought back to the room. The ski house can go directly to the ski slope, but the beginner's ski slope is a little difficult, and you have to walk a long way, which is a bit inconvenient. The place to change shoes is too crowded and too small. There is nothing to play behind the hotel. It is better to have a small playground in the backyard of the Sheraton Hotel. Moreover, it is located in a remote location in the resort area, and it is too far to go to the town. The shuttle bus is super inconvenient. You have to wait outside by yourself. The service staff will not watch it. When you ask for help, they actually say that this kind of thing is not their job. There is no airport pick-up and drop-off, just a bus, fixed point, and the round-trip time is not caught up. The daily flights are not flexible enough and not enough. In short, the shuttle bus and the airport bus are super dissatisfied. Hallasan Hot Spring is very small indoor, mostly outdoor, and there is no place for sweat steaming. In short, the experience is not very good, and there is no service and feeling of a star hotel at all.

The hotel is in a nice skiing area. Just leave and there is the first lift. The rooms are sufficient but maybe not standard for a 4 stars hotel. Example no rain shower, no iron to iron shirts. Unfortunately the room we booked the heating was not working which is by minus 12 a no go. Therefore it was necessary to move in another room. The employees were very nice and helpful and tried to do the best to solve it immediately. The restaurant I tried only 2 times. For the Christmas dinner and one for lunch a noodle soup. The dinner was just a ok except the backed ham was delicious. The noodle soup was not really good for the price. The breakfast is standard Chinese breakfast. I loved there the noodle soup. (Why not at lunch?) and the Chinese pancake are also very good. The lobby bar is nice place to relax but the training for the stuff have to improved. I asked for semi dry red wine. Lately I picked a bottle by myself based on the grapes and my experience cause no help here and to open the bottle the waiter had to search first and opener. But the Cabernet Sauvignon was good. A recommendation is the coffee black no milk no sugar in the lobby bar. Very good. Worth mention there were a lot of coupons included in thbooking like for skiing, hot springs and son on. Summary the hotel is worth staying but they should also consider some improvements.
