Avignon Hotels with Pools

A decent hotel, close to the Central City Railway Station and right on the edge of the old town. It's easy to get in and out. It's a very suitable hotel for backpackers. It has a large public area on the ground floor and you can have breakfast next to the swimming pool. It's like a resort hotel in the old town. The hotels inside are all small in size, and they coincide with the annual Avignon Theater Festival. The advertisements all over the street are very atmospheric.

I stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel with my partner from 12 to 16 September 22 there were however a number of short comings. The first of these was that the room we had been provided with was infested with mosquitoes - we had discovered this in the middle of the night after hearing the typical mosquito sounds and in the morning we had noticed we had numerous mosquito bites on our bodies. I had complained to the hotel front desk, the staff however appeared dismissive, my fundamental point to them was that the room should have been properly disinfected of the insects prior to making it available to customers. Secondly, breakfast in the hotel was of the bare minimum, in terms of hot cooked food , only bacon and scrambled eggs were available, the latter was of poor quality and almost resembled a paste as the eggs were cooked in far too much cream and milk.Cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt and some fruit were also available. No hot water was available in the hotel in the morning of the 16 September 22. Lastly, all the TV channels were in French, not even one channel was available in English. We had booked this hotel on the understanding it was of 4 stars, given however the shortcomings above together with the standard and quality that were below customer expectations it is difficult to see how the 4 star rating and price being charged was justified.

The hotel is in a small city with the most beautiful trip this time. The whole city only needs to be walked. You can enjoy the rich ancient architecture scenery around, and friendly customs. Good restaurants are all around. There are few bars and very lively, everywhere. It is a beautiful view, the air is particularly good, and the moonlight is beautiful at night. The hotel is a 400-year-old building. A small hotel is directly built and connected. It also has many years of history. I like these poplars, pine trees, etc., looking at the inner garden. It’s also very comfortable, and I also feel why the French can read a book on a sun lounger and drink a cup of coffee. It’s a day. When it comes to the beautiful breakfast environment, looking at the landscape through the glass, it is also a European-style breakfast. The quality is also available. , The room is very special, first is a cloakroom and toilet, and then into a bathroom, the bed and a sofa, the sofa is English style, very comfortable, the terrace is a glass door, there are windows separated by adjustable size switch, Very satisfied, come again if you have a chance, I will also recommend this hotel

The hotel has a large parking lot for free parking. The hotel garden has a good view. Friends who like to take pictures will be satisfied. The breakfast is good and delicious. The front desk clerk is also warm and courteous. However, I checked into the room and found that the quilt cover pillowcases on the day were not changed and washed. I used it directly. The stains on it are disgusting to see... The location of the hotel is not easy to find, the GPS guided us to the path in the reeds, and there were several large stones at the end of the path blocking the road...

Very satisfied, very close to the station, very convenient if you drive, there are many parking spaces at the door. The room facilities are new, the toilet facilities are good, and the room space is sufficient.

A very special hotel, the Cardinal's private house 600 years ago, was purchased by the current family more than 100 years ago and opened as a hotel after being renovated. There are 5 all-suite hotels, a restaurant and two living rooms on the first floor, full of modern art decoration, everywhere show the taste of the owner. The room is biased towards classical and natural style. The room is large. There is a small room to put luggage at the door. The wash basin is a large iron shell. The bathtub is very deep and it is very comfortable to sit down. L'accueil au téléphone pour la réservation (une dame) a été ”cordial” mais pas hyper chaleureux. Madame, le sourire s'entend au téléphone, n'hésitez pas à en faire usage, c'est gratuit ! Premièrement nous avons dû payer un supplément de 20€ sur notre Wonderbox (d'une valeur de 199,90€) pour les deux nuits, afin de bénéficier d'une chambre supérieure soi-disant plus grande. Honnêtement je ne vois pas comment cette chambre peut être plus petite ! Soit... Deuxièmement nous avions réservé une chambre PMR mais elle est beaucoup trop petite et il est évident qu'un fauteuil roulant ne passe pas partout ou alors très difficilement. Le réceptionniste (Willy) m'a dit que l'hôtel avait été contrôlé récemment et que les normes avaient été validées, or nous avons fait quelques mesures pour attester de nos impressions et il apparait qu'il n'en est rien ! Les normes ne sont pas là pour embêter les hôteliers, hein ! Gardez en tête messieurs dames que la vie d'un handicapé est un combat au quotidien, où rien n'est facile, où tous les gestes du quotidien sont une épreuve. Lorsqu'on paie pour une chambre adaptée, il est extrêmement frustrant une fois encore de devoir s'adapter à cette chambre !!! C'est inadmissible !! Comment on fait pour accéder au lit lorsqu'on a un fauteuil, alors que ce lit est cloisonné entre un mur et une armoire ?? (ou plutôt entre un radiateur et une armoire) La salle de bain doit être aux normes PMR, or : - Largeur de la porte moins de 80 cm au lieu des 90 cm règlementaires ! - Lavabo trop haut (sans parler de la vétusté du plan de travail où il manque le chant, ce qui m'a valu une coupure sur le rebord !) - Pas de tabouret dans la douche, on m'a dit de prendre la chaise du bureau ! - Receveur de douche beaucoup trop petit, la chaise tient à peine dedans, du coup on fout de l'eau partout ! (ah oui, parce qu'il n'y a pas de rideau non plus !) - Pas de barre de sécurité dans la douche ! - Le distributeur de savon du lavabo est beaucoup trop haut !! Comment on fait ? Ah bah on fait pas ! Enfin dernier point, nous avions la chambre au fond du couloir du RDC (N°11 je crois), celle ci donne sur la buanderie. Nous avons été dérangés tôt le matin par les allers et venues de la femme de ménage dans l'escalier de service métallique, où chacun de ses pas résonnait dans la chambre ; on ne la blâme pas la pauvre, elle fait son travail ; mais peut-être trouver une solution pour limiter ce désagrément. Allez, les points positifs quand même : - Mention spéciale pour le réceptionniste de nuit (Farid je crois) qui a été adorable et extrêmement serviable et professionnel en réglant notre problème. En effet, lors de notre première nuit, nous avons été réveillés à plusieurs reprise par ce que nous pensions être une alarme, sans savoir d'où elle provenait. Farid a su trouver l'origine et il s'est avéré qu'il s'agissait de l'alarme de l'occupant de la chambre mitoyenne à la nôtre qui ne l'entendait pas, donc celle-ci sonnait encore et encore ! Farid
