We loved this hotel! We left yesterday and miss it already. The whole building is charming. Think teddy bears, flowers, even an old typewriter my kid got a kick out of. Public areas include a very small lounge by the reception and a breakfast room with a big window overlooking a small street. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and most spoke some English. There is a small lift up to the rooms as well as a twisty interior staircase my son also enjoyed. Each floor has a couple of levels with a few stairs between each, so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a room that doesn't require any stairs. Rooms: We had the junior suite for 3. (More than 3 would be quite cramped.) It has a double bed and a chair folded out into a twin. There is also a desk, two chairs, small table, chest of drawers, small closet, and additional clothes rack. So we were able to unpack most of our stuff and put it away. There is a small WC and bathroom with sink, drawers and shelving, bath/shower and clothesline. There's a small fridge mostly stuffed with minibar items, but we were able to cram in a couple of our own items. There were several windows but it did get rather dim in the evenings once the sun went down. The windows open directly onto a ledge, no screen, which might be concerning if you have a very inquisitive or adventurous toddler. We slept with a window open for a couple of nights and I did get a few bug bites, but I am one of those people who's irresistible to mosquitoes and very allergic; my companions were not bothered. The temperature was comfortable in late June and we didn't feel the need to try the A/C or heat. Amenities: Tea selection, instant coffee, real coffee; teapot and coffee machine; condensed milk, real and fake sugar. 2 teacups, 2 espresso cups, 2 spoons. Bathroom provided soap and combo shower gel/shampoo; no conditioner. Breakfast is an amazing buffet: Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and sausages, croissants, pain au chocolate, brioche, bread, pickles, olives, tea, coffee, espresso machine, fresh squeezed orange juice, milk, soy milk, other juices, cheeses, cold meats, fruits (strawberries, watermelon, pineapple), veggies, etc. It runs 'til 11 and even on the day we showed up late, they kindly gave us a ton of food. Location: This could be a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. It's right off the Place de l'Horloge, which has a ton of cafes and restaurants and glaciers and a cute little carousel. It's steps from the Palais de Papes. That is all very convenient, but it also means you hear all of the activities of the Place at night: late-night revelry (there was a big music festival Friday night and the band was...not great) and early-morning deliveries and such.

Avignon is a historic city, the location of the hotel is very good, very close to the Palace of the Palace, the city road driving is very crashing, the navigation is also collapsed, parking spaces are difficult to find, all this can not stop the city charm

Beautifully renovated and comfortable hotel within the walled city of Avignon! We loved our room, it was spacious (particularly the bathroom) and felt brand-new with very contemporary, warm colors and decor. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as well, offering to help us make dinner reservations and even telling us where to get a jar of the distinctive local honey they offered with breakfast. The breakfast options were fantastic, and the hotel is within walking distance of everything - you're 10 minutes away from the Palais du Papes and charming local shops, restaurants, and more. The one challenge is parking in Avignon: if you're driving into Avignon, while the hotel does recommend the INDIGO JEAN JAURES car park at 2 AV Mar de Lattre de Tassigny, 84000 Avignon, unfortunately it was closed when we were trying to park our rental car, so we had to go with an alternate outside the city walls. Would recommend having a primary and backup just in case for Avignon so you're prepared!

It is relatively close to the train station and bus station, and there are many restaurants and bakeries along the way, and Carrefour; the most important attractions are basically within 500 meters, which is convenient. I especially like that they give out two Aix's special marzipan every day, which is beautiful and delicious.

Awesome antique hotel, located in the old town gate, very close to the main attractions and business districts, valet parking, very warm and welcoming service. The hotel is very charming, and the afternoon tea in the courtyard is very comfortable. It can be said to be the first choice for visiting Avignon.

The location is a little bit from the train station, it takes 20 minutes to walk.
Really close to the church
But it feels like Mercure is everywhere, be careful what goes wrong.

The old rooms and facilities are worth seeing and very stylish, our room had a great view. Our room was one of the most beautiful in which we have stayed in Europe. However, the service leaves a lot to wish, especially for the price of the night. We spent two next people here, had to search employees several times every evening to give up our orders in the bar and then had to do with unfriendly and unmotivated staff. Cocktails were good, food in the bar - again for the price and the hotel category - miserable. But the rooms and old sofas of the bar are worth a visit. The choice of breakfast is just appropriate once you have looked through the chic presentation of the buffet and the quality is not noticeable. However, the breakfast room is again impressive and moodful. The hotel is overlooking by external tourists at the daily afternoon tea, so you can luckyly have a table as a guest, but then there was only a limited selection of the cook menu on both days, Because everything was already sold out and that was not only at a late time. And here too you can wait for an everlasting service! Rooms were very well maintained, also friendly and helpful room girls. More than one night we would not recommend here, but well suited for a visit to the Pastor. Require the route plan before arrival, it is very helpful and urgently necessary for the tight one-way routes of the old town! But this is a good way for the route.

Everything is very good at the hotel, the decoration and sanitary conditions are not bad, but there are big problems at the front desk of the hotel. Not all front desk staff, but a thin middle-aged man on duty between 10pm and 11pm at the front desk was very rude. When he returned to the hotel at about 10pm on January 7, 2022, he found the door closed and rang the bell, but there was no one at the front desk. So I pressed the bell a few times, and after a while the tall, middle-aged man on duty came to the door and yelled at me as a customer, then argued with me and accused me of ringing the bell as a customer almost woke the hotel (After telling another front desk staffer the next day, the staff said the ringing was displayed on the phone with the front desk and staff, and strangely, the staff member didn't hear me through the phone while ringing last night Wait a minute, so I rang the bell a few more times). I was uncomfortable expressing the staff's attitude and the yelling seemed to be treating a madman, who replied, ”Yes, it's treating a madman.” In summary, it is not so simple to ring the bell. The professional accomplishment of the staff, and the waiting for people to receive things, obviously do not meet the needs of the hotel staff, and the face of different guests obviously feel racial discrimination, have complained, Waiting for a response from the hotel. Think twice about booking this hotel, and meeting the thin high school man can be extremely uncomfortable.

This hotel is located within the city walls pedestrianise area but is assessable by car as the entrance to the car park from the main road. Very close to all major tourist location. The bed is comfortable with a decent shower pressure. The breakfast is good with a good variety of hot and cold food selections.

Cost-effective, travel alone is also recommended, the front desk is good.
Because I booked for one night, but I also needed to stay in Interlaken for most of the night the next day. I was worried about the luggage problem. The front desk was very refreshing and let it be stored. Breakfast is average, but cost-effective, generally recommended

BBuerderenA very special hotel, the Cardinal's private house 600 years ago, was purchased by the current family more than 100 years ago and opened as a hotel after being renovated.
There are 5 all-suite hotels, a restaurant and two living rooms on the first floor, full of modern art decoration, everywhere show the taste of the owner. The room is biased towards classical and natural style. The room is large. There is a small room to put luggage at the door. The wash basin is a large iron shell. The bathtub is very deep and it is very comfortable to sit down.
The garden is very large, known as the largest private garden in Avignon, with hundreds of years of eucalyptus trees, palms, a small bamboo forest, and even a goldfish pond. When the wind blows, the sound of the tree makes people fascinated. On one side of the garden is a small but delicate swimming pool surrounded by flowers and trees.
The hotel does not provide lunch and dinner, but it is very close to the city center and it is very convenient to go out to eat. There are not many breakfast options, but the quality is very good. The bread is organic cereal, fresh and delicious, you can call it an omelette or scrambled eggs.
This hotel is definitely the first choice for Avignon, you can experience the pure French style.

GGuest UserSo well located in the heart of the town, a two room apartment in an old monastery building which has been redone, and what an interior interesting decoration Michele has placed. We spent one night and did not have breakfast, although generously offered. Parking is 2 minutes away, very convenient. Certainly worth staying there.

陈陈The hotel is in a small city with the most beautiful trip this time. The whole city only needs to be walked. You can enjoy the rich ancient architecture scenery around, and friendly customs. Good restaurants are all around. There are few bars and very lively, everywhere. It is a beautiful view, the air is particularly good, and the moonlight is beautiful at night. The hotel is a 400-year-old building. A small hotel is directly built and connected. It also has many years of history. I like these poplars, pine trees, etc., looking at the inner garden. It’s also very comfortable, and I also feel why the French can read a book on a sun lounger and drink a cup of coffee. It’s a day. When it comes to the beautiful breakfast environment, looking at the landscape through the glass, it is also a European-style breakfast. The quality is also available. , The room is very special, first is a cloakroom and toilet, and then into a bathroom, the bed and a sofa, the sofa is English style, very comfortable, the terrace is a glass door, there are windows separated by adjustable size switch, Very satisfied, come again if you have a chance, I will also recommend this hotel

GGuest UserThis was my second time to stay at Hotel Boquier in beautiful Avignon. It is a charming boutique hotel in an old building located about a five-minute walk from the train station in one direction and also an easy to walk to all of the main sites. I chose to stay there a second time because Frederic and the staff are so kind, attentive, and meticulous. They are very helpful and take wonderful care of you. The rooms are kept clean and well maintained, and the breakfast room is well-stocked and provides a pleasant, cozy place to eat in the morning. I also love their house cats in the lobby and the pleasant conversations each day. I highly recommend the Hotel Boquier.

I love this hotel. It was exceptional. I got sick during my trip. We got to Avignon late in evening and took some medicine on an empty stomach. I immediately started feeling a terrible anxiety, so I went downstairs to the lobby and ask for some yogurt to Philippe, the receptionist. He immediately gave me some and apple sauce. I started feeling so much better after eating that. Thank you so much to him!!!! Elizabeth is also great. She speaks several languages and I was able to practice my language skills with her. The room was super clean, same with bathrooms. They cleaned them every day. I read the bad review from that lady and the room smelling like smoke. This lady sounds like what we in the United States call a Karen. Yes, that lady is a real Karen. What an embarrassment. I would say to her to treat others the way she wants to be treated. If I had been the hotel owner, I had called the police to had taken her away from my property. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel, and breakfast was amazing!!!! If I ever go back to Avignon, I’ll stay there again for sure

GGuest UserSmall room, which was probably dependent on the type of room booked, the description was so drastic but not to draw where practically only bed took the room and between bed and wall at the foot you just passed through. No cups or glasses in the room, the pipe water (no bottle of water for the guest) had to be taken directly from the hand! at the washing basin. The bathroom was clean and completely OK. But the wacky door to the room was unappetitely old-flecky. The lift was terribly old and you were afraid to stay sticked. The breakfast room was very nice, but when 2 more guests came to us, they had to set up new coffee for them because the cane was empty, which took, also the few plates of salami and cheese had almost eaten from us - the poor guests after us. The evening before we wanted to take dinner in this moodful room, which wasn't going, just in another restaurant room (also ok, but not so beautiful), but the next evening we saw guests at the big beautiful fireplace in the “breaking room” eat there.. I find that without explanation a bad service. in the early evening.
Because of the lift and lack of comfort in the room, I would book somewhere else at the next trip despite the location directly at the Pope Palace.

KKat SI had a wonderful time at Hotel Mignon over my 6 night stay! The hotel is very conveniently located by the Avignon Centre and Avignon TGV train stations, making day trips very easy. The room was clean, beautiful, historical, and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very kind and knowledgeable, and then whole experience felt wonderful and very safe as a solo female traveler. The best option if you travel to Avignon!
