Stayed has it was booked by our tour company! When I saw our room I was literally in tears it was like a room from The Bates motel ! Painted wires bathroom from the 70’s cracked sink! Tiny room complete with blue shower curtain that l expected the old lady from the shining to be behind! The only saving grace was the roof terrace view & pool and the lovely staff up there! They do have 4* rooms although most were 2* then the cheek to have to pay a room tax of €7 ( going up to €10 next year) the area is a awful and Athens itself feels like a ghetto having travelled extensively though Greece won’t be going back to Athens ever
Excellent hotel to stay for a night or two. It’s just next to train station where train to Thessaloniki departs from. Staff is very friendly and will help you with everything. Room is pretty spacious and I was lucky enough to get a room with a tremendous terrace that had an amazing view on the little park in front of the train station, balconies of nearby buildings and mountains far far away. The only disadvantage can be probably bathroom which is pretty small and when taking a shower it’s guaranteed that most of the water will end up on the floor, but it’s a minor problem that will probably not matter for a short term stays.
I had a wonderful stay at Ariston. My first time in Athens, the staff here was very helpful. Overall clean and tidy rooms, impeccable bathroom. Regarding the reception, attentive and enlightening, they did speak a little bit of English, but with some difficulty in interpreting. The roof-deck has a beautiful view of athens and sunset! Very close to the metro and a safe area. I will definitely come back again!

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable and comfortable. The cleaning level is impecable, with all renovated; the bedroom, perhaps the best quality in which you have sleeped during the last trips; spectacular shower with three types of screw and a set of quality courtesy in the bathroom (champu, shower gel and shoes); from my room on the sixth floor had direct views of Licabeto and Partenón ... The receptionist, Katarina, incredibly professional and friendly, with an incredible level of English. I would also like to point out that the area is not at all problematic as other readers have pointed out, at least for me: it is not much less than the Raval of Barcelona and, at the trat**** of quite broad streets, I found minimal sensation insecurity; it is also in a very practical area from which you can access the center (Sintagma, Monastiraki, Acropolis ...) walk without any problem: it's a 20-minute walk as much as I personally find very pleasant. It is also very close to the Larissa train station, from which you can access the airport directly with very frequent trains. All right, excellent: ¡ja I'm willing to return and I recommend it 100%!
New city hotel with very small rooms, which is also unfair with refrigerator and desk. A closet door is not open because air conditioning is hanging before it. The bathroom is mini and there is no hacks to hang the towels, there is no tooth cleaning cup and the wifi breaks constantly. Breakfast is OK, though not overwhelming. Coffee good ... Osaft some chemical sugar liquid with color. All very personal. In the description are parking places in the hotel, but are only public and we were lucky to have found a small place in front of the hotel with our motorcycle. The receptionist was friendly, but worked as scheduled. She empty her text from breakfast times, wifi... down and when we asked where the hotel's parking was asked her if we had a big car ... we stood in the motorcycle clothes before her 🤷🏼♀️ The next morning we were without a Good morning from a new lady at the reception in an impossible tone welcomed with “Room Number”, impossible to let someone go on guests, especially as her appearance was very unpleasant and flanking over with open hair at breakfast buffet Without seeing that almost everything was filled, I felt unspoken. If breakfast goes until 9:30 it can't be that at 9:00 it's already empty.
It was already around 9:30 pm when I arrived at the apartment. I contacted the staff through the SMS and I almost immediately got a reply and entered the apartment smoothly. The staff kindly recommended us the food near the apartment ~
Great location however let down with the lack of common communication skills. The ‘virtual agent’ was extremely abrupt and rude. Please be aware that once making a reservation you will not receive the services that you come to expect from your‘virtual agent’ Rather name a reservation at a Hotel for nearby.

GGuest UserThe dormitory is large and the environment is good. The service is particularly thoughtful. The facilities are complete. It feels very good to live. The Trip.com platform is reliable. It is worth booking. The address is also very convenient in the city center. It is still very satisfactory.
GGuest UserI never wanted to write a negative review for this beautiful hotel with Sofia and Dora being such lovely impeccable professionals! But there’s the old guy also from the front reception that has been extremely rude, unhygienic and has been stepping on me! He clearly has issues with me. When he came into my room on my last visit; to check the air condition unit, he was coughing and gagging so hard and loudly without a mask and he did not even bother to cover his mouth. I didn’t know if it was deliberate or not because he faced me directly when he did that! When I went down today to pay for my room, he started coughing again without a mask and he didn’t bother to at least cover his mouth; instead he just let it go full face, I didn’t say anything as not to offend him. But! During my payment, I stifled a sneeze ever so slightly and he went berserk on me! Started shouting at the top of his voice about why I have to sneeze and accuse me of sneezing earlier when he was smoking at the entrance of the Hotel. I tried to pacify him by saying excuse me but probably the cigarette smoke got to me as I am a non smoker; still, he continued with his tirade. The more I remained quiet, the more agitated and angry he became! I left the reception when he escalated to calling me: “A SICK COVID PATIENT”!?! How ludicrous and preposterous can this be!!? He clearly has anger management issues because even when I ask him on my last visit where to throw the garbage, he rudely ordered me in the most condescending shrill tone to “get out of the hotel and throw it outside”! When he returned me the change today, he ordered me to keep the change for tomorrow’s payment and not use it. He’s tired of changing for me! What an obnoxious character he is! I am getting very tired of his antics and anger management issues! He should never be in the Hospitality Business. He is rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and extremely aggressive! For what it was worth: GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH!!!
