What a wonderfully welcoming hotel and staff on the final leg of our trip in Athens. We enjoy staying at unique boutique hotels in general and Estia was a great host. We were greeted by super hospitable front staff who were very helpful the entire 3 days with recommendations, helping arrange early morning transportation and even providing us with to-go breakfast boxes as we had 2 early mornings. Their complimentary breakfast is home-made right on site and was tasty tasty. The room was really clean and nicely appointed and had everything we needed. It was the end of our trip and we often clean our close in the room as we go, so we recommend the upgrade to higher floor and balcony as it had laundry drying area. Full disclosure (and after coming in from the mountains of Delphi) the neighborhood at first was a bit jarring a transition with graffiti etc. But as we found, it's just in a good working class neighborhood and we ended up walking most places and felt completely safe. There is a little mini-mart just down the block that was very convenient for grabbing things on the go at the beginning and end of the day. The woman owner was delightful there and we practiced our Greek with her, with many smiles. Highly recommend this unique gem of a hotel!

From check-in to check-out, Loom Athens is a stunner! The design of everything is gorgeous - from the pottery at breakfast to the staircases to the bathroom tile. I fell in love with the color palettes and vibes the second we stepped foot inside. All of this aside - the hotel provided excellent service, communicating quickly via email when needed, pouring us gorgeous coffees and serving biscuits when we arrived before check-in, and more. Our room was so comfortable - luxe bedding, big bathrooms, air con. The location is in a great neighborhood with so many cool bars, cafes, and shops nearby. It is also located near a Metro station, on the airport line. VERY convenient! I would love to stay at Loom again and highly recommend it to other travelers!
Keramos Athens

Kerameikos
Keramos was beautiful, comfortable, and the price is super reasonable for the room offered. In fact, we had essentially a one bedroom apartment with 2 private bathrooms, a full kitchen, and even a combination washer-dryer, which came in super handy. Self-check in was easy and convenient as we arrived to Athens on a late ferry. The apartment was beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished, with direct access to an outdoor terrace and a good amount of extra bedding and towels for convenience. It was really nice to have such a spacious and comfortable place to come back to after tiring days of walking around and sight-seeing. Additionally, there are a number of great restaurants, bars, and boutiques in the neighborhood, which is only a 10-15 drive to the Acropolis and even closer to a number of other ancient sites and monuments. Next time I am in Athens I will definitely be staying at Keramos.
