Positive: - Very clean with a/c and nice aroma around the hotel. - Breakfast was good which is on the rooftop with lovely views of the acropolis. - Staff were friendly. - Location is good which includes a metro station nearby. - The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. - Good value for money Negatives: - Pool on rooftop is nice but can get busy/crowded. - They provide early breakfast between 2am - 7am for those with early starts but the options are terrible.

The hotel is located in the Syntagma Square area, with very convenient transportation. It is located in the center of Athens, surrounded by shopping, supermarkets, and dining facilities. The Acropolis can also be seen directly from the restaurant on the 10th floor. Whether in the morning or at night, the scenery is beautiful and it is recommended to stay.

This is an amazing hotel with an amazing staff. We were greeted and assisted with everything upon our arrival (check-in, bags, etc.) and everyone was very hospitable. The rooms are comfortable and are always clean. We did not use the rooftop pool, but the views were stunning from there (we could see the Acropolis), where they also have a restaurant and a bar. We ate at the restaurant and hung out at the bar some nights which was nice (good food and drinks), but be prepared to pay top hotel prices. The location of the hotel is convenient - it is right across from Syntagma Square, a popular meeting place for many scheduled activities. We also felt we could easily access surrounding neighborhoods, restaurants, and bars by walking from the hotel. Overall a great place to stay!

This is our 2nd stay at Electra Palace Hotel in Athens. Our experience, just like the first time, was not disappointing. All the staff at the hotel are extremely professional, and they didn't disappoint with the high quality of service rendered. We were particularly impressed at the check-in, which was done in less than 1 min. They just pulled up our details on their files, gave us the check-in paper to sign, and away we went to our room. We asked for the same room 324 that we stayed on our first visit, and they happily obliged us. I love the fact that the hotel pays attention to every little request from its customers. I booked this hotel because it was very close to the Acropolis. When I arrived, I found that it was indeed very close, and it only took five minutes to walk there. There is nothing much to say about the hotel itself. The service attitude was very good, the room was very clean, and slippers and toiletries were provided. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the countertops were all marble. The room was a bit small, but there was a balcony with a view of the Acropolis. There is a place to eat downstairs. If you walk towards the Acropolis, there is also a tourist street over there with more people and more lively. The sound insulation of the balcony windows and doors was okay. But what was unpleasant was that there were many people outside drinking, watching the game and singing that day, and they didn't leave until one o'clock in the middle of the night. I don't know if this is normal.

The room we stayed in was very large and beautiful. The staff was friendly and readily available around the clock. We stayed in a room with an acropolis view and it was nice to hang out on the balcony and look out after sunset. This hotel is very accessible to most things and the bus stop is right across the street in case you want to wander a little further. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby walking distance with late hours. There are a few major shopping streets right around the corner as well. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Athens in the future.

Hotel is OK. '5 star' in the sense it has all of the amenities required by the city to make it a 5 star but this is not a 5 star in terms of service, modern facilities etc. If you are expecting a 4 star, it is good for the price paid. Pros - roof terrace, bedrooms have quality furnishings, bathroom well appointed Cons - breakfast is like feeding time at the zoo, with very little in terms of variety, fresh fruit etc. Air conditioning barely works. They say it is by design - it is actually because the air con was installed in the 80s probably and has never had the gas changed I suspect. They do not like using the outdoor seating on the roof terrace restaurant side at breakfast. No idea why. Perhaps was just the time of year I was there. 'Gym' is down the block. Literally you have to leave the hotel and walk down a road to use it. Anyway - decent value, would stay again, but you need to know what you are getting.

Everything was perfect in this well located hotel. We travelled with a dog and they were very accommodating. The room was very comfortable, clean and with full amenities. We will definitely return soon!

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, equipped with all necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The rooftop pool and bar were definite highlights. The staff were welcoming, contributing to the overall high standard of hospitality.

I was concerned about our two day stay after reading some negative reviews but I had a completely opposite experience. It is a large hotel that has some big groups but they offered very personalized service and took pride in their hotel. Every single person from the doorman to the desk to the cleaner were really friendly and seemed happy to have us there. The location is perfect for exploring the heart of Athens, it is very walkable to the pedestrian area, the Plaka neighborhood and the environs of Athens. I had not even known about the Plaka, but it was at the suggestion of the doorman. The rooms were nice sized and clean, the balcony is small and our room overlooked the garden and the pool. The pool looked very clean and though we didn't use it , it was being enjoyed by others. We did go up to the rooftop where there was a restaurant to see the Acropolis, which you could see from the roof, not from our room at least. We didn't have the food or drinks there and you can't sit and see the Acropolis from there, you have to stand to be able to see the Acropolis, so impressive when lit up. The breakfast was ample and varied and the coffee was delicious. it is in the lower area of the hotel, where they actually had found some ancient ruins which have been preserved, so that is cool, too. I would definitely give my recommendation to this hotel.
