excellent location at JR station and town centra Aeon Mall; bus terminus just at the entrance making extra convenience to Asahiyama zoo and AKJ airport !

The hotel is huge with many tourists.There were queues at the front desk and for the elevators. The hotel is located in the city center of Asahikawa. There are restaurants and gift shops inside the hotel. The hotel provides parking with fees.

I’m very surprised by the relatively low rating of this hotel. We had a very good experience here, and found the room to be spacious and comfortable (though fairly typical old-school Japanese hotel). Service was good overall and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the best part of Asahikawa, near the main train station and the very cool and fun shopping street. The hotel also has an outdoor parking lot located immediately behind the hotel. Our only hiccup was that we arrived slightly before the 1500 check in time (we arrived at 1440) and were told we had to wait until exactly 1500 to check in. This is Japan and I appreciate being a stickler for the rules, but sometimes good customer service is about making calculated exceptions. Maybe next time. We would certainly recommend this place to others.

I originally liked route inn the most in the business hotel chain. If you are traveling alone, you don't have to be so careful. Japan is grateful that clean business hotels are developing to medium-sized cities. However, in Honshu, route-in is often difficult to use by rail (car location), but in Hokkaido, route-in is often in front of the station, so it is easy to use. When you leave Asahikawa Station, which creates a comfortable space with plenty of trees, you can't get lost because the route in front of Grand Asahikawa Station rises in front of you. On the left side of the station, there is also an AEON MALL equipped with a cinema complex, so you can enjoy buying souvenirs, buying travel supplies, and watching road show movies on your travels. The good thing about the route inn is that you can watch paid satellite broadcast WOWOW for free on the TV in the room. The front desk is on the 3rd floor. It is not open 24 hours on the first floor (business hours 7:00 ～ 22:00, closed on January 1), but there is a convenience store ”Seiko Mart” with many supporters in Hokkaido. The lobby on the front floor is very large. After checking out, I adjusted the time here because I had a little time to get on the train. Isn't it convenient to meet in Asahikawa, which is exceptionally cold in winter? People may have different tastes, but I can sleep well in the route-in bed. I think it's because it's not fluffy. It depends on the location of the room, but from the room I stayed, I could see the train departing and arriving at Asahikawa Station. There is Tenjinkyo natural hot spring ”Traveler's Hot Spring” on the 17th floor of the top floor. The big bath stretches your legs and heals the fatigue of the trip. I entered twice at night and in the morning. The hotel has a large communal bath of another major hotel chain in Hokkaido, and the rooms have only a r shower booth, but it is also good to have a bathroom with a bathtub properly. It's not a special luxury hotel, but I think it's the best hotel as a business hotel. I think it can be used for business, sightseeing and multipurpose purposes. Next time, if you have a chance to come to Asahikawa, this is the hotel you want to choose first.

One of the best hotel we stay during our trip! Great relax area with manga and ice creams. There’s yakult in the morning too. Room is big and comfortable. We will come back for sure. Good breakfast!

There is also a ramen restaurant opposite the hotel with a high rating, but it closes early. You can go to Asahikawa Station to shop for AEON after your trip at night. Montbell has many styles and low prices. Facilities: There are only three washing machines and dryers on the first floor. There are many Korean and Chinese tour groups coming to the hotel. Use the hot springs during off-peak hours otherwise there will be too many people. Breakfast: The breakfast includes seafood rice, ramen, and bread, which taste good, but you need to eat later, otherwise there will be too many tour groups and the queue will be long.

The room is old, not clean, and the outside of the window is the wall of the next building. It was a room with an extra bed (total ３ floor) set in a large double (there was an explanation from the hotel side at check-in), and it was difficult to walk in the room, and it felt narrow. A little arrangement in the room? Some places, but there were old but necessary things, and there was no inconvenience. I thought it was a general commercial business hotel, not for resort travel in Hokkaido.
