Ketchikan Apartments

My 13yo daughter and I planned a trip to Ketchikan, AK that included 5 nights at a wilderness cabin on a lake in the Misty Fjords National Monument in the Tongas National Forest with two nights on the front end and two nights on the back end at the Gilmore Hotel in Ketchikan. From when we first started planning our trip and booking our rooms from North Carolina to the time we left the hotel to catch our afternoon flight home, our experience with the Gilmore Hotel management and staff was nothing less than superb! Anthe, the manager, is the most professional, courteous, kind, accommodating and genuinely caring lady I have ever met or had the pleasure of doing business with. And it was crystal clear that she takes care to hire, train and surround herself with people of the same character. Everyone there made us feel very comfortable, safe and welcomed. I am certain that our stay at the Gilmore and how well we were treated was the reason my daughter told me that when she’s old enough, she wants to come back to Ketchikan and live / work there because everyone was so nice! The property and rooms were super well kept, clean and cozy and safe with a charming atmosphere. All making me want to come back. But above all were the people, Anthe, John, Caleb, Tanya and everyone else….. and yes, you too, sweet Lola, that made for an exceptional stay. You will not find nicer people anywhere and it is not hyperbole when I say that world would be a so much better place if there were more people like Anthe and her staff in it.
