Titanic Mardan Palace

We just spent 2 weeks staying at The Titanic Mardan. We arrived pretty late due to flight delay but check in was extremely smooth and luggage was in our room very quickly. The entrance to the hotel as you drive up and walk in is all very grand- almost like you are on the Titanic! On the first day we had breakfast at the buffet. Lots of selection to choose from. Language in general around the hotel can be a bit tricky. We were a little late on the first day hitting the pool (around 10am) and most sun beds had gone. For remainder of our stay we were up much earlier but you need to be securing sun beds prior to 8am. Cabanas are available to rent which we did for a day. Was nice to have our own space but it was too hot to eat in there and thus we decided to head to bistro for lunch and air con. If you hire for more than 2 days I think you get a discount. On our 2nd day, the girls wanted to get their hair braided. Please don’t give in on this, it is the biggest rip off onsite. When we asked the day before we were told euros 20 each but when the girls had it done, he automatically put 2 braids in my first daughter’s hair but my other daughter only wanted one. He then said it would be euros 60 for the 3 braids. When I argued the point at what he had advised the day before, he said it was euros 20 per braid. The worst part is that it came out in less than a week. The beach isnt the best but we liked to chill down there late afternoon and kids enjoyed the sea although some days the sea was rather choppy. Kids club was good. We didn’t leave our kids there but they enjoyed some of the activities and the games they had there and was nice to get into the aircon for a bit. As an all inclusive hotel it was great for most part. Food was good and they had a huge selection in the buffet restaurant. The bistro food was delicious although a little limited on choice. Whilst we enjoyed the food, it was a bit monotonous for 2 weeks eating in the same restaurant and wanted a different view. We were reluctant to pay to go to other restaurants onsite as at 50 euros a head for an adult and 25 for child at the steak restaurant, you are basically paying for your meal again when it’s already paid for within your all inclusive. Our kids don’t eat much either so 25 euros was a bit steep. The Italian was slightly cheaper. However, they did offer the Italian for free one night which we went to. the starters and desert was delicious but the mains were nothing to write home about. Again, kids selection was extremely limited and they didn’t even do a pizza. I must however, give a huge shout out to all the staff on the restaurants. They are constantly on the go and do a fantastic job. One waiter in Bosphorois, Cuma, was particularly outstanding. He always greeted us with a huge smile and ensure we had a table and very attentive. He was especially great with our special needs son too. I really liked this hotel , you can’t complain for this price , probably one of the best I ever stayed . Won’t be disappointed

The hotel is beautiful, imposing and large. Despite its size, it felt relaxed and the service was excellent - the pool never felt crowded. The positives - great staff, food (and drinks) communal areas, entertainment, the spa and the pool. My son also had a football training session which was good but difficult in the heat (60 euros an hour). Shout out to Naci in The (24hr) bistro for quiet but brilliant service. Downsides, you are in the middle of nowhere so it’s 40mins to Antalya town or 20mins in a taxi to the local shops. The rooms are a good size - we stayed in a family room with adjoining bedrooms - and it worked well - decor felt more 4 star than 5. Sun beds - we never used them as we were always too late - it looks like there aren’t enough for all guests so you then get a Cabana. The waterpark is a disappointment- and not suitable for older kids. Would we go back? - absolutely!
