Internet problems were unacceptable! Unreliable internet! Neither bedside lamp worked. Plugs next to beds were so tired/loose that cell phone chargers would not work on one side of the bed and had to be plugged in across the room (not unusual for built-in outlets in headboards in hotels, sadly). To call these ”suites” while possibly legally accurate, seemed quite an exaggeration in my humble opinion - yes, they included a microwave, fridge, silverware, dishes, and a two-burner stove installed in the very same hallway entry area of any typical (smaller) hotel room -- but no extra sitting area that you would expect of a ”suite” designation or as is common in a Home2 Suites hotel (think typical hotel room with 4-foot counter-top-area wth kitchen cabinets for dishes, stove, a 5-foot tall junior-sized fridge), installed in any hotel room you've ever stayed in before. If you don't ask for housekeeping BEFORE 9 a.m., they refuse to provide it that day! Seemed arbitrary. Similarly, Breakfast is from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. hard stop. .The staff was generally disinterested, dismissive, and unhelpful (with a few exceptions). I asked a housekeeper for something small, and the response was: ”no.” Surprising response in a Marriott. I write these reviews more for myself so I know which hotels I've stayed at in an area and which ones to avoid in the future. I will not stay at this property again -- there are many lower-priced options in the area, and this was the MOST expensive hotel of them all. I expected more from a Marriott, and certainly from the most expensive hotel in the area -- which was why I chose it, hoping for an ”elevated” experience on a two-day trip with family.

We have been staying at this location for many years, and have found the cleanliness and staff to be consistently dependable. The check-in process went smoothly and efficiently. Our room was clean and comfortable, well stocked with clean towels. Breakfast is what we expected from an HGI - not 5 star, but we didn't leave hungry. We spent three nights, and each morning, Judit greeted us with a smile and pleasant conversation in the breakfast area. She was efficient, and provided everything we needed, an absolute delight! Any questions or concerns we may have had were handled quickly by the ever-smiling front-desk personnel. In particular, Paola, was very helpful and friendly. We did notice that the lobby and breakfast areas are looking tired, and the furniture is showing some wear. However, we did see new furniture in the pool area, so maybe the lobby/breakfast areas are schedule for refurbishing, as well. The hotel's location is great - right off of I-75 and within walking distance to many good restaurants and shopping. We look forward to returning next year.

I enjoyed this hotel for its spaciousness and it's bathtub. So many hotels now don't provide bathtubs and I'm just not a shower girl. We could not find an ice machine. The rooms are suites with a full refrigerator in them. However our ice in the fridge was turned off, so it took a long while to get any ice. When we got in our room, it was freezing inside. I had to sit on the couch with my jacket on and the extra blanket on me to get warm. It finally warmed up.

Very disappointing for a full service Hilton. Tried to call for over an hour prior to arrival with no answer. Check in was routine. Came down for dinner and we were informed they were short staffed. All servers acted angry. Out of baked potatoes, at 6pm on a Friday poor service. Next morning no staff so had to eat in lounge with limited staff again. Same situation Poor service and angry acting staff. Tried to order Saturday evening, waited one hour for to go order. Room was ok. Nothing worth the cost per night. We left next morning and elected to get breakfast elsewhere.

GREAT SERVICE, GREAT LOCATION… After having the WORSE experience in the Hampton Inn few minutes before from the one at downtown Gainesville . This one change the bad experience into a Great one as normal Hilton experience, when we arrived the front desk attendant was VERY Welcoming with a smile and Super nice…. After me asking for a room she immediately asked if we were Hilton Honor Members and we told her YES..We were VERY tired and Very happy we found this Hotel…In the morning after having a Great breakfast (fresh and great taste). At checkout the front desk attendant was VERY Nice with a smile.. We are definitely coming back to this location..LOVE THE EXPERIENCE….

This was a one night stay in Gainesville that was made even better by the convenient location just off the Interstate. I was lucky enough to get an upgraded room on the top floor with a balcony. The room itself was large, well designed and lacking any signs of wear. The bathroom was spacious and well designed except for the height of the rack of dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and conditioner. Whoever installed that rack was clearly over six feet tall and I was left having to stretch to reach them. Sound funny? It wasn't!

There are two supermarkets such as target on the side of the hotel, including McDonald's, a Vietnamese restaurant and several American restaurants. Opposite the hotel is the school gate near the business school. The hotel is quite quiet and the stay is quite satisfactory. . . . . .

Great service. Had to call a few times because of noise above us at 1100pm. Also the pool was freezing. Needed a heater. Hot Breakfast bar was amazing with great service.
