Romantic Hotels in Aizuwakamatsu

Stayed two nights in the traditional tatami room. Nightly kaiseki (set menu) with wonderful variety of local dishes. The hotels two main features include the beautiful hotel lobby with the water flowing through and the nightly Shamisen performance. The second is their Onsen with those brave enough in winter to venture to both the outdoor Onsen, it’s well worth frozen toes

I stayed overnight in a very compact but also very practical room with everything I needed. The space was well-designed with a good-sized desk which had three powerpoints above it (yay! doesn't happen everywhere), so easy to plug in tablet and accessories, and also charge phone and camera battery. Small fridge and tv, humidifier, electric jug, nighshirt and complimentary slilppers. Lovely ceramic tea mugs. I did find the waste bins a little small (no recycling but that's often the case in Japanese hotels). Wi fi worked well, and there was a radio. The comfortable bed had a nice flat pillow and lighting console conveniently placed. The bathroom was small but there was a good deep bath. Interesting city and mountain views from the room. The hotel lobby was attractively decorated. The location was conveniently close to the JR Station as well as eateries and some shops. Good value, and would stay again.

We visited Aizuwakamatsu at the national holiday weekend so there were limited options to us in this famous onsen town, Hagishiyama. We wanted a more modern hotel, and while the shots of the room look good on their website, the reality is that it is much smaller than I had expected. Though the room looked new, the bathroom was a disappointment, small and shabby. With two large beds in the room, that leaves little space for moving around. And they try hard to squeeze all essential items of an onsen hotel room into the smallest space possible, including placing the vanity unit in the living room opposite the sleeping platform, sharing space with a kettle and drinking water glasses. There is a shoe stand and a folding screen in-between the toilet and bathroom, which is hugely strange and inconvenient. Ours is a 12-tatami room, which I expect would be good for 3 people, but the reality is that it is so cramped that one would not want to spend much time in the room. Perhaps that’s the reason why the hotel provided a lot of public sitting areas. Yes, for guests to admire the magnificent view of the mountain stream, but also to stay out of the uncomfortable room. The room was a huge disappointment but there are some nice sides of the hotel. Dinner was really good; we had window seats facing the waterfall and the Aizu beef was very delicious. The public onsets, especially the outdoor ones, are nice, situated just next to the mountain stream. All in all, for the US680 I paid for three, it was not good value for money.

It is located along the main street and can be seen from afar, so you can see it immediately. It takes 15 ～ 20 minutes to walk from the station of Aizu Wakamatsu, so it is the best hotel for people who use cars more than trains. It is very convenient to go to Mt. iimori, kamagaga Jo castle and shichikamachi station street within 10 minutes by car. Parking at the cherry blossoms You can park about 90 cars for free, but the parking width is narrow, so it is less 々 tight for large cars (3 number cars). When large cars are next to each other, you need to be careful about the door at the time of boarding and boarding. The breakfast was relatively satisfactory (but orange juice was not 100% juice). It was a twin room, but it is spacious for a business hotel. There is an air cleaner. There is no USB and there are only two outlets attached to the desk (there is no outlet around the bed), so it is inconvenient to charge this or this. It is better to take a tap with multiple mouths. There is a large bath in the bath 1F. There were 6 washing places for men and 5 ～ 6 people in the bathtub. The large bath for women seems to be a washroom for 4 people. There were also 2 coin laundry in the dressing room. The front desk was very kind and polite. The beer of 350 ml of the vending machine (the most squeezed) is 250 yen and conscientious. Also, the exclusive coin received at the front desk at check-in can be used for a soft drink vending machine. I feel like I got something. A few minutes walk (along the main street) is the supermarket ”Lion Doll”.

A hot spring hotel with a very high cost performance ratio. It is located halfway up the mountain. The scenery outside the window is very good. You can overlook the entire city while taking a bath. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the nearby bus station. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from the Aizuwakamatsu train station, but reservations must be made in advance and it is a fixed time period. The service is very good. I stayed for two days and needed to change a hotel on the third day. When I checked out of Onyado Toho, the front desk guy was very enthusiastic and asked their shuttle bus to take me to another hotel for free. It was super considerate. The breakfast and dinner were very rich and very fresh. The price was very cost-effective and the experience was great

Great hotel located next to Aizuwakamatsu Station. It’s a great location for being a base to visit all the attractions and great restaurants around the area. It’s a standard Toyoko Inn Japanese business hotel with basic amenities. Room wise it was definitely above average but it’s a bit on the old side. The bed and pillow was comfortable. Great water pressure too. The room came with breakfast so we managed to have a go just before they close up (pretty early at 9am). The food was basic but tasted really good. They also provide a common washer and dryer which was very useful for us travellers. Would definitely consider it as it’s a good budget, centrally located and comfortable.

Only breakfast was not dinner, twin, and I had one person to use. The best thing was that I could have two baths in Chiyo waterfall and four baths in the new waterfall of the sister hall. The Chiyo Taki view bath can be seen in Aizu Wakamatsu City, and there is a bath to listen to the flow of the river, and the degree of fulfillment is quite high. The room was also a twin and a room with a large amount of one person. There was also a calm free drink space such as coffee, tea and sake at once. Breakfast was buffet style, there was also a local food dish, and it was very good with a menu that was not overrun on the street. It was a plan without dinner, but it is not difficult to eat at a local shop because it can be done in about 10 minutes by car to Aizu Wakamatsu city. It was an inn that I wanted to go again. I think this price is really good for this quality. I stayed at ashinomaki Onsen the next day, but it is an inn that makes me think I should have stayed here for a long time.

Tajima when I noticed that I went to Akagi by solo bike touring (wandering). Decided here at the cheapest in Higashiyama Onsen on a famous travel site. Ashinomaki Onsen is closer, but it is difficult to secure meals in ashinomaki Onsen hot spring in the night before. Higashiyama Onsen is adjacent to the city, so it runs to Higashiyama Onsen hot spring to be troubled. The entrance of the hot spring was remembered immediately, but the location of the hotel? I found a sign with a ”moon light” at the entrance of the hot spring town, but even if I looked around, there was no signboard. It is far ahead when searching on the net again. If you put out a corner signboard, you want to display the abbreviation and distance. Yes. Check-in is smooth even in the net reservation just before. It was around 20 o'clock to dinner without seeing the room, but it was difficult to reach the ramen shop that searched again and found it was a corner in the downtown area, and it was difficult to reach even if the road guide search was done. The 550 yen soy sauce taste ramen was swallowed with an excellent product contrary to the price. I went to the city by motorcycle, so I couldn't drink and returned to the hotel. The parking lot across the road is unpaved, but it is safe to have a place without anxiety even in the motorcycle stand. The room is a hall with 16 tatami mats, and it is clear that it is ”out of the room” even if it looks at the facility from the price, but the bus is also a retro addition of the toilet. It was probably the cause of the ”inuki” that caused the worry of Nabe. The cleaning was well done and I was able to stretch my limbs and spend comfortably. Even if you don't go to the series bath, it is comfortable if the bath of the facility is empty. I think the amenities were substantial. It was a pity that the breakfast that others praised was omitted in relation to the plan. It is recommended for those who want to relax or disguise without entering the inn, and to make a trip to spread knowledge greedily. I can see that the price is suppressed and you can do it yourself, but you will not become poor, but I agree with it all. If you have another chance, I will consider using it.
