The pool is closed, and about 1/3 full of brown dirty water. It was listed as an amenity on their site, which is one reason we chose to stay there. Found out from an employee the next day that the pool has been closed since 2019. There was no soap in the bathroom, and the shower was brown along the tub. The paint was chipping and had mold in the bathtub itself. I asked for a bath mat for the tub, and they did not have one. Flies all over the room. A/C unit filters full of dirt. No response to texts for help after welcoming check-in. A second welcoming text came but never a response, so had to go to the desk 3 or 4 times. The room had no ice bucket. Had to wait hours to get an ice bucket from another room not being used. Had to ask for hand soap that was not in the room. Was handed a bunch of mini facial soap bars. The toilet seat was cracked. Barely any toilet paper was in there and no extra rolls were provided. The only positive things were the 2 ladies working there were nice and the breakfast was good. It wasn't their fault for the horrible things listed above. Hopefully they get jobs elsewhere due to the bad conditions of the Ramada. Do not go here!

First off, it was completely not listed with IHG as being under construction. The lobby is closed, and there is no common area in the lobby, minus the restaurant, which does not open until 5pm. Front desk and staff are extremely kind. That’s the whole reason for the 2 stars. In terms of room - I’m currently sitting here trying to find us a different hotel to move to. First off, we have Platinum Elite status with IHG. I completely understand upgrades are subject to availability, and the hotel is busy this weekend. However, I would have expected to be put into a room that wouldn’t typically go to a Priceline customer. Our view is all of the mechanical roof. But, I have a hard time complaining too much about it, as the windows are so dirty, you can barely see the air ducts and other roof equipment. Out of the faucet, room temperature is the only option. Cold and hot don’t work. I needed a little warm water, so used the Keurig to heat some up and - 🤢. Just gross and dirty. The floor and beds appear clean, but overall, the room is drab and disappointing. Given how filthy some parts are though, we certainly won’t be going barefoot here. Had stayed here years ago for a wedding and it was fine. If I’d known it was being renovated, I would have certainly picked somewhere else. My suggestion - pick a different hotel for your visit to Charlotte! We’re flying down for 3 more games this season, and will definitely be staying elsewhere!

They had an awesome staff. Very friendly and accommodating from checking inn to heading out the door. We had a great time staying here. The hotel night manager was exceptionally helpful when I had some friends who’s ride was giving them trouble. I really appreciated him treating them with such hospitality.

The flight was delayed and I could only stay one night near the airport. The hotel shuttle is very convenient, so remember to book in advance before catching your flight in the morning. The hotel room is large, but the sanitation and facilities are not very good, which may be due to the relatively low price.

Arrived via hotel shuttle to a hotel fire alarm. Had to wait outside of the hotel for 30 minutes. Once we were let inside, we were told they could not check us in b/c the computers were down. Came back 90 minutes later and the computers were still down. The A/C did not work our first night. The heat index was near 100 degrees that day. Upon check-in, we were told they had to go room by room and reset the A/C. We were gone for most of the day. Upon arriving back in the evening, the room temp was 77 degrees with the thermostat set at 65 degrees. Called the front desk around 10pm and they said they would have someone from maintenance come to the room to reset the unit. Waited 30 minutes & nobody came. Next morning went to the front desk and inquired about the A/C. They sent someone to reset the A/C unit in our room within 5 minutes. Not sure why they could not do it the night before.

My partner bought the room and received a pretty good deal online. Went to our room and was surprised to have a bedroom and a living room and a separated kitchenette. The place looked modern fresh and comfortable. I would say the staff was easy to work with and friendly to work with. I was a bit worried walking through the hallway, paint was noticeably patched up. I was here in the Greensboro area for job interviews, due to a great prospect and wanting me to do additional face to face interviews I had to extend my stay an additional 3 days, this put me at 08 days at the hotel. One of the hotel staff came to my room and informed me that if I was planning to stay any longer that I would have to vacate the hotel for 72 hours then I would be welcome to stay up to an additional 6 days, then I would have to check out for 72 hours once again. I asked what the reason for it was and they said it was company policy, that they are doing this because they don't want people living out of the hotel. I wish I had known this before booking the additional 3 days because I wouldn't have stayed there. They are advertising that the price of the room includes Free Breakfast, totally untrue they have had ample time to remove this statement. The reason why they are not offering breakfast is due to the Covid 19 pandemic, correct me if I'm wrong but the pandemic is over two years old.

This was a one night stay on our way down to Florida. Check in was prompt. Front desk staff were personable and friendly. The room needed updating. The rug was quite worn and looked dirty. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the hairdryer did not work. We reported this to the front desk clerk when we left. We paid $16 for breakfast for the two of us in the morning. The breakfast was fine and convenient. For $150, I would probably look for another hotel in the area instead of returning to this one, unless I found out that the hotel had been recently renovated.

I thought this was awesome. Due to COVID still rapid, it was nice to see they took EXTRA precautions to ensure Sanitation of the room and that fact that no one was able to enter the room after being cleaned. So you're guaranteed a clean, sanitized room without a question! The location is great/convenient. You're in a business area but slightly pushed back in the residential side of things. Super quiet and peaceful. Great area for walks/runs. Why a 4 star if so great? Well, the ice machine was on the first floor and I was located on the 4th. Plus the breakfast was not so great. No many options and the time Breakfast was served (could last at least until 10am). But overall I would definitely stay again, I'll just bring my own breakfast and ice bucket. Problem solved 😌 lol

The hotel was nice, and quiet, didn't hear doors slamming throughout the night like most hotels. Was told it was only 4 blocks from the convention center. Was actually like 10 blocks. Parking was a little over priced at $45. The valet never sent call links and it took 25-30 min to get our truck sometimes then they expected a tip as those links didn't seem to have any trouble getting through to my phone. Parking/valet would prob be my least favorite about the hotel. Breakfast was spot on! The staff were incredible in the breakfast area. Especially one lady I wish I had her name. My sone was getting over a chest cold and she made him a Honey Lemon Tea.

I travel a few times a year, am a Hilton Honors member, and prefer hotels within the Hilton group. But I'm always willing to try out non-Hilton hotels, too! Pros - the hotel is safe, the front desk staff (Lolly and Phil) are genuinely friendly and helpful, there is complimentary gourmet coffee in the lobby, the room was clean, and the bathroom was nice and clean and stocked with Neutrogena toiletries. The Whole Foods in the next block helped me get healthy meals I prepared with the microwave in my room. The convention center is across the street. Cons - it is easy to miss the hotel from the outside, and the complimentary breakfast is starchy! In summary, I enjoyed my stay at the Home2Suites Charlotte Uptown. It is an excellent hotel with friendly staff, and I would stay there again if I had to return to Charlotte on business.

The room itself wasn’t bad. The TV had a couple issues but was fine otherwise. I was quite disappointed in the customer service after checking out. I stayed here with my friend for his birthday, so I brought his birthday gift (hand painted canvas that had a paper note/card tucked in the back) to the room to give to him. Unfortunately, it was left there when we checked out. I called the same day (yesterday) and was told they would talk to housekeeping and call me right back. Got no call. I called again this morning at 9:30 and got transferred to housekeeping. She said she had some items to go through and would call me back to let me know if she found it. Almost 5 hours pass by and nothing, so I called back and couldn’t get through to housekeeping. I talked to someone at the front desk, explaining that this was pretty important because I spent a lot of time on the gift and apologizing for being an inconvenience. The person acted irritated and very nonchalant and then put me on hold for nearly 30 minutes while “going to talk to housekeeping.” Also said “Well if it was on a piece of paper then they probably threw it away” even after I had previously said it was a CANVAS painting. After being on hold for so long, they came on the phone and said that they looked in the room and didn’t find anything. I asked if they had looked through the items that housekeeping mentioned before and received a rude, “Yeah that’s what I said, they looked everywhere and didn’t find anything.” I could feel them rolling their eyes through the phone. They didn’t apologize or anything of the sort at the end of the phone call, which was the least that could have been done. Very unprofessional and very bad customer service.

Great! I will come to live next time. I think the facilities of this hotel are very new, the room is clean, the sound insulation effect is also good, can sleep peacefully for one night. The breakfast on the second day was also great, full and very satisfied.

We had a pleasant check in experience with Amber, but after getting settled in we noticed after the first time flushing the toilet, it did not flush and clogged right up. (With nearly nothing in it might I add) We called down to the desk to ask for someone to bring us a plunger (called more than once) and were told they would NOT bring it and we had to go down to get it. At this point my other half was already asleep as he has to get up very early to head to work in the morning (we are still checked in here at the hotel) and I had dressed down for the night and not feeling well (cramps) and was in no condition to go down either. Initially when we called, they offered to put us in a different room but I felt that was quite unnecessary and stated that just the quick use of a plunger should be sufficient. I didn’t want them to have to soil an additional room, and we didn’t want to pack all our things up, just wanted a quick toilet fix. I was very disappointed by the way the whole ordeal was handled. Where is maintenance staff to quickly assist us? I will gladly plunge it myself even! Hoping nothing else causes us disappointment in the next few hours while we are here

We stayed 2 separate nights at this hotel, once going and once coming from Florida. The first time the bathroom in our suite smelled like cigarette smoke and 2 out of 2 boxes of chocolate milk had gone bad during our breakfast. We let the hotel know and hoped for better on the way back. The second time it was sad, the sofa in the suite was ready for the dumpster and the mattresses also need replacing (me and my wife shared a bed and we sank into the middle). When we checked in I specifically asked about pool hours and the staff told us promptly that it was open from 8am to 10pm. So the next morning I get the kids up early so we can have breakfast and go for a swim only to see that the pool was temporarily closed. Needless to say we had some very disappointed kids ( which could have been avoided if the staff told me the pool was closed upon check in)…all in all 2 bad experiences and I will never ever stay here again.

Lili gave Amazing service and was super attentive. Her personality was friendly as if i known her fir a while. Every morning you will see Lili and how supportive she is of any service needed. When you need anything, just ask for Lili.........

This is an old hotel that is a little banged up around the edges. Details..the female receptionist at checkin was not especially friendly. The room itself was huge. It was pretty clean and everything worked. However be aware that this is central A/C and the windows do not open. The mini fridge has no icemaker. There is a one cup coffeemaker with only two packs provided. One of the sinks was slow to drain. Breakfast is continental from 6am to 9am, hard boiled eggs, small yogurts, bananas, waffles etc. Lobby water and coffee with real half and half was 24/7 (no lids). I did not take the shuttle (note there are somewhat reduced hours) but the rental car terminal is not even a 10 minute drive. There are some fast food places nearby. Plenty of parking although you may or may not find the luggage carts available during peak hours. The elevator is a little slow. No in room safe. Beds good, not noisy inside the room.

The space is very spacious and it is a great place to relax. As this was the first hotel I visited during my 3-week business trip, I didn't know what the quality would be like, so I initially reserved only 6 nights, but I was so satisfied that I extended the rest of my itinerary.

We stayed here for three nights this past weekend. I received an email that I could check in online, so I did. As I confirmed the check-in, a notice showed up at the bottom stating there would be no housekeeping during our stay. For the prices we paid, this is unacceptable. We own several hotels as a side business and struggle with workers being hired like anyone else, but the rooms get cleaned. Covid is no longer an excuse. This is not an extended stay style property, and guests expect daily housekeeping. We did request it once to see, and nothing happened. The hot breakfast items were cold and unappetizing. I ate there the first day and didn't bother the next two mornings because it was so bad. The front desk team is not very friendly, and two of them could barely be bothered to get up from their seat to help us when we requested more towels. One said that we could have had housekeeping service if we requested it, but we tried that and we didn't receive it. The room overall was clean when we checked in, but there were certain areas that did not receive updates, such as the bathroom. Our tub faucet and handle were very worn and old; our shower pressure was quite good. The toilet flushed twice every time you flushed it. We had also reserved our room a year in advance due to college graduation. We were assigned a different room type. When we came back to the front desk, the attendant told us they were out of that room type. All of a sudden, he found one. What? The next day, we were talking to one of the front desk attendants and they could not find our name with our room number because the prior attendant never moved us in the system.

Despite the ongoing renovations and the temporary inconvenience of a non-operational elevator, I had an excellent stay. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the new laminate flooring and showers add a fresh touch. The staff deserve all the praise—they were incredibly welcoming and attentive. I felt very secure throughout my stay. This place is definitely my “go-to” from now on. Highly recommended!

Horrible place for the price. Feels very unsafe with no security from parking garage to elevators. You have to lay $15 for overnight parking. No breakfast. No amenities. Entire place is rundown. We are silver elite IHG members and have been offered bottled water before. Was told we can’t have any but they have some for $3! Room is run down, toilet literally next to shower. Toilet seat had spot on it. Carpet was dirty. Slept with chair against our door. Such a disappointment
