There is NO Shuttle Service.(The reason for 2* for Service and 3* for Facilities) They do offer compensation for uber/Lyft/Taxi within 3 miles(Rio Shopping Center and Shady Grove Metro), however for some reason Taxis Services won't come to this location. Use the Radisson Hotel next door instead for pick up. The Breakfast is very good, and staff is very friendly! It is a great place to stay if you just want to sleep, eat, and leave. The share fitness center is well maintained as well as a 24 hours small Dunkin' Donuts. Pool is seasonal. Everything works but AC/Heating Unit (one broken Grid) and TV(30”?) is a little out of date.

This is probably the single worst motel/hotel I have stayed in my entire life. I arrived early, so I understand some wait. I had to wait more than 2 hours (most hotels I have stayed at do have rooms ready before the listed check-in time). The staff was basically all from fairly to very unfriendly. After waiting for 1 & 1/2 hours I was told one room might be ready. After listening to the client before me state the Wi-Fi was completely inaccessible, I asked them what else I could expect not to work in this room. At this point the manager did an about face and told me I would have to wait another 30 minutes (they were obviously trying to dump me in a completely dysfunctional room). After another 30 minutes I was told the room was on the 3d floor, not the ground floor (I had an injury to my ankle tendon, so it was difficult to walk). When I arrived in the room this is what I found: 1) the door had been busted open repeatedly, so all the locks were loose and had been badly reattached. 2) the faucet fixture was completely loose and wiggly. 3) The hardware in the bathtub to turn the water on and off and regulate hot water was also completely loose and half busted. 4) The toilet seat was loose. 5) On the second day I found a live cockroach in the bathroom. 6) The AC and heating unit was basically impossible to adjust properly to a good temperature and was incredibly noisy when it came on 'automatically' so I had to turn it off. 7) The 'dinette' table attached to the wall was also loose. 8) The only 2 full days (in succession) that I stayed at the property, the front desk locked me out of my room by reprogramming the card keys: not only were there no apologies, but a holier-than-thou arrogant attitude when I complained about their actions. 9) There were innumerable people with significant problems staying at the motel. It almost looked like it was also functioning as a housing location for the destitute and the mentally questionable. On Saturday morning a lady trudged around the 3d and 4th floors, heavily banging and dragging her feet, and every 2-3 seconds emitting very loud lamentations. She did this for about 1 and ½ hours. People had barking dogs at 5 in the morning. There was constant car traffic at all hours of the night. Much door slamming. While some of this might be fully acceptable if it were a charitable organization housing the disadvantaged, to do this as or in combination with a motel, is unacceptable. 10) The cleaning ladies resented cleaning, and basically did nothing and made you feel they had just graciously performed the most difficult and demanding task in the world for just changing the towels. 11) I asked if they gave wake-up calls. The lady at the desk said she didn’t really know who would be there. She then agreed to a certain time in the morning the following day. ***Of course, that call was never made. 12) When given the card keys to enter the room, absolutely no instructions were given for the internet. No extra service, just standard. They booked us 60+ on the fourth floor & then told us the elevator was not working! They were booked so nothing could be done. Glad one of us didn’t have a wheelchair! Disappointed in Sleep Inn, I expected a little more friendliness/welcoming. I also booked a non smoking room. When we finally climbed 4 flights of steps due to elevator broken, opened the door to the Room & it smelled smokey & the air conditioner was turned off! It was steaming hot in the room! I won’t be booking at this hotel anymore. Very disappointed Sleep Inn- Frederick, Maryland!!!

North Ocean City
Being team mom of an 11u boys travel baseball Team, I was put in charge to find us lodging in Ocean City, MD in July! That's a task in itself. I reached out to several hotels to try to get a decent group rate. The Comfort Inn Gold Coast was the best rate by far. Location is great so figured we would give it a shot! I worked with Meghan Campbell from start to finish. She kept in touch with me when needed and worked with me on adding/removing rooms/dates as well as the payment and rooming list dates. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and we will be back. All families had a wonderful time! The hotel is clean and very accommodating for a travel baseball team/family. It was also perfectly located for where our tournament was held which was Northside Park! Public beach access was just across the street, which made us easy for the families to enjoy their time. Highly recommend this hotel as well as Meghan for group reservations. We will be back next year!!

Thank goodness I saw some remodeling supplies bc it's severely needed. Even still, no reason for dirty lampshades, wobbly towel rack, dirty windows, ceiling brace for shower curtain rod that was not secured to the wall properly. Shrubbery in front was so overgrown, main lobby entrance was difficult to find as well as not well lit. Felt unsafe. Walls need painted A $50 CASH deposit required. Breakfast was included but pittyful. Waffles or cereal was the only choice. Coffee, no tea. 6am-9am. Seriously, 9am ! Bathroom vanity was nice. Staff friendly.

The room did not have an adequate number of wash cloths and bath towels. Plus I noticed there were what looked to be cigarette burns on the comforter for it to have been a non-smoking room.

The hotel badly needs upgrading. The carpets look as if they have been there forever, and the breakfast area could do with some improvement. The muffins were out and uncovered, and there were no tongs to serve them. There were no forks available either Saturday or Sunday, so guests had to improvise. The bedroom was large and clean, and the bathroom was also clean. Unfortunately they seem to have a roach problem, as there was a dead one in the dining area and one in the lobby. They were cleaned out, but it’s a bit gross to see them ( little ones to be fair) upside down on the floor. Also outside the front door there were a number of dead ones. Maybe I’m being unfair, and maybe the hotel had just been treated for bugs, but one in the dining area is actually unacceptable.

Shower was a disaster. Mold all round and blowing out of air conditioner. Notice the insincere responses given to this review and others by the owner. The only way to help this hotel is for anyone who stays here to contact the home office of Comfort Inn. Tell the home office how bad this hotel is and that Comfort Inn's sales rep is doing a bad job by not getting this hotel in line with other Comfort Inn hotels. It's clear that the owners of this hotel as well as the regional manager of Comfort Inn hotels are letting the Comfort Inn's name be blemished and it is unfortunate. The best thing you can do for other customers and this hotel is to contact Comfort Inn's home office. That's what I am going to do.
