I was very happy to book at Al Shahba Hotel and the high-class treatment at the reception.. The employee Anhar was very nice in dealing and told us about the restaurants around the hotel and the grocery store. The location is excellent and is 20 minutes from the airport. She also brought us an extra blanket upon request. The bed is beautiful and the mattress and pillows are excellent. Only there is a smell coming from the sink and I think that the hotel is renovated but the pipes are not good.. We stayed for one night only because our plane will leave at nine in the morning. A room and a lounge for 350 riyals is an excellent price.
I was really disappointed with the cleanliness during my stay. When I checked in, I found that the soap in the washroom had not been changed after the previous guest – this is unacceptable for hygiene standards. Also, I tried several times to contact the property before check-in using the number provided, but was unable to reach anyone. It's frustrating not to be able to connect when you need help the most. The property itself was good, but the service definitely needs improvement.
Great hotel with all amenities. Well equipped Gym and a decent size pool. Staff are pleasant and always ready to help. The only downside is pool closes at 6pm. In my opinion it should be open for a while later due to the heat outside especially in the hotter months
I enjoyed my stay, the room was big with a couple of sofas to relax on, a desk and a comfortable chair.
Water, kettle, tea/coffee available in the room for free. The bathroom is also big and clean with shower gel and shampoo dispenser.
There are 6 lifts so hardly any waiting for it to come. Staff are accommodating, helpful and flexible. They go the extra mile to ensure you are pleased with their service. Any request is dealt with promptly. A pleasant stay, thank you to all staff members.
I recently stayed here for my first Umrah, and this hotel truly made the experience so much more comfortable. As anyone who has performed Umrah knows, it can really take a toll on your body, and having a place to rest properly is essential to regain the energy to pray in the best manner. This hotel gave me that comfort.
The staff were very kind and friendly, always ready to help. The shuttle service to and from Haram every half an hour was a blessing—it made life much easier and saved us from the hassle of dealing with local taxis. Honestly, I’m not someone who enjoys bargaining, and some taxi drivers will charge whatever they can get away with. For example, one driver quoted me 70 riyals to return to my hotel, while the Careem app showed the same trip for only 18 riyals! Thankfully, I avoided being ripped off, but the shuttle service spared me from this stress altogether.
Overall, I was very happy with my stay. The hotel played a big role in making my first Umrah smooth and comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for convenience, kindness, and peace of mind during such a blessed journey.
Positives:
- maybe new? The inside looks good!
- very welcoming
- easy access
- easy parking
- quite nice view from window or back in the pool area
What could be improved:
- could upgrade the windows so it would be noise free. It’s key to good night sleep.
Nothing much to say except this is definitely what you call a 5 star. Everything from smooth check in to check out was perfect. Location very good to haram. Top hotel restaurant/buffet. So much options on food. The whole hotel looks great also, massive lobby. Service was quality from front of house to all porters/cleaners/chefs.
And beautiful masjid built in hotel. Highly recommend, might be little pricey but honestly you’ll 100% get your moneys worth, especially for umrah/hajj. I was there last few days of ramadan and eid, thinking because of how busy it will be during this period, might not get a good service or late check in etc. but totally opposite. It was worth every penny. Im originally from uk so expecting quality for the price i paid. Definitely all paid off.
Great location. Service was top class, although we did have to request for the dofa bed to be made a few times before someone came.
Only one major issue was we were put in a smoking room though we booked a non-smoking room. However, the room actually did not smell too bad so we can let it pass. Excellent option for the airport!
It was good stay with my family. Very near to the Haram and there is mall connecting to the hotel. Friendly staff and helpful. Clean rooms but the service was slow. Highly recommended.
Good service, good hospitality, it was very good to see jeddah through centro shaheen hotel ,

MMarziraHotel Review: Raffles Makkah Palace
My recent stay at Raffles Makkah Palace was absolutely outstanding, offering a seamless blend of luxury, thoughtful touches, and exceptional service that made our experience unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the reception team and delighted with a complimentary upgrade upon check-in. The upgraded room was not only spacious with breathtaking views but also impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, reflecting the hotel’s high standards.
A special thank you to the reception manager, whose professionalism and welcoming demeanor made the check-in process smooth and set a positive tone for our stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our satisfaction were truly appreciated.
One of the thoughtful touches that enhanced our experience was the provision of bath salts, allowing us to unwind and relax after completing Umrah. It was a small but meaningful gesture that added to the overall sense of care.
The service throughout the hotel was exceptional. The housekeeping team was proactive, consistently checking in to ensure we had enough towels, toiletries, and other essentials, contributing significantly to our comfort.
Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The breakfast service team was attentive and welcoming, ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. They even provided a walk-around tour of the buffet spread, introducing us to the menu and explaining the dishes. The breakfast theme was thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of delicious options to suit every palate.
Desta and Sandhy stood out for their exceptional hospitality. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs, making us feel truly valued as guests. Hajar also deserves special recognition for her patience and creativity in resolving our requests with practical and thoughtful solutions.
The in-room dining team, especially Farouk, provided excellent service. Farouk’s attentiveness and efficiency ensured that every meal was delivered promptly and with care, enhancing our overall experience.

SSmileeeI had the pleasure of staying at Violet Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and I wanted to share my experience with everyone considering a trip to this holy city.
First, the location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is situated just a short distance from the Haram, making it incredibly convenient for performing prayers and attending religious duties. The view from my room offered a beautiful sight of the surroundings, providing a serene feel which added to my spiritual journey.
The staff at Violet Hotel deserve special mention. From the moment I checked in, they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The concierge service was particularly helpful in assisting me with local transportation and offering advice on places to visit.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. I appreciated the modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and a fully-stocked minibar. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to get some much-needed rest after long days of prayers and exploration. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, ensuring the room was spotless each day.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, from local Saudi dishes to international fare, all prepared with fresh ingredients. I also dined at the in-house restaurant for dinner a couple of times, and the meals were absolutely delightful.
In terms of facilities, the Violet Hotel offers several amenities that enhance the guest experience. There is a well-equipped fitness center, which I found extremely beneficial to keep up with my exercise routine. The business center also came in handy as I needed to catch up on some work during my stay.
Overall, my experience at Violet Hotel was exceptional. Whether you are visiting Makkah for a spiritual pilgrimage or just to explore the city, I highly recommend staying here. The combination of its prime location, excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic dining options make it a great choice for any traveler.
MMoonyhoneyIt was good stay with my family. Very near to the Haram and there is mall connecting to the hotel. Friendly staff and helpful. Clean rooms but the service was slow. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserI booked executive room & expect a great amenities , the toilet is way too small.I arrived in Makkah early and sent an email two days before my arrival if I Check in little early but the hotel appear to be clueless about my request. The receptionist can speak fluent English
witch is great for Non Arabic speaking guest.
AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent, and the Red Sea is about 100 meters away.
Facilities: Not bad, and the room is big. The mattress is really soft and has good support. This Simmons mattress is the most comfortable I have ever slept on in my life. The last photo is the view from the window, and the Red Sea is not far away.
