I had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel Taichung! This is truly a 5-star experience from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. As soon as my taxi pulled up, the bellboy came over right away and helped with my luggage—even sending it directly to my room without me needing to handle anything. Such thoughtful service!
The room was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I especially loved the little touches, like the Nespresso coffee machine for a nice cup of coffee anytime. The biggest surprise was the complimentary mini bar—there were four bottles of soft drinks provided for free, which was such a nice bonus!
The bathroom was also impressively large, clean, and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious feel of the stay.

Whenever I'm on a business trip to Taichung, I always stay here. I used to stay at the Howard Plaza Hotel next door, but ever since I discovered this place, there's been no looking back.
I love that they have a sauna, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, with a minimalist design, and an open view. The breakfast buffet is also quite good.

Great for family trip. The service of room was satisfying and quite fast. As soon as we enter our room in third floor, we noticed the size of slippers provided was too large. To our surprise, they took care of the problem almost immediately. I will give the service five star. As for the swimming pool, the quality of water is also good enough for children in 6-12 age group. BTW, thanks for the swimming pool service people. They gave us medication for mosquito biting in emergency.

We booked a one-night stay in a SPA-themed room with two double beds. We checked into the hotel at 7:35 PM on July 24th. Upon entering the room, we discovered the toilet wasn't flushing and there was no cold water in the private hot spring bathroom. We immediately notified the front desk, and hotel staff promptly came to fix it. They explained it might have been due to a water supply issue. Since the hot spring bathroom only had scalding hot water and no cold, it was impossible to take a bath. After urgent repairs, both hot and cold water were restored around 11:15 PM. However, by midnight, the toilet started leaking non-stop (it was still leaking when we checked out). Upon waking up in the morning, we were very concerned about a potential electrical hazard. Paying such a high price for a hotel with so many faulty facilities was truly not worth it.
After checking out, the hotel offered us a pudding as an apology. However, this experience was utterly unsatisfactory, leaving a very poor impression of the hotel's facilities and overall quality. We definitely won't be returning.FromVND 2,975,485

Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do.
The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water.
Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem.

We particularly appreciated the hotel’s location, very convenient and easily accessible from the train station, which makes getting around the city easy. The breakfast is of good quality and meets the group’s standards, offering a decent variety to start the day. The bedding also meets usual IHG expectations: very comfortable and restful, although the room is a bit noisy.
However, there were some disappointing aspects. We had booked a room with an atrium view, but it turned out to be a shopping area open late and brightly lit 24/7. Information on this was insufficient, and we had to keep the curtains closed at all times to maintain some privacy. In addition, the room furniture is clearly outdated and does not match the quality level expected from an IHG property, which was quite disappointing.

What I didn't like was their very strict check-in and check-out times – check-out at 11 AM and check-in at 3 PM. They charge you for exceeding these times. However, one morning, they started cleaning the hallway at 9 AM, and the noise of the machines woke me up, even though it wasn't even housekeeping time yet. We enjoyed our stay at ICloud Luxury Resort& Hotel. The room is spacious and clean. The best part is the spa bath tub. Although the tv in the front of spa bath tub didn’t work but we can watch the TV in the bedroom.

Extremely disappointed 😞. The family room I saw in the pictures wasn't the one I stayed in, and there were no photos of my actual room type available on Trip.com. The room I got didn't match the price I paid. I booked specifically for the room design, so I was really upset when I arrived. When I asked at the front desk, they told me, 'Because you didn't request it? So it's just a standard room?' I had no idea there were other room types. I came during a public holiday (and my price was more than double the usual rate), but I didn't get the room I wanted. I really can't accept this!
The most unreasonable thing, in my opinion, was the security deposit. I'm okay with paying a deposit, but why wasn't it refunded immediately? Who traveling for a vacation in Taiwan wants to wait over two weeks for a refund? I've already waited fourteen days, and they're saying it's Trip.com's problem and not theirs??? The staff just shifted all the blame and didn't help resolve the issue at all! It's already 2/28 to 3/14 and I still haven't received my money? What happened to the promised 7 to 14 days? And I can't find anyone who can help resolve this problem!
I hope the hotel can help deal with this instead of just saying it's not their problem. The hotel partners with Trip.com; they help you get guests, so why are you so indifferent to your customers' issues??? Who would dare to book with you again after this??? (RM591.92) Is the deposit for one night the same as the holiday room price??? Maybe you didn't collect it directly, but since you let Trip.com collect it, you should be responsible for helping to inquire and assist customers in getting their money back. The room wasn't large, but adequate.

The hotel staff are very polite, attentive and caring. Transportation is also very convenient. Opposite is the 153 bus terminal, which goes from Taichung High Speed Rail Station to Guguan. There are also buses to Taichung Railway Station, which is very convenient. There are many delicious foods nearby, as well as Family Mark and 7-11. Daily necessities are also easy to buy. There is a post office nearby so you can send postcards to relatives and friends.
It is very convenient to go to nearby attractions from the hotel, and the signboards are very clear.
On the first day we arrived at the hotel, the waiter took my husband and me to our room. When we entered the room, we were startled to see some small insects. The waiter immediately helped to clear them away and changed us to another room because the window of the room had been opened and there were bound to be small insects in nature. Thank you, Mr. Waiter.
Because of our age and we had never slept on Japanese tatami, we felt very uncomfortable when we woke up the next day. The waiter was very nice! We were given a change to a very nice room. Although it cost a little extra, the waiter was really attentive and polite.
On the other hand, I really appreciated their breakfast preparation. The salads and sandwiches were freshly made, which was very heartwarming. I was very grateful to the breakfast cook who noticed that my husband did not eat salads and cooked two boiled eggs and carrot cakes for him the next day. I appreciated her attentiveness and service attitude.

Overall, I was quite disappointed.
Right from check-in, the staff couldn't find my reservation, and they even asked for my surname in English, and the number and gender of guests, which was a bit odd.
I noticed a lot of things because I was waiting for my luggage in the lobby for a very long time. The seating area around the art installation in the lobby was dusty, especially the back rows, and the outdoor area was full of fallen leaves.
While I was busy with my child and family arranging crafts, my luggage had already been taken to the room. When I realized I needed my carry-on bag, the staff said they would retrieve it from the room for me (we hadn't even checked into the room yet). I had a carry-on with my child's daily essentials, and my child needed to use the restroom. So, we waited in the lobby for that bag for nearly 20 minutes.
Regarding the other facilities, the welcome tea was incredibly simple. The window in our room had large water stains on the glass (I initially thought it was fog). Below our room, there was an area with weeds and what looked like abandoned moss, which felt out of place. It seemed like the most effort the hotel put in was the gardening, and I couldn't understand why this particular area existed; it was a huge contrast.
Considering all meal costs are extra, it really didn't offer good value for money at all. The food, however, was very good, and the laundry service was a plus. All the staff members were friendly and welcoming.

Before the ***** New Year, we took a trip to Taichung and stayed at a hotel near Feng Chia Night Market. The location is excellent, right at the entrance of the night market and opposite the university's main gate. Everything else was fine, but they charged an extra NT$180 for our 8-year-old for breakfast. We went down at 10:10 AM and there was almost nothing left, so our child ended up just having half a bowl of braised pork rice. That was really expensive! There's a whole row of breakfast places downstairs, so if you're staying here, definitely don't include breakfast. It's not worth it at all; you're better off trying local breakfast spots or the student-favorite queues. Another point is the lack of parking. They sent us to a contracted parking lot two blocks away, and we still had to pay an additional NT$160 per car. That's really inconvenient and not cost-effective. Other than these issues, everything else was okay. The lobby is on the 12th floor, check-out requires going up, and breakfast is also on the 12th floor, while the rooms are below the 12th floor. I made a spontaneous trip to Taichung and stumbled upon this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by how bright and clean the decor was. The parking is mechanical, which is fine for smaller cars, and the front desk staff meticulously explained how to use it.
The check-in process works like this: you drive up to the entrance for a temporary stop, go inside to register your ID and license plate, then drive your car to the right-side lane at the entrance. The front desk staff will open the barrier for you, and you park your car in the designated spot they assign. After that, you take the elevator back to the first floor to pick up your room card.
Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM and is delivered to the hotel's dining area from a partner breakfast shop. You can pick it up on the first floor and eat at the nearby tables and chairs or take it back to your room.
The double room was quite spacious, with a Japanese-style low table and chairs. My only minor complaint is that the bed felt a bit too soft for my liking, though it wasn't enough to cause back pain. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was excellent, and the hairdryer was one of those convenient ones you don't have to constantly hold down the button for.
