Family Friendly Hotels in Chongqing, China

The room is next to the river. You can see the clear water of Wujiang River while lying on the bed. It is very comfortable and the room is large. The facilities are quite complete, and the cruise ship terminal is just a few steps away, which is very convenient. The boss can buy boat tickets for you, which is much cheaper. We had dinner at his house because the dishes in every restaurant on the street are pretty much the same and there's not much to choose from. The food tasted good but was a little expensive. They don't provide breakfast, but luckily there's a breakfast shop next door, so it's quite convenient. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the food and accommodation!

The room is clean and big. I booked a room with a bathtub and a balcony. The location is convenient and easy to find. It is the first one you take the elevator up from the South Gate Tourist Information Center. The owner is warm and helpful. He even picked us up. He has a cat 🐱 that you can touch. It is very well behaved. Unfortunately, when I wanted to hug it again the next day, it slipped out to play and I didn't see it. There is a pier downstairs where you can take a boat. I also saw the stars at night. The lights are turned on at 7pm. There are many lanterns, which are very beautiful. It was off-season when I went there. There were not many tourists. It was quiet. It was nice to walk around and relax. The water of Wujiang River is as green as emerald, which is very beautiful.

Perfect Hotel. Looks exactly like the pictures but better. Greeted with a very warm welcome. Room was very big, clean and great air con system. Location: perfect, everything in walking distance. If you want to go further, the metro is 2mins away. Will stay here again for sure. Big thank you to the girl at front desk (sorry I don’t know your name!) but you helped me plan trips and suggested a great noodle place! Perfect stay!

As a foreign traveler, my stay at MOUNTWELL·Shanqi Executive Suite Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongya Cave Branch) in Chongqing was an absolute delight! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk. They were not only efficient in handling the check - in process but also incredibly helpful, providing me with detailed information about local attractions and delicious food spots in English. The room was a haven of comfort and luxury. The large floor - to - ceiling windows offered an unbeatable view of Chongqing's stunning skyline. At night, the city lights twinkled like stars, creating a magical scene that I couldn't get enough of. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. Modern amenities such as a Dyson hairdryer added a touch of high - end convenience. The hotel's location is superb. Just a short walk from Jiaochangkou Subway Station, it made getting around the city a breeze. Popular attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongya Cave were easily accessible on foot. Overall, this hotel perfectly combined comfort, convenience, and excellent service. It truly enhanced my experience in Chongqing, and I can't wait to stay here again on my next visit!

I arrived in drizzling rain and was hesitating about my luggage when I saw the 70-year-old shop owner coming to greet me in the rain and insisting on helping me with my suitcase. The old man walked steadily, not even noticing the hair on his clothes sticking to his clothes. His kindness and generosity made people respect him immediately. The ”Magpie Bridge Fairy House” is indeed worthy of its reputation. When you open the window, you can see the misty waves of Wujiang River and the clouds surrounding the green mountains. The room is clean and elegantly decorated, and every table and couch shows the careful consideration. The couple who owns the shop treats customers with sincerity: ☘️ Each room is equipped with a bathroom heater, which can exhaust air and adjust the temperature. If the weather is cold, it can also turn on the warm air. If the clothes are wet, they can also be dried. Disposable bath towels are also provided. Most hotels or B&Bs will not provide these thoughtful facilities❤️ ☘️ Nut snacks and mosquito repellent are placed at the entrance of the shop for customers; this shows the attentiveness of the shop owner. 🌿 Get up early and enjoy a warm breakfast with homemade authentic noodles and hot yam porridge, very satisfying 🌿 Knowing that it is cold on rainy days, I specially prepared hot tea to ward off the cold 🌿 Before leaving, they bid farewell to each other with warm words, gave them local tea, and told them to take care on their journey. This kind of friendship is not just like an ordinary stay, it’s like the home of distant relatives and friends! The beauty of Gongtan in the mist is even more precious because of this human touch❤️🩷

Excellent location with literally 5 mins walk to the busy pedestrian street. Hotel is located within and office blocks, fairly common for all the hotel within the city vicinity. Easy to find the hotel with good signage on ground level. Very central location, with easy pickup/drop off to move around with Didi. The room is spacious, and functional. Has an in-room washing machine with dryer which is fully functional. They provided laundry detergents, so very helpful. Staff are friendly, prompt and helpful. Appreciate that they connect me to the highly sought after dinner cum performance 礼宴. Value stay.

5-Star Stay in Chongqing! Our recent stay in Chongqing was fantastic! The hotel’s location was perfect—close to major attractions like Hongya Cave and Jiefangbei, with easy metro access. The personalised service from 阿娇 truly stood out; the staff remembered our preferences and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even recommended hidden local eateries, which were amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and offered stunning city views. Such a memorable experience—we’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chongqing!

This was the second time i came to stay at this hotel, and i can say with confidence that this is an excellent place to stay in the heart of Chongqing. The location is perfect and central to all attractions and also easily acceable to metro stations nearby. The food courts are within a 2 minute walk from the front door, and there is food available 24 hrs in the area. My highest praise goes to the wonderful staff who were always attentive to our needs and assisted with any questions we had about the city, transport, and general directions. All the staff were really great, especially Xiao Lian and Xiao Zhao at the reception who were very kind and helpful. Thankyou ! We stayed in two different types of rooms, both times the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. amazing value for money considering the location and quality, in the center of the city!

The location is excellent, within walking distance of Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street and close to restaurants, shopping, and public transport. Staff were friendly and efficient, and check-in was smooth. Although English communication was limited, everything went well thanks to their helpful attitude. Overall, this room offers great comfort, space, and a beautiful city view — a perfect choice for travelers wanting both convenience and a touch of luxury in Chongqing.

I went to 7 cities in China and experienced different hotels and i can say Walling Hotel place is no. 1 for me!! The service is excellent, Team no. 3 is so helpful, they are very kind, can speak english and they provide helpful tourist information for Chongqing. The family suite that i booked is amazing - clean and the equipments are great (toilet, hair dryer, shower, everything~), the living room is so spacious so my family can chill in there, got washer and dryer, the breakfast is also great got many varieties! Everyone is so kind and friendly, and not to forget the cleaning 阿姨 is so kind and helpful, i asked my laundry that has been dried to be put aside and she went beyond by helping folding the laundry and putting it in our room nicely. When we checked out they gave us a lovely Chongqing snacks, me and my family ate it on our way to another city and the taste are great!  Thank you so much to the Walling Hotel Chongqing staffs for a really great experience while me and my family stayed in your hotel, I wish many more people will stay in your hotel and I hope to stay in this hotel again when I'm back visiting Chongqing!
