Akigawa Basin Fireworks Festival | Akiruno
Celebration
The Akigawa Fireworks Festival takes place at Tokyo Summerland's second parking lot. This is one of Tokyo's largest autumn fireworks displays, with approximately 5,000 fireworks set to soar into the sky. Popular children's songs and nostalgic songs will be played throughout the festival, creating a vibrant performance that intertwines with the music. Starting in the afternoon, local dance troupes and folk art groups will perform, allowing you to experience the charm of the Akigawa River. Furthermore, from noon until evening, food stalls will be open, offering Akigawa River delicacies, making for a warm and relaxing day out with family and friends.
Viewing fireworks in the clear, late autumn air offers a distinctly different energy from summer fireworks. With fall foliage in full bloom, it's recommended to enjoy a stroll through the surrounding nature before viewing the fireworks or spend the day exploring scenic spots. A variety of performances and local delicacies will also be available, ensuring a day filled with the unique colors of autumn.
