The fireworks display marks the second day of the Kisarazu Port Festival, which began in 1948 and has been held for 79 years. Every year in mid-August, approximately 14,000 fireworks illuminate the night sky over the inner harbor of Kisarazu Port. The day before the fireworks display, the "Ansai Dance Festival" is held on Fujimi-dori Street, immersing the entire city in a two-day festive atmosphere. As the sun sets, clusters of brilliant fireworks bloom, illuminating the port's iconic Nakanoshima Bridge, creating a breathtaking scene unique to Kisarazu. The biggest highlight is the super-large Spark Mine, possessing one of the largest gunpowder reserves in the Kanto region. A series of spectacular fireworks displays take place, including a barrage of 10-foot and 20-foot shells, as well as underwater fireworks illuminating the sea. Because the launch site is located in the inner harbor, the sky and water are bathed in light, creating an immersive and awe-inspiring experience, even allowing one to feel the vibrations in their body.

Chiba City's traditional summer event, the "Chiba Three Generations Family Summer Festival," is being held again this year! Centered around Chiba Central Park, the festival is filled with traditional and vibrant activities, including a lively mobile shrine and floats, parades, the Yoruko dance, and a children's samurai parade! Among the many events, the "Chiba Dance for Three Generations" is a must-see, where many people dance in the streets to the beat of drums. Be sure to experience this vibrant atmosphere that transcends generations. This year also marks an important milestone: the 900th anniversary of Chiba Prefecture. The closing ceremony includes the release of sky lanterns to commemorate the 900th anniversary of Chiba City, symbolizing the city's history and aspirations for the future. The festival concludes under dazzling lights, a scene as beautiful and dreamlike as ever.

This fireworks display was held at Hakucho Beach in Oami-Shirasato City, Chiba Prefecture. Starlight and information fireworks were launched, with 3,000 fireworks illuminating the night sky over 60 minutes. Because it was held on the beach, the view was unobstructed, allowing for a beautiful view of the fireworks from almost anywhere. Enjoying the fireworks while feeling the night sea breeze was also one of the highlights of the event. Food stalls were also set up around the venue, where you could enjoy a variety of food and drinks. The most spectacular part was the underwater starburst fireworks launched into the sea. They looked like flowers blooming in the ocean, creating a fantastical world.

From August 1st (Saturday) to August 17th (Monday), 2026, approximately 150 fireworks will be launched nightly from Kominato Fishing Port in Minamiboso, brilliantly illuminating the summer night sky. The fireworks can be launched from Kominato Fishing Port or viewed from beaches, such as Uchiura Beach near JR Awa-Kominato Station. There are no designated viewing areas, so you can choose any viewing spot you like. The fireworks can be enjoyed from hotels and inns along the coast, offering a unique experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city. During the event, lanterns and paper lanterns will be placed on the steps of the Niōmon Gate of Tanshō-ji Temple leading to Kominato Fishing Port, where the fireworks will also be set off. You can also enjoy a refreshing foot bath at the foot bath pool of Tanshō-ji Temple from 9:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

The 62nd annual fireworks display will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at the tranquil Kagamiura Beach in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture. This event has become a summer tradition in Tateyama City, with fireworks reflected on the mirror-like water creating a breathtaking spectacle. Underwater fireworks have become a signature feature of the event, dazzlingly illuminating the summer night sky. The famous No. 8 underwater firework, with a diameter of 250 meters, is launched directly from the sea surface, and its semi-circular shape creates a fantastical circular effect when reflected on the water.
