The location is great, very close to Osaka Station, making transportation convenient. The facilities are up to star-level standards and it's quiet. The thoughtful details enhance the experience. There are also convenient dining options nearby, such as Chinese restaurants and Yoshinoya. It's perfect for business travelers.
Overall the staff were almost nice and helpful. But there was one staff on the night shift forced to speak Mandarin to us even we talked in English to him. He sounded rude and not willing to talk more and ask us to check in the room.
The room was just ok to us in terms of size but it looked old and stains are found in the toilet. The carpet seemed not cleaned regularly and toilet bowl was not the smart toilet which disappointed us. We thought that the smart toilet was the standard in Japan. Never meet this kind of room type in Japan.
The location was nice and convenient. It was very closed to Ebisu food street and Tsutenkaku Tower. There are many shopping areas so this location is very convenient.

Convenient location, clean and comfortable, excellent value for money!
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at Nihonbashi Crystal Hotel!
* **Location:** Within walking distance of Namba and Nihonbashi stations. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it very easy to get to Kuromon Market and Shinsekai.
* **Room:** Although not large, it was very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, and the facilities were well-maintained.
* **Service:** The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were very smooth. Even with limited language skills, they tried their best to help.
* **Amenities:** There's a free drink machine in the lobby, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel overall is quiet, so I slept very well at night.
* **Price:** For a location like this in Osaka, the room rate is truly a bargain – extremely good value for money.

Getting in and out is super convenient, with Aeon Supermarket right across the street! The hotel is also very close to Daimaru Shinsaibashi, so the transportation is excellent, and the price is good too! Aside from the room being a bit small, I really can't find any other faults!

This hotel is the 1st one that I choose when I started my japan trip in 2018. Glad to be back here again as this is technically my 3rd time staying. I actually was hopping I got the street view but still it was good.Personally I also quite like the interior design of the hotel. The location of the hotel is good as it is near to the food street of Dotonbori. I actually like the smoothing healing music that was provided on the TV as I will have a short nap while listening to it before moving off. Overall I have a very good experience with my stay. Staffs were friendly and helpful and greeted upon when meeted. I will choose this hotel again next year when I visit japan again.

Rooms are really small but!!! For the price you pay, it's really worth it. Shin-imamiya station just right across the road, it's super convenient. There's a konbini just right downstairs too. The rooms aren't much to scream about, but they provide a good rest. Toilets are small, but expected of Japan. It was a good experience nevertheless given the superb location. Front desk staff are friendly and spoke relatively good English, providing us with directions and good recommendations on places to eat in the vicinity. Osaka tower is just a short walk away! They've even got a luggage weighing scale at the lobby for you to weigh in the bags before heading to the airport.

Traveling with kids, we booked a family room, which was essentially two standard rooms connected by a door. This made it super convenient for the kids to run between rooms and play, while the adults still had their own private space without disturbing each other. The rooms weren't overly spacious but were well-arranged and kept spotlessly clean. It was easy to get around from the hotel, and we had a very comfortable stay. A small point to note is that there's a step up to the bathroom, so kids need to be careful not to trip. Overall, the value for money was excellent.

The hotel is quite a distance from the metro station, requiring at least a 10-20 minute walk, which is very inconvenient. The coffee table in the room was exceptionally small. The power outlets were located on the headboard, so at night, I'd often accidentally hit the switch with my head while sleeping, causing the lights to suddenly come on. This also meant I had to charge my devices on the bed, which felt unsafe. It truly only felt like a 3-star standard; I'm not sure how it justifies its 4-star rating. Don't let the hotel's name mislead you.

Location is convenient but requires 5 to 10 mins walk to nearest train station. It's in a business neighbourhood so not many late night food options available around but its a nice quiet place to go back to after a day out at bustling umeda or namba. Hotel room was really spacious, nicely done up and comfortable; I wish I had one more night here. Service staff at the lobby were all friendly and they very graciously gave me an early check-in when there was a room available. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay! It was super convenient to get to the outlets, and I was so happy to find many great things for my son and husband. I'll definitely be back!
The service was top-notch, and the complimentary Pola facial cleanser samples felt very luxurious.
Shopping at Daimaru was also incredibly easy.

TTravellingmamaThe hotel is situated right in front of USJ and lots of restaurants to choose from. There is a big Lawson to top up your snacks and drinks too. Room is spacious and can easily fit a small family. The beds are clean. Easy check in and check out. They have full bathroom amenities, kettle and flask to collect water. The thing to improve on is the wifi. We can hardly connect to it and the TV programs don’t load.
DDingmaomisThe room design was modern and minimalist, making excellent use of the space, and it was spotless. My only minor complaint was that the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, which unfortunately led to a restless first night. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor lounge on the ground floor. The Western-style set breakfast was also quite delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with this hotel.

Amazing
MMengmengmamaChoosing InterContinental Osaka was hands down the smartest decision I made!
The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!
CCHUN YIPThe hotel is very conveniently located, just a 3-minute walk from Exit 7 of Nippombashi Subway Station.
The hotel offers basic amenities, but the rooms are clean.
The hotel also provides complimentary bread, juice, and coffee every morning!
This hotel is very cost-effective and highly recommended!
CCG Lim1The Holiday Inn Osaka Namba was an excellent choice for my trip!
I was so impressed with the location. It's absolutely perfect for exploring Osaka, as it is just steps away from the heart of Dotonbori and surrounded by major shopping areas. Being able to step out and immediately be in the middle of the action—from famous food stalls to department stores—made the entire trip so convenient.
Furthermore, the hotel itself was wonderfully clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and the room provided a comfortable and quiet retreat after busy days of sightseeing.
MM41230****I booked this hotel quite last minute before my trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. After reading some reviews, I opted for a twin room for more space, and even though it's near a main road, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came daily. The hotel offers a variety of self-service toiletries you can pick up, and a special touch I appreciated was the complimentary overnight face masks. Downstairs, there's a large AEON food supermarket, and the Shiyobashi Subway Station Exit 2 is just a short walk away. Getting to Shinsaibashi only takes a few minutes. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere – truly a hotel that has it all!

Great
PPstravelHave stayed at the main tower and the residence tower. The family room for residence tower is so much better, very spacious and with lots of space to put luggage. There’s a washing machine within the room and toilet and shower are separated, very good design especially when staying in a group for 4. Location wise is good, room is clean too. 7-11 is just right downstairs beside the the residence tower, metro is nearby as well.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is super easy to find, right by Exit 1 of Dobutsuen-mae Station, and it's literally next door to the Shinsekai area with Tsutenkaku Tower. It's incredibly convenient for both transport and sightseeing.
They have their own hot spring, which is amazing for relaxing after a day of exploring. The room size is pretty decent too, definitely more spacious than your typical Japanese express hotel. Plus, the breakfast spread offers a good variety. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka!
SSummerI know toilet paper in Japan is generally thin, but out of all the hotels I've stayed at, this is the only one where the paper crumbles instantly and leaves large pieces, making it very difficult to use.
The room had an odd shape, but it was spacious, and the view was great (though there was a large handprint on the window that I only noticed when I turned on the lights at night, which startled me).
The location is a plus, with direct access to the station, so you don't have to cross any streets above ground. However, the downside of sharing with an office building is that only some elevators go to the hotel rooms, and you have to switch elevators again for breakfast, which is a bit inconvenient.
The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic, thank you.
GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay.
I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal strip. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced.
Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning.
Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door.
None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.
